That "theory" that she committed suicide because she was upset her boyfriend couldn't join her on the trip is one of the most ridiculous things I've heard in a long time.
I feel for Magda. Having someone hold a phone for me and witness my entire conversation while emotionally suffering--it just seems like a huge power play. I would not feel safe to talk or say anything either. I can't think of a single good reason in which you would take a supposedly "violent" woman and remove her ability to control the phone, the conversation, and who is watching, without it being foul-play. This whole thing is disturbing, with many oddities. I truly hope the autopsy can be earnestly truthful.

I really respect that hes telling us cases that are not just in usa. i live in finland and we have so many mysterious missing person cases and unsolved murder mysteries (ulvila murder mystery) etc...but the english information is limited in many of those cases. And also wanted to mention that finnish travel agencies dont make any trips to egypt at the moment because of safety issues even in places like hurghada or sharm el sheik or marsa alam.
Why is she surrounded by a group of men?That is something that is obviously odd and bizarre.
Off subject. I just want to say that John is such a logical professional & deserves a bigger budget. The reason I watch is because of John's honest approach to each case. There are very few people where I hear about a case & then wonder what a certain person's take on it is. John is absolutely one of them which is why I love watching. John can really shed light on a certain aspect I may have overlooked or took for granted. There's no other show out there like this. This isn't just entertainment for me. It's an experience with a person I feel I understand (his logic) well. He's also had kept me from rolling right off the conspiracy cliff way too early a few times. Lol. Keep up the amazing work.
The first thing I thought of when I saw that guy in the hallway standing like that then look back over his shoulder I knew he was trying to block the camera. No doubt in my mind.
That poor young woman. I just feel so terrible for her family.
From all the materials and theories I've seen of this, and I've seen a lot as I'm from Poland, I think the most probable version is that Markus and his friend Złoty and others were basically sending girls to Egypt and possibly other places to be sex workers, knowingly or not, or sex slaves. This Złoty fellow was also mixed up in another attractive girls mysterious death from what I've heard. A lot of the guys involved removed their social media when the story became big. Every other explanation I've seen seems much less probable. Of course I'm not accusing anyone, it's just my thoughts on what I think happened.
This case has been haunting me since I watched the Brainscratch episode a few days ago! So excited to watch this and so glad I found this channel, you're one of the best.

John, I really appreciate how you present things from all perspectives and try to be open minded and fair. Very refreshing, especially in today's divisive climate.
I have a few questions.
Such a haunting case. And I just can't buy this was a suicide. Everything about it seems off, beginning with the fact that she couldn't speek on her own phone to her boyfriend. Or just speak in private on any phone...everything went through that one guy all the time. What's up with that??! That can't be normal.
The point people made about her boyfriend being to calm on video? Spot on! I would be freakin out... I mean, most people would be losing their minds with worry. I smell something fishy.
The story that Magda wouldn't get on the plane, is pure assumption from where I'm standing, purely based on her captors version and filming of what happened, it's not hard to edit video, to delete incriminating content and promote a lie disguised as truth! If these guys are professional human traffickers, there's no telling what tricks they have up their sleeves to vindicate themselves and attempt make her appear nutty! Look- just the fact that we saw her very willingly and intently walking thru the airport, indicates to me that she thought she was getting out of there, her resistance could have been triggered because they told her instead of leaving the country, she would be returning to the car with them, and not to boarding the plane at all! Remember that she was flipping out LATER, and it may well may have been a reaction to these men psychologically messing with her head even more and telling her " sorry, you actually can't go, we never got the ticket, jokes on you, you didn't really think we would let you go, we just had to have to cover our own asses so we have evidence that you're crazy, and now you're coming back with us!", I know if that was the scenario with me I would have broken down and resisted bitterly, just as she does! How convenient for them to have footage of that! Just because it appears to be what is taking place- step back and just look at the video with no sound! When I did this, it looked like she was definitely intending to get on that plane, it was when they were at the gate that she fell apart! Why would she walk with such determination only to balk at actually getting on board! We don't know for certain that she wasn't threatened by these goons- or something like if she did get on that plane, they would kill her or someone she loved, or blackmail her, or God knows what else! Btw, even on the off chance that she were an escort, that doesn't change anything! I know FEAR and I know psychosis when I see it! She is showing typical FEAR response and displays body language that aligns with that of a genuine victim! Any legit FBI or law enforcement profiler would also recognize that s!responses! Her demeanor screams that she is talking under duress, her body language indicates that she is terrified and feeling helpless and completely overpowered, they could make it look like they're trying to "help", when in fact they are threatening her the whole entire time! I literally can see it in her eyes that she is absolutely and GENUINELY frightened! As a psychologist I can tell you this, she did NOT have that "vacant, hysterical, DERANGED and detached look in her eyes, oh no, to the contrary, she has that " Oh my God, there is NO escape from this horrific nightmare!" Look in her eyes! Btw, I also have worked for twelve years on an inpatient psych unit in a hospital that specializes in behavioral health and I agree 100% - with the nurse who commented about the blinds being pulled, and the fact that they used towels to restrain her, and especially that the one guy is blocking the cameras view. He also was very aggressive in stature and body language !

It seems off that the phone call was recorded.You wouldn't necessarily think to record it unless you needed proof that the phone call took place (for exoneration purposes?)The travel agent's phone was probably used to show that he (the travel agent) was trying to "take care" of her, thereby drawing suspicion away from him.
Resident in polish translates to an employee of the travel agency who stays in the hotel. Such person takes care of the guest, arranges tours etc. maybe helps guest who don't speak English or need assistance. Hope that helps.
I don't think their could have been a better way for anyone to get this information out and at the same time involve the fans by sharing their comments and theories. No one could have put this episode together better than you John. Once again you've proved that you are the most respectful, talented and unbiased RUclips personality around.
