just bought a 2013 fiesta zetec s with 55,000 miles, i absolutely love it to death, i really really wish it had the blue dials but other than that, phenominal car
I’ve got an 11 plate fiesta and YES the brakes thing.. I thought it was my driving because I only passed a week before driving it but it still happens sometimes 4 months later I can’t get on with it but apart from that it drives so nicely, the gearbox is so smooth for an older car I defo recommend a fiesta to new drivers
These are what we call A roads, they're the 2 widest roads we have here, then we have B roads with dual traffic (oncoming in opposite direction obviously plus with parked cars on either side usually making them more narrow, then we have rural lanes which are enough for one car to go on, then you have deep rural with 6 - 8ft hedges either side completely obscuring any view on any hazards and these are legally 60mph roads 😂 I use all the above daily in my works 18t HGV (Truck).. plus we mostly use manuals instead of autos. You need to look at some other bids of our roads, they're mental. My usual work routes in my Truck have dual parked cars in residential areas, I literally have 3 to 6 inches either side of my wheels of me day in day out. 😂 Great for the skills I say.
I had my drivers license since 2016 but got my own fiesta back in 2022. It was a 2014 fiesta (with 2013 interior, so sadly no Bluetooth), but it at least it has 125hp, and I can just use a Bluetooth radio dongle. The price per performance is insane with this car! I've driven plenty of different cars in my life but my ford fiesta still beats all of them when it comes to price per performance, and how it feels to drive it! I'd recommend the fiesta to almost anyone as it does come in several different performance ranges. These are just a few of the cars that I've driven before I got my own car: Hyundai - I20, Peugeot - 307, Hyundai - I10 VW - UP, Ford - Mondeo, Fiat - Duplo duel jet, Mercedes - 200d, Audi - q3, Opel - Karl, Mercedes -ESprinter (and the list goes on and on :)) But still deep down to my core, out of all the cars I've driven I'd still pick the Fiesta, the performance is insane, and the experience behind the wheel is even better!
As a young driver who is looking for a cheap fun car to drive, the ford fiesta 1.0 ecoboost seems to be one of the perfect cars with its high km/pr liter. I've just heard that the engine is unreliable at least in the older models (2012-2014 er something). Have you experienced any trouble with the engine of your fiesta?
@@marcuscoliclandsvig7036 I've had my car for almost a year now. It had driven 24k when I picked it up and it's sitting at 42k now. I haven't had any issues with the engine. I do however have an issue with the a/c. It's currently only working on full blast. I also need to get my car serviced soon as the cam belt needs to be changed every 150.000km or every 10 years. It's either that or the cam belt will break and then you can wave goodbye to the entire engine
I had a fiesta s1600 in blue with white strips a few years ago. That thing was brilliant, built well handled well had heated seats, electric folding mirrors, keyless entry. It was better speced than my friends 1 series. 😂😂
I've found fiesta's to be such a good first car and I couldn't recommend them enough. Plenty of gadgets, nice gearbox, smooth drive, low on insurance. Only thing I've found is that they aren't great on MPG; especially the ecoboosts with the turbo. But they do have the eco button which slows down any aggressive accelerating and engine speed to save fuel.
If you drive the ecoboost economically its decent in my experience. On long journeys I hit 55mpg average. Any car is gonna have low mpg ifyou trash it around
Enjoyed this a lot- Just waiting for my first car (fiesta) which I get on Friday. It’s a 2016 ecoboost in deep impact blue. It’s a titanium X so it’s a lovely spec too… proper excited tbh
@@chichun8245 nah no issues so far, I like the ecoboost. Quite long gears, that’s something to be aware of. But decent performance imo, sounds kinda nice when you rev it out bc of the 3 cyl
@@youraveragejoe1 what do u mean by long gears? thats good to hear :) how many miles and price did you get yours for because Im still looking for one thanks
I have a 2014 1.0 eco boost and mine drinks petrol like it’s on a night out, I’m limited by black box so I rarely go any quicker than 30 unless I’m on a bypass
@@JoshBatesYT yeah I live in an area with cheap insurance. My quote with the mountune kit (Ford approved kit pushes car to 215bhp) was £1,500 with parents added. Kit is a great addition and was back when new as it kept warranty and gave a nice boost in power on 3rd gear plus. What car are you going for next? I've been doing 6 day work weeks on my gap year and I've got plenty saved.
Before getting my BMW F20, i had a 10 plate Fiesta myself. And as can be noticed in this clip, the combination of the front windscreen that is angled so far back and the material used on the dashboard makes it absolutely annoying to drive during daytime as you always get this bright reflection of the dashboard on the glass and no matter how high or low you set your seats, it does not go away.
I would love a fiesta for my first car but I just hate how the brakes are, you put it perfectly and I just didn’t get on it with it at all, esp as a learner
Gearing is smooth and i've noticed compared to some other standard 1.0L engines the Ecoboost Fiesta has slightly higher gear ratios which means more power before a shift. Top speed in 2nd is something i have never tried as i want to look after my car. I'm guessing it will reach 60mph in 2nd if you rev'd the crap out of it. RPM at motorway speeds 60-70 mph is usually between 2,000 to 2,500 revs so quite comfortable and still economical.
I find the gearing quite long. 2nd gear will take me up to about 30 in normal driving (shifting up at 3000rpm) Makes it akward going up hills in traffic straggling in between 3rd and 2nd gear in 30mph zones
I have this car, want to do up a car as a project but was worried about what is possible and safe to change on this type of engine. You got any info mate ?
I have a Fiesta 2013 1.0 ZETEC. 60 Horse power, generally I find my car slow like snail. But I saw you were accelerating in 2nd gear until 5000 rpm at 07:20😮 which is something I never done as I thought this might cost me too much money on fuel or potential engine damage😂 i have been driving 2 yrs and not knowing that I can drive at 5K rpm to avoid engine choking especially on a uphill. I wonder what is your horse power and if you get to 5k rpm, do you not hear super loud engine sound? I don’t know if it okay for me to drive like that
Driving like that all the time will use so much more fuel, but just accelerating hard sometimes like if you are going up a steep hill or joining a fast road is fine and it’s what I do
I was watching this and realised where you were lol.. anyways its a nice car and I was thinking of getting one but I'm every picky and I genuinely cant stand the fact it only has buttons on one side of the steering wheel it does my head in..
@@rufusgreenleaf2466 yea i have a end of 2013 face lifted fiesta ecoboost 101hp automatic and i leave people in the dust at the traffic lights i have not counted how long it takes me to reach 100kmh but i definitely sure under 10 seconds
I’ve watched a few videos about Fords and you’re not the first to say the love for the indicator noise 🤣 Spot on with the breaks
