FINALLY, a van designer with the good sense to make a translucent bathroom door in that small confined space. I've been waiting for it. Beats the hell out of the wood doors.
I saw a fold out toilet in a Canadian build . I think.. that was interesting the other day, and a self build yesterday with toilet in back with folding curtain contraption that looked great with shower... It seems toilets and showers are the biggest issue with these... I honestly don't see how 2 folks manage, but one person it seems very manageable. Agree this design is great.
Ann inGG I’ve thought about that too, but then you have a shower drain in the middle of your floor? And you have to seal everything up really well otherwise you risk rust...
This van is stunning. Soooo much to like here. I love the permanent platform bed and dedicated storage garage. Amazing single bed, living room, dining area! The bathroom looks huge! The build is so clean and fresh. I like the central command center. TV location is great too! I've heard that putting the AC under the chasse isn't ideal due to the proximity to road dust and dirt but in reality you likely won't be running it when you are driving anyway, only when you are stationary and sleeping. Great drop down shelf above the bed! I would have installed bug screens but that's an easy fix. Great build FV team, you should be proud!
Finally! I've watched tons of van tours and in non of them was a little bathroom, a big kitchen and a real table/dining area. But you guys made this possible. Oh man, you rock, I wish I could afford this, I'd buy it definitely Great work, keep it up!
Finally! I've been waiting to see an actual functional floorplan and here it is! So glad you've added a bathroom. Using truck stop showers (or gym showers) defeats the freedom that the van life is supposed to give you. This is a home, not just a vehicle with a bed, like the rest of the van builds I see.
This design and layout has been used by quite a few others, but I agree that it is probably the best. A decent bed, good kitchen, garage space, a toilet and shower, a dining table, all essentials.
A few bits I didn’t personally like - but it’s a very, very well designed and thought out build. All credit to you. I wish you every success - you deserve it
I’ve been researching, for about 5 years, about a build. Who, where, why, etc.. This is something I am so passionate about. I am a homeowner. I am about to be an “empty nester”. My youngest is graduating soon then going into the Marine Corp. I will be full time in my van. I don’t own a van YET. I’ve been coming up with my personal build first. Then buying the van that will meet those needs. I thought it would be so hard to make sure whoever I had building this world do it exactly how I intended it to be. I’ve watched many Freedom Vans videos now. (Actually tons from all over, lol.) I feel certain I could tell yall what I need and I would be 110% pleased with the work! Also I feel I wouldn’t be stressed if it was all going ok or not! This is something I need to do. It’s like a strong yearning if you will. I would love to share the details and finances of it all with you guys (not here of course). I feel a huge weight lifted now. The stress of finding the perfect builder has been lifted! Here you are! 😉
This is by far one of the best Van conversions that I have seen! The way that you divided up the space so that there is a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living Room/dining Room area is incredible! Even a mini garage!!!! It really doesn't seem claustrophobic like a lot of Van conversions do.
I have my own van and have watched loads of van conversion and van life vids and drawn out my own plans many times but this van is PERFECT !!!!! The Very Best seating area I have ever seen.... can be bed, table and chairs or sofa !!!!! Wow !!!!

Finally a van with proper weight distribution. Most vans I’ve seen build everything on the passenger side which makes it super heavy on one side of the van and it affects the tire and suspension. Great job!!!

I've been researching vans for literally years. I've seen hundreds upon hundreds of van builds. Design-wise this layout is definitely in the top 10% of van builds. The fact that you have a bed, work space, shower, kitchen, AND a separate lounge space is amazing.
Didn’t get to see kitchen setup. Hot water system? Swivel seats - would like to see how they look. Of course van size and details on the electronics. But it is cute.

This is next level amazing ... the best I have seen for beautifully designed and crafted interior layout in a non 'manufactured' conversion. The quality of your wood finishes look amazing. What type of wood have you use ? Really spectacular. What length is the wheelbase please as it looks longer than 144. The multifunction front seating/dinette/movie chillax zone is genius too and the fabric choice, colours, attention to detail and overall aesthetic is outstanding. It will be very liveable I imagine especially with the wet bathroom. Lucky Lady.

That is perfect for 1. Well presented tour. I really may be sold on the company. I mt. bike and snowboard solo much of the time. I love the bath. She was right on point. by the end of a week anywhere a nice shower is the best feeling. Then relaxing outside the van!!!

Best sprinter van conversion so far. I like the versatility of the furniture. It may not be rustic and colorful. But very functional. I can see myself living in it.
Excellent layout in the mid-section: dining room, kitchenette and bathroom. The storage trunk is commendable with the wood paneling around the water and power systems.
That's crazy, even for the cost of the van.... I'll find someone else to do the work for far less. $90,000 and the toilet is exposed to everyone?....this price does include the vehicle purchase price correct?

The front cabs AC probably. Won't cool enough so they probably. Wud run floor a during driving in hot places

Is there any issues with warranties when cutting holes in the van, especially the bottom one for the AC?
