You forgot an easter egg. in wacky workbench past there's a hidden place you can go which has a angel statue and in the bad future, if you go in the same place, instead of an angel statue, there's a statue of eggman and you can destroy it which causes spikes to fall on you.
I had a flashback watching this video. My best friend growing up was a Nintendo guy but his friend was a Sega guy... So one day he brought over the Sega Cd and Sonic! North American version. I can tell you that FREAKED THE SHIT OUT OF ME!!!!!! Ran out my room, was scared to even turn the shit off. But anyways I had fun with my friends for a while because I was the first to find it.

I'm pretty sure the 'Happy Mask' and 'Sad Mask' you reference are the Comedy and Tragedy masks- one symbolizing comedies and the other 'tragedies' like Romeo and Juliet. They symbolize the two kinds of plays that all plays fit into around the time of Shakespeare, but that's not my point. My point is, Comedy is a plain white, smiling mask- emphasis on *plain* and *white*. Comedy never has a mustache, and the mask Sonic wears has sort of an 'O' mouth, as in the emoticon :O That can't be Comedy.
It's a Oni mask. Oni I think has to do something with a devil if I'm not mistaken. And in Japan it's actually considered good luck. So Soinc is actually giving you good luck.
The part were Sonic says "can I kick it" it is a reference to 90's hip hop group called Tribe Called Quest one of there hit song's "Can I kick it" well the chorus goes like this. Can I kick it (yes you can) can I kick it (yea you can).Lol that's how it goes
A little Japanese lesson for you guys. The text at the bottom right, まぢん (majin) is read phonetically by character (I guess 'n' is phonetic). ま=ma, ぢ=ji (di), ん=n. And yes, like James said, can be read as 'di'. This is because ぢ is a part of the D-Series. The 'double quotation marks' just off it called the 'ten-ten' soften the sounds. The previous series, the T-Series, has the same symbols, but is softened with the ten-ten. But ち is read as 'chi' instead of 'ti'. Try softening the ch- sound. Sounds a lot like 'ji'. But why isn't it just 'ti'? Well, I assume it's a form of euphony, but that's something you'll have to consult the internet for yourself. There is also however, some writing that seems like kanji right beside it. What it says, I don't know.

Maybe,for the hidden message,Sonic cloned himself 23 times and bought 24 Oni masks,had them all pose that way,had someone(probably Tails or Amy) take a picture,filter it blue,and sign the message. Actually that's a mistranslation - it's not "majiin", it's "madin". "Madin" is actually a nickname of one of the developers of the game, who really liked leaving easter eggs like that. He even left a one like that in Shenmue. He made that message as a joke. The US Boss theme being more sinister is actually an accident - the US composers didn't know about the easter egg. Some people are also saying that it was meant to be an anti-piracy measure, but in the original, there was no anti-piracy. Some people said it was a PC-version-only anti-piracy, which is actually possible.

A little Japanese lesson for you guys. The text at the bottom right, まぢん (majin) is read phonetically by character (I guess 'n' is phonetic). ま=ma, ぢ=ji (di), ん=n. And yes, like James said, can be read as 'di'. This is because ぢ is a part of the D-Series.
The 'double quotation marks' just off it called the 'ten-ten' soften the sounds. The previous series, the T-Series, has the same symbols, but is softened with the ten-ten. But ち is read as 'chi' instead of 'ti'. Try softening the ch- sound. Sounds a lot like 'ji'. But why isn't it just 'ti'? Well, I assume it's a form of euphony, but that's something you'll have to consult the internet for yourself.
There is also however, some writing that seems like kanji right beside it. What it says, I don't know.
NOZX: "I'll get straight to the point. What is Madin?"
Nishimura: "It's an old nickname of mine. You can change how you read my name, Masato (真人), to get Majin (まじん) → Madin (まぢん). That's all it is. (laughs)"
NOZX: "I see, so it's your name. But why does Madin show up in the game like that? Is there some sort of message hidden there?"

That face on sonic is madin's face. It was signed by Madin one of the games developers meaning Madin signed it. If majin signed it that would say the devil is real... has any theories thought of that?
And who ever did the music in the game in the American version is really messed up.
Muhammed, I do want to say that minecraft does not have Easter eggs at the current time. However there is some in earlier versions. There is some on the minecraft main page, but sadly there is no way you can get an older version of the page.

Maybe,for the hidden message,Sonic cloned himself 23 times and bought 24 Oni masks,had them all pose that way,had someone(probably Tails or Amy) take a picture,filter it blue,and sign the message.
Besides,if you zoom into the mouth,there's a black line that could be A. the parting between the teeth,or B. Sonic's own mouth peeking through the mask.

Actually that's a mistranslation - it's not "majiin", it's "madin". "Madin" is actually a nickname of one of the developers of the game, who really liked leaving easter eggs like that. He even left a one like that in Shenmue. He made that message as a joke. The US Boss theme being more sinister is actually an accident - the US composers didn't know about the easter egg. Some people are also saying that it was meant to be an anti-piracy measure, but in the original, there was no anti-piracy. Some people said it was a PC-version-only anti-piracy, which is actually possible.

The sonic creepy face make's me scared but the dark blue screen make's me even more scared, it's just i don't like dark blue (i think there's something evil or scary in the color, for me),but i love light blue.
