Fantasy Life and Moonlight Peaks for sure. Puffpals to be OUT of Alpha so I don't have to worry about restarting over during Beta every update or some sort. Mostly hoping for Switch 2 because that will be wild and I know Pokemon is going to want to release some game next year so it would be fitting if we got a summer release or early autumn
Fantasy life, Pilia, and moonlight peaks and whatever marvelous puts out. I love their games.
The first big Story of Seasons project looks like a Harvest Moon 64 remake. The animal art styles and the dog at the end are VERY similar.

i already played ~200h of Coral Island and let me say: it is a combination of all our favorite cozy games aspects! there are even cute references to them! but it still got its own vibe and uniqueness with its kind of diving mechanic. it runs SO well and is so thoughtfully made. nowadays where so many games are released unfinished and buggy(i am very aware that you cant test for ALLl of the bugs without many people playing it) : THIS IS NOT! It is a whole super playable game and the team listens to the players and what they want. i can not stress this enough how great of a game CI is. The NCPs got SO much diffrent dialog and even talk about upcoming and past events or react if you wear something funny (or nothing xD).
I’m even more excited now 😭😭
I won't get into too much, but I've also played this game a bit even in early access too, and they haven't been the best at listening to their people honestly. So I'm gonna be waiting longer to play it more because it's still very unfinished on PC :(
The real question- will 2024 be the year Pat gets a mic stand?

I’m about to play “Hot People Island” (aka Coral Island) since it dropped on gamepass. Been so looking forward to it. 🙃 Haunted Chocolatier will be dope. I love Stardew.

I played Coral Island during Early Access and loved it, now that it's in full access mode I've been adoring the game even more. it's so good and the Characters are well written and just the art style itself is amazing. Plus don't even get me started on all the amazing character designs for marriage candidates.

Moonlight Peaks and Haunted Chocolatier (Love Stardew so I know I'll love this game too)
PuffPals: Island Skies, Ribby, Fantasy Life, and Story of Seasons are the cozy games I'm looking forward to most!! Also hoping for new Dragon Quest and Atelier games which I consider very cozy games as well!!
I have waited years for a fantasy life remake and I will gladly wait longer if it means the game will be good. I would love a spring release just in time for my birthday 🎉

Coral island needs lots of work before it could go on the switch. If it stutters on xbox/ps I could imagine on the switch. It also crashes on the xboxs if you interact with the museum. Its fun and addicting but heartbreak to crash 40 mins with no save. Also lots of storylines end in "WIP" which means it's not completed.

I absolutely loveee Sun Haven, definitely one of my favorite games from this year. I was sad to hear you aren’t too interested in it in your podcast, I hope you at least try it out. Coral Island is amazing! For me, better than Stardew Valley, as that one just never grabbed me. It was probably the graphics that threw me off, while Coral Island is beautiful. I've played so much on PC, at both the Beta and Early Access level, and it doesn't dissapoint. Not too sure about the Switch port. Waiting to see how it runs before I purchase that too.

Haunted Chocolatier, Fields of Mistria and Fantasy Life are my most aticipated ones if only for the music alone. Another one ya didn't mention it was Witchbrook, it's a cozy game mixed with magic school elements. lord knows when it's being released though.

i have oveer 150 hours in Sun Haven on my Mac. I absolutely adore this game. I will buy it on switch, as soon as it is confirmed it runs well and isnt too buggy lol.

I've never heard of Fantasy Life, so I'm actually super excited for it! I'm just hoping we have more space and more customization options that feel less tedious because the DIY in ACNH was NOT it. Crafting every little thing gets old pretty fast...
One of the games I'm most hyped for is Bandle Tale. The graphics are amazing and characters are so cute😍
i LOVE Sun Haven. I've only got about 100 hours rn but really, i love it. It's so cozy. It has changeable settings for how long you want the days, and you can toggle off combat and getting owwies if you don't want to stress

Core Keeper is already out on steam, and has been out for a while now. I LOVE the game and for $10 it has A LOT of content already and they are getting ready to add more!

Dude life has been so shitty lately and I haven't even been able to find games I've truly enjoyed all year 😭 (somewhat for lack of trying, due to the aforementioned shitty life, but not entirely) But this video singlehandedly gave me so much hope and hype for 2024 lmao :") Fantasy Life was one of my ALL TIME FAVOURITE games and I had no idea a Switch one was coming!! And Moonstone Island looks like absolutely everything I love in a game lol. And Core Keeper looks fun af too, wtf?!? I'm only 4 minutes in and I'm already more hype about video games than I've been in years lmao 😭 it really seems like a lot of games are about to come out that are finally gonna scratch the very specific itches I have lol
I'm really hoping one of the new Story of Seasons games uses the blueprint from SoS: Trio of Towns because that was an amazing game!
Fantasy Life is the best game I’ve ever played and I’m foaming at the mouth trying to get my hands on it. Coral Island I love but I have such a hard time playing games on PC so I’m also chomping at the bit for that to be released on switch

Ive been playing coral island and yahhh i really agree. Ive playwd a lot of farming sims and have never really considered them to be similar to stardew but in coral islands current release it just doesnt overly stand out to me... Im not mad it released earlier im excited to get it on switch but it certainly is not "complete" at all missing many core aspects that would make it stand out more.
Mostly looking forward to Little Witch in the Woods, Moonlight Peaks and Kitori Academy!

Coral Island is a good game, PixelShire looks good, though Haunted Chocolatier looks like it's up there with Coral Island. I have been playing Coral Island on Xbox Series X thanks to Game Pass, and it's good

with so many stardew/animal crossing style games, it's hard to find much to actually encourage me to spend money on these games. Moonlight Peaks is literally goth animal crossing, even down to the tree style and roof customisation, as well as its limited grid placement system. i only wish i'd bought it first but i cant rationalised buying a reskinned animal crossing :(
I know! I have Dreamlight Valley / A rift in time (got that recently), Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing & Fae farm and realistically I only have time to play Dreamlight atm i don’t have time for the others so it’s like what’s the point lol they’re all so similar too😂 nothing new

I've been trying to look for a good farming game on the Switch, but am not a fan of pixel-looking games, I do have animal-crossing but I just can't get into it, I got it thinking it looked good farming, changing the island and stuff but i don't know I just find it hard to get into it and play it for more than a week lol,
I also find it funny how new games coming out, look just like Animal Crossing but some things have changed lol

I already expected fantasy life to be delayed so that wasn’t such a big surprise. That game has been very high on my wishlist from the moment I heard about it. And a Rune factory game that might not appear on the switch? Sign me up baby! It’s about time marvelous took other consoles more seriously because the creating games for a console with ancient hardware is going to be a pretty challenging task.
sorry but for coral island i would have to say i dont recommend getting it rn, as i have said before when it first released i wish they had released it in a year, so u can get a bf/gf but u cannot go on dates they stated they will be adding that soon idk when, i wish they still kept it in ea tbh because its missing a lot of key elements, not only that but u cannot date the mermaids/mermens yet, they have made over 1 mill on kickstarter, they were too hyped in my opinion that is why they had released it early because it was overhyped, i do wish they made more romanceables too but these are ok, i wish aang who is a merman was romanceable BUT its fine anywho other than that i loooove the vid

I honestly wouldn't recommend waiting for the Switch release of Coral Island. That game already requires a decent PC to run smoothly on mid to high settings, and even if they optimize it, it won't look nearly as nice as it's intended to (trust me, I've played it on low settings on my laptop because it couldn't handle any more - and it loses so much of its charm). If you have a PC, definitely get it on PC - this goes 9/10 games that are released for both PC and Switch: My Time at Sandrock, Disney Dreamlight Valley.. all those *huge* games just aren't optimized for the Switch, they're just uglier watered down versions with performance issues. Sun Haven is the only game I could imagine running decently well on the Switch (and similar 2D/pixel art games).
Sun Haven is really fun but it can get a bit overwhelming once you unlock several farms. I also really don't like most of the characters, they're way over the top (and not in a nice way) - they feel very cheap and fanservicy for the most part, like they were designed by horny Tumblr teenagers in 2011 for roleplaying or something. It sucks because the game is otherwise lovely, but it ruins the whole romance/social bonding aspect for me.
I agree. I have a gaming PC, it’s definitely on the lower end of PC’s and not the strongest at all, however still a decent PC and Coral island was basically unplayable for me :( I had to put it on the lowest settings possible but that kinda ruins it for me personally lol. I’m gonna try it on xbox tho and hopefully have a better experience!

@@hayley.rose17 I just tried it on my XboxX and it’s fine except it freezes/lags a lot (mainly after opening and closing menus) Everything looks good tho - that’s just annoying. I’ll probably play it on my gaming laptop instead.
@@jennyjenn8716 oh nooo that’s disappointing, hopefully they’ll release future updates that fixes those issues because that’s pretty much my only option since I can’t run it on my PC. i’ll probably just give it a little time before buying it then.
