  • Most of the quilts that I quilt aren't show quality works of art. They are quilts made to go on beds and snuggle with. Getting a consistent medium density across an entire quilt can be a little tricky. I use a combination of ruler work quilting and free-motion quilting to achieve this.

When I first saw this quilt, it was about the piecing, and when you quilted it, it was all about how beautiful it was quilted, and by the quilting, the diamonds popped! Its so beautiful. Thank you, I am learning a lot!

The simpler lines are nice. I have a tendency to overthink these areas. Thanks for getting my head back out of the clouds.

Your freehand circles are a thing of beauty.
    Another nice video.
Do you get a sore neck, back & or shoulders? You look very hunched over like your machine is too low?

I couldn't see a bloody thing on that green fabric lol. I do keep my machine lower than most people but it is much more comfortable when I can see where I'm going hahahaha.

GREAT quilting and motif ideas. What I do want to mention is the height of your frame. Looks FAR too low as I see both back and neck bending - something you'll pay dearly for later (ask me how I know). I was taught that height of frame should be chest high so that bending is not necessary. Take a look at your first frames of quilting ..... it actually looks painful to me! Hope this is a useful tip to you....and all watching!

I don't usually bend over this much. I couldn't see the stiches on the green border fabric. I am standing on my tip toes.

Hi! Sorry about the delay, summer is being amazing here on the west coast of Canada. The curved rulers are Quilted Pineapple. The straight rulers are from the Silly Moon Quilt Co. If you use my code you can get 10% off (QUILTINGCURVE) The little blue one is no longer for sale but you can find similar around ( it's a 2" round). My machine is an older Handi Quilter Avante

This pattern was designed by the maker. There is no official pattern. But from what I can tell, it is a classic sawtooth block. There are many patterns and tutorials.
