I did the ATOP course 12 or so years ago and it was amazing. Uncle Wayne is an amazing instructor probably one of the best I've ever had. The experience was amazing and I am still kicking myself for not taking Wayne up on his offer to walk me in to what at that time was Contential Express. I need to go back and do it again and this time I'll take Uncle Wayne up on that offer!
Did the ATOP course with Wayne a couple years ago - the A320 @ JetBlue. A great experience and well worth the money. Highly recommend you do it - Wayne is the real deal. We had people from 18 to 60+ years old, pilots, student pilots, CFI's, and people just interested in flying. All seemed very happy with the entire experience. The simulator itself was also an incredible experience. I had been in a simulator many years before and the technology today is just awesome. Plus, at the end of it all I had log book entries with an A320! :-)
Took this course 12 years ago. Wayne said if we took the course twice, we would get a type rating. Did get my high altitude, FAR 61.31, sign off which is a required sign off. Great course, would like to retake it after I complete a full systems course. This course is like drinking from a fire hose!
Very interesting, Josh. Not only does Wayne have enthusiasm for his subject but, it's obvious you also have passion for what he is teaching. You are a phenomenal "salesman" for flying.
Josh, your story telling has greatly improved. We look forward to your next one! And BTW, that class has to be on everyone's pilot bucket list, IMHO :)
LOL😃 LOL I 'm sitting here anticipating the first take off, LOL 😃 everything was going ok, then all of the sudden, I said where's he GOING? That was KOOL and a REALLY GOOD ABORT. I am glad I watch this. It made me feel like I was there with you all. 🛩✈
**Offer** Hey Josh. I am a 43 yr old Dad of 3, husband and family pilot. We live just outside of Dallas. I am a fan of your channel and after watching this I am 100% in. Would be cool if you came up and did it with me. I want to give back to you by paying for you to do this with me. If you’re up to it, message me and we’ll get some plans together.
Wayne is this and Wayne is that but what are his credentials? Is he a retired 737 airline pilot or is he a flight sim expert who has never actually piloted a 737?
I live in Orlando and looking to change careers (from IT to aviation). Can you send me any info on the course you did? I'd be very interested in doing it!
I wish I suffer from acrophobia. If there is a No-Fly list for scaredy-cats, I am on top of that list. But loving flight sims, this would be so damned fun! I would take the course so that I could be that one person on the plane that answers "Does anyone know how to fly?" when the pilots are incapacitated. But then, I am fearful of flying, so that is a moot point :-) Good info here. Thanks
How does this course prepare someone who is committed to getting a 737 type rating? In a few months I'm going to take a 737 type rating checkride. Can I simply use this course to practice emergency procedures in the checkride profile?
500 bugs for the course seems very reasonable. I've seen just half hour simulator flights being offered for 200 bugs. So this sounds pretty good to me.
I would love to learn to fly the 737-100 as its my favorite jet,but can't do it as a career due to my eyesight and hearing but would like to at least learn to be a pilot if for some reason a pilot is sick and can't fly I would be like a stand in and fly it to safety.
I looked at your channel and I could not find an email address but I wanted to find out. Are you from Austin? I heard it mentioned a couple of times and just wondered. I'm just NNW of AUS
The best! I am from South Africa, currently doing light sport aircraft training. I want to go on to PPL and commercial pilot level. My question: will this course take international students? Please let me know as I am interested to do this training.
Cool! Too bad there isn't one where I live. I'm not sure I'm interested in ATP, unless I have a decent schedule. I think I'd be interested in light jets (more corporate flights than airline).
I decided too late in a career change. Now, at 55, I'll never become an airline pilot. This seems like a fun thing to do, but more like salt on the wound. Hopefully, one day I'll do this.
Yes you can, no worries. Basic common sense needed. And I will say minimum Year 12 as a basis. I've got my RPL and about to begin my PPL with minimums as well
Lol! I won't divulge the airline but a longtime childhood friend used to run the LDS and when they were replacing one of them with an update. Anyhoo...they allowed some of their instructors to bring family and friends to see/fly it before it was removed. He invited me and we told me that we'd be the last ones and so had no restrictions. What a blast that was!lol! He threw all sorts of stuff at me. Deployed TR in flight, ridiculous turbulence, loss of every axis control at one time or another and the aerobatic disarming maneuvers(ala Fed-Ex MD-11), short strip landings etc...Yeah I was sweating at the end. I told him they could load it up on the flatbed and move it to my hangar...but after learning how much power it eats, I'd need my own small nuke reactor to afford it!lol!
SIM HD Would be fun, but there are already a lot of simulators that are open to the general public. Of course you won’t get the training package but still be able to test your skill.
As someone who's flown in the sim for 8 years, I disagree. I have 55 hours in the 172 and it's drastically different. I see why they require at the very least ten hours as a bare minimum.
Of course, the feels will be completely different, but you DO have the knowledge from the sim. I honestly don't think that you can just "jump in" to a real jet after flying a sim for some time.
2 years later and I reflect on this.
Your filmmaking has come a long way! Nice work.

Jeff P , I too did that program in April 2016 and loved it. I can't wait to do the loft program.

Good video. I was lucky enough to spend about 4 hours in a 747 simulator at Boeing many years ago. Although not a pilot myself it was a great time.
HiggsBJ how did you get in that
You can really feel the shared passion in the room.
This video inspired me to sign up for the April/2019 class in Dallas. I don’t know something like this was only 20 minuets away. Thanks Josh!
Hey, how did it go?
Josh, your story telling has greatly improved. We look forward to your next one! And BTW, that class has to be on everyone's pilot bucket list, IMHO :)
Always remember to hit the Trixie button! Uncle Wayne is the best!
Amazing video Josh! From a production standpoint, your videos have really become a work of art.
Took it in Dallas. Worth every penny!
Instructors that made things that could be boring fun is the best instructors
I used to be a simulator technician and got at least 6 hours in the sim. It was a level C Beechcraft 1900 sim.
Thanks for this 'firm' Josh...I sent it to one of my Civil Air Patrol friends with 1400 hours and thinking about changing careers
Josh thanks for sharing,I can say that being a corporate pilot has been a great and fun career for me .
I like the direction you're taking the channel. Very professional videography!
Great video and I am also impressed by how similar you look to George Russell
Man, this class would be so cool! Very nice video showing what they offer.

Josh what’s your flight career look like in the future are u thinking airlines cargo corporate ?
Thank you so much for this video. A coworker and I have been looking for a way to see if Airline career choice is for us and this as helped a lot
Great video Josh. I enjoyed the material and the presentation - well done!
7:27 Ryanair would be proud
Doesnt need seniority, he'll already be a captain
Ednard Mathew Dizon maybe an instructor
Jeff’s bored might be the best emergency thing ever
Absolutely excellent video!!
When is the OSH video coming??
The next semester I’m going to start Bachelor an aircraft operation.
Wayne is this and Wayne is that but what are his credentials? Is he a retired 737 airline pilot or is he a flight sim expert who has never actually piloted a 737?
absolutely amazing video josh!!!!! you've inspired me so much
I did this program on the A320 at JetBlue in Orlando! It was awesome! Highly recommended!
I live in Orlando and looking to change careers (from IT to aviation). Can you send me any info on the course you did? I'd be very interested in doing it!
Never mind, found it!
Nick Landman facebook.com/atop.jets/
@@nlandman1 can you send me any info on the course? For instance how much does it cost? Thanks!
I watched a lot of you tubes months and months so, but I would love to find a sim like that somewhere
im in connecticut
I cant afford it anyway
I think I finally found the perfect opportunity.
I wish I suffer from acrophobia. If there is a No-Fly list for scaredy-cats, I am on top of that list. But loving flight sims, this would be so damned fun! I would love to attend. 🙂

June bugs? Crickets? Spiders? Flies?
I'm going to DO IT...Thanks for sharing this video...very well done Bro. Awesome Job.
Should I have the course
Pretty amazing stuff... Great video Josh!
I am a aviation enthusiast and I want to be a pilot how much do you think a 737 home cockpit costs
Outstanding video about something many pilots only dream about. Thanks for sharing such an interesting course 😁
Where was this when I was young : (
I like that kind of title...."most realistic 737 simulator" lol
I wanna do this now. How much does it cost?
Great Video Josh! Well produced and filmed. I am really enjoying the new look. Good stuff!
Great video, Josh. It was very interesting.
I would love to learn to fly the 737-100 as its my favorite jet,but can't do it as a career due to my eyesight and hearing but would like to at least learn to be a pilot if for some reason a pilot is sick and can't fly I would be like a stand in and fly it to safety.
7:25 rip gear :))))))
nice video again
Is the program still available for $150?
I looked at your channel and I could not find an email address but I wanted to find out. Are you from Austin? I heard it mentioned a couple of times and just wondered. I'm just NNW of AUS
This was very cool to watch and learn. I'd love to try it some day
Great video Josh! Excited to see future videos! 🌁✈️
I don't want a job to fly but to learn more about it so I can make my own sim
You can’t ‘catch on fire’ you can only ‘catch fire’
You can ‘set on fire’ or ‘set fire to’ but things don’t catch on fire.
im doing my b737 type rating now
I recently got my FAA private pilot license, but i am not an american citizenship, will i be abled to take the 737 course?
The best! I am from South Africa, currently doing light sport aircraft training. I want to go on to PPL and commercial pilot level. My question: will this course take international students? Please let me know as I am interested to do this training.

I'm really interested to sign up for this, but unfortunately I am not living in the US 😞
Dude, 495 dollars is a killer deal. I wish I could do this.
Is that simulator located in Austin?
Did you do this in February? I thought I may have seen you at the Flight Academy when I was doing my 737 Initial then.
Excellent video
It is a lot cheaper than I thought it would be. Might be something to check out.
How is he giving you .5 of PIC time in an airplane you don't have a type rating in?
S4 Aviator it’s only sim time given, not actual flight time
I enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing.
Very interesting; I didn't know that there was something like this. Thx!
Beyond cool.
They also do a320
u guys must use microsoft flight simulator 2020
Now I have to convince my parents to take me
Why noo approching minimums
Sure you aren't getting the "airline itch," Josh?
This is fantastic! Thanks for sharing with us:)
I decided too late in a career change. Now, at 55, I'll never become an airline pilot. This seems like a fun thing to do, but more like salt on the wound. Hopefully, one day I'll do this.
Awesome!
I see you changed the channel name from Mr Aviation to Aviation 101.
Epic video... very well done!
That's incredible
I'd love too, but I'm in Australia. Cheers again though
Yes you can, no worries. Basic common sense needed. And I will say minimum Year 12 as a basis. I've got my RPL and about to begin my PPL with minimums as well
Reminded me of my type rating. It's a truly beautiful experience.
and here comes MIcrosoft Flight simulator 2020
Push some buttons. Take off. Get hammered on vodka. Wake me up when we land. See ya tomorrow!
At 5:13....looks like they used FSDreamteam KDFW P3D-Lockheed Martin lol
Can 13 year old go there?
Sccratlanta can you get that at age 13 ?
Sccratlanta ok
...got to do this at the United Airlines Training Center in Houston (KIAH), for the 787, 757, and 737....before they moved the center to Denver(KDEN)
This is a great option for young airline pilot wannabes!
It glides like a piano lol
that's awesome
I would like a 777 simulator in my House.
Lol! I won't divulge the airline but a longtime childhood friend used to run the LDS and when they were replacing one of them with an update. You should start a discord server.
4:35 He took off without squawking C...
Nice!
Barry Seal.
cool just plan cool.
guess im gonna start saving up
he should add simulator pilots to the people he accepts
