You should swap that head unit out for RNS510 or RNS310. Completely OEM then and you still got aux Bluetooth and sat nav ;)
The dashboard flickering is caused by the camera's FPS not matching the refresh rate of the lights on the dashboard, so sometimes when the camera takes a frame, the dashboard lights aren't on.

@@JackTalksCars No problem! I've seen the same thing happen in aviation videos, the artificial horizon flickers if the pilot has LCD instrument displays. I asked why it happened there, and that's where I got this answer from.

is it pink? is it veiny? do it squirt? is it fat? it is long?
The dash light flicker might be the frame rate of the camera or if it’s actually flickering you might wanna get that checked out.
It’s the frame rate on the camera, not the dash :)
I know this might be late but have you got links or pages for some of the parts you got for your polo, like the stereo, vw badges, phone holder

I’ve been thinking about getting a polo as my first car. How did you get the screen installed
great first car. any polo after 2010 is great and looks the part.(just dont like the look of anything older). the 1.2 petrol is great as its quite nippy and keep the insurance down aswell. also wondering about the screen.

Can somebody explain how tf that centre mirror works? On camera, you can see the Audi following you, but you can’t actually see the rear window, it’s a reflection on the seats?
Have you had any problems with the timing chain? Got myself a 2010 polo 1.2 and it’s got an intermittent engine light and cylinder 3 misfire. Been told the whole head needs refurbishing 🤦♂️
Hey! I did actually not long after buying my car the chain slipped so I had to get it replaced. Luckily it had gone too far so engine was all fine

Hi unsure if you’ll know but I have a 13 plate polo and there’s a setting where you can have it show your mph your travelling but mine doesn’t seem to work - do you know how to fix
Hi, I think that’s actually a code u can pick up little OBD coding devices ones called Carista I think. Hope that helps! :)
id love to have this first time car its just looks elegant and i wonder if the running cost will kill me for first time buyer xD
im a named driver on my mothers polo and literally the only thing you have to worry about with any polo after 2010 is the a.c going. that pretty much it(excluding accidents and all that, assuming your driving responsibly). brilliant first car. you'll find it quite nippy for a 1.2 and it keeps insurance down mate.

There is a turbo version and a non turbo version, mine is the non turbo :)

Mine were actually already on the car from the previous owner when I bought it! But you can pick them up on eBay and Amazon for around £25-30 for a set :)

Hey! It’s surprisingly quite a nippy little car for its engine! Very comfortable drive probably could just do with a sixth gear though 🤣!
Car looks sick I’ve the exact same model 2010, when you got your exhaust how did you get it fitted and did it cost much ? And same with the air filter?
Hey man thanks for watching! Air filter I fitted myself (fairly easy to do) and same with the exhaust, take off the old back box and clamp in the new one

Loved this video! So, I've got a BMW 1 series, and have been driving for about a year now. I'm just curious... What's it like driving with a box? When I was trying to get insurance for mine, it was so much cheaper with a box, but I ended up going for an insurance policy without one. Great video and love the content!

It’s not too bad to be honest, I thought it was going to be bad and pick up on every little minor mistake you make , I think it works well in keeping your insurance low and the following year you can choose a policy without a box for a lot less than it would’ve been if you didn’t have the box
Yea, I see what you mean! Like I say, I've had my 1 series for a good year now, and insurance is just through the roof. It was alright when I first started, as all I wanted to do was drive, but now, I'm keeping a look out for some policies for a bit cheaper. All the cheaper ones are with a box, which puts me off. But, with what you have said, in mind, I might give it a go! The difference in price is huge!! Even with a year of driving, policies with no box are still absurd prices!

Spoiler is from Maxton Design & alloys are 15” just standards that came with the car

Yes I had an upgraded touch screen, speakers and subwoofer! I sold the car with 95,000 miles

Depends on the provider I think as I’ve heard mixed reviews myself, however mine I’ve had no issues at all
