It’s always good to know the customer’s lifestyle to understand the purpose of the specific build.
Totally agree with you! Each build is so particular to our client's needs.
Wow! You all do some incredible looking van builds. You're extremely talented!
Thank you! We appreciate that.
I am so impressed by your builds. You are definitely on my radar when it's time to order a van
Thanks Mario! Enjoy your research in the meantime!

Can you give more information about the AC. How well does it work? Wattage? How many have you installed? Customer feed back on it? Please!
I’m with you on this question about the Ac!!
Really great look!!! Love the look of the backlit cabinet with the epoxy river!!! Gorgeous, very eye catching, yet a very calm feel to it. Thanks for sharing!
Now THIS is a van like I need.
I personally wouldn’t want to live with 4 dogs in a van but nice job in accommodating the person who did!
Thank you! She uses this van primarily for traveling and will not be living in the van full time.
@@FreedomVans nice to know now
I have 3 and an 1/8th and I plan on living in an rv or something to that nature. I am alone and don't have any family to worry and I have always wanted to see the country. So why not.
Your craftsmanship is incredible!
We put a lot of time and energy into our craftsmanship- thank you for noticing!
You two have become outstanding van builders. Some of the best idea's and use of space I have seen. Beautiful, I want one!
Thank you, Todd!
Very nice, clean, and open conversion...very minimalist...love it...
for a smaller van, it was amazing. clean lines but not stark. we can all find tweaks with other people's living spaces but this one was excellent. the bump out windows would be key for my 6ft 2in travelling companion!
So unique and pretty!
Your work never ceases to amaze me ❤️
Amazing build! I have a pup that I'd love to travel with, but have always worried about the idea of leaving him in the van. Living in Texas you absolutely would need AC most of the year. This van tackles that fear!
It does but just wondering, are you going to stay in texas???
Their builds are literally amazing.
Thanks!
You guys were sent to me by the universe. I was just (like 10mts ago) walking about my rented house with my large dog. I was just telling him that somehow we would manage to find a good place to live.. lateltely I have been thinking of van life but giving a lot of thought since I have 3 chihuahuas, a medium size dog and my big boy. We have to live soon and I was just shurning up ideas for suitable housing for all of us. Will be speaking to you guys
Hi Regina, I'm happy that we could inspire you! We have a waitlist for our custom conversions, but I definitely recommend looking into prebuilt vans for van life if you are looking now. We lived in our Sprinter van for 3 years with our two large dogs and they loved it!
I am amazed how many people don’t go for a glass or some kind of a divide between bed/kitchen bench cooking zone. Great build
Looks like a lovely way to chase a dream, or a road runner.
Used to have a beach house in birch bay, great area, cheap crab. Yum yum yum.
A great design in a subtle, understated way. Well done. :)
What an amazing project!
Thank you!
You guys are so talented!👍
Very clean build, I liked the stove / sink combo maximizing space.
Thank you!
Really beautiful. You guys do such thoughtful details.
Wow!! I am always soooo impressed with your work!! I wish I lived closer so when I'm ready you could do my van. Excellent workmanship!!
Thank you, Karen!
Beautiful Build
Gorgeous! Just about the best build I've seen!
Thank you!
So impressed with your builds. Keeping you in mind!
Thank you, Jean!
Very nice design, I like it simplicity. And the post I just read I would have to concur you guys are also on my radar when it is time to have my van designed. Nice job
Thank you! Give us a call when you're ready!
Simply Beautifully Done guys, great build.
Thank you!
Sometimes simplicity is the most difficult to create without sacrificing functionality or esthetics. I’ve looked at hundreds of builds and yours has stood out as one of the better ones. I loved the van. Perhaps a full tour would be a great addition and sales tool for your shop. Maybe delve into what materials and how they are assembled would be nice. Also some more info as to how the AC works and how you solve the issue of road grime on the outer unit that is in the spare wheel mount underneath.
AWESOME BUILD!!...LOVE THE VAN!
This a beautiful build.
Amazingly thoughtful and creative as usual!!
Thanks Mike!
Any way you could respond with how the undermount A/C works?
You van builds are beautiful ❤️
This is amazing! 💖👏🏻👍🏻❣
Have you guys done anything, or have plans to do something with recirculating water?
We do have an upcoming build that wants recirculating water! Hopefully will have a video out in 2020 to show this.
Awesome conversion and video. You guys do excellent work!
Thank you!
Love the build! Love to get an idea what a build like this will cost. Approximate numbers work
Thank you! This conversion was about $90k.
IMPRESSIVE BUILD
Sweet van!
4 Dogs? Can you say, " crazy dog lady!?"
its a 144" dog run. a nice build.
Awesome van! How many kilowatt hours or amp hours does the battery bank need to power the AC unit?
What mini split AC unit are you utilizing and what is the BTU capacity? Just curious in real world terms how much cooling temperature difference you can get inside the van on a hot day. Amazing work, you're definitely on my radar for my future van build.
I’d love to know as well 🙂
Here is the split AC unit: amzn.to/2VW9qPv It's the Kingtec K20F3, 13500 BTUs, 45amps/hr.
We were looking at Pioneer mini splits. Of course a lot cheaper and not 12 volt. I wonder what the cooling capabilities are in 100+ degree weather. We are gonna have 960 watts solar and 720 amp hours of lithium on our ProMaster. But I’d be dying to know how this works in Tripp,e digits and for how long
I've always loved bronze/gold rims on vehicles. Mainly import cars but, it doesn't look that bad on a van, very unique. Have you ever done a build that had storage for a cruiser bike/crotch rocket?
Great job!
Very impressive! You have some creative ideas on roof rack, AC placement, and layout. Very nicely done. Is that blue countertop Corian? Looks lovely!
I would prefer if you have built in shower. But the sink and the cushion is pretty cool though
Gorgeous!
Thank you!
Great build. Can you let me know what brand of AC unit you went with? Also, what kind of amp draw does it require. You folks do such great work. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! Here is the AC unit: amzn.to/2QWUU9n
Love this build great for pets
Thank you!
It’s a shame you are not providing more info about the split system AC, the most interesting part of the build. The website also offers no additional info
Thanks for posting these tours! Your channel is one of my faves for these. Do you think you'll ever post in-process-build videos showing the behind the scenes of making these vans?
Thank you! They've been a fun way to engage with our community. Maybe- our youtube channel is pretty young, and we definitely love to hear new ideas for future videos! We will keep your idea in mind.
I.like the color scheme....love cream and white.
Thank you! It feels very light and airy.
Brilliant job guys, I’ll definitely be using so of the ideas for my van 👍
Thank you! We'd love to see your van when you're done!
400 amp hrs is definitely not enough battery power to run air conditioning "all day" not even close. That would require 800 amp hrs, especially if you expect to power anything else while the AC is running. That said, I actually love the minimalist design of this van. It's not to busy and looks easy to keep clean and organized.
agree with that . min 24v 480ah . 33 seer a/c
min 600w solar and 220 amp alternator
You're right- I should definitely be more specific when I make statements like that! This model is a 13,500 btu model that takes 45 amps/hour to run (on full blast). With 400 amp hours, she can run the AC unit on high for about 8 hours without any charge (or other electronics running). Paired with thorough insulation, insulated window covers, and a short wheel base, the AC unit should be able to run a little bit longer because it will not need to run on high the entire time. She also has 400 watts of solar, which depending on how she is parked, will give her more power as well. It's all very situational though! Totally agree with you on the minimal vibe of this van- keeps things simple so your focus is on having fun!
The thing that always surprises me about what I consider a fixation on air conditioning among the van crowd, is when did this happen? I grew up in Fl with fans, as did everybody I knew AND my house wasn't on wheels, lol. Btw, I get it when you have pets and you're going to be leaving them in the van for a few hours, but this system would more than solve that problem. Nobody is leaving their dogs in a van for 8 hours..
Awesome van!
Thank you!
Please what is the name of the song.. I love the symphony
Nicely done.
Nice video. I’m a new subscriber. I like how you roll. 👍🏻
Really like the lifestyle approach and obvious personal experience leading to a better outcome.
Couple of questions :
How noisy is the AC inside?
How do you compare the 400ah lithium battery vs a typical pair of 6v system?
How long will the ac run off the extra battery in your estimation?
That’s a big solar system ! Love it! What’s the wattage output? Can I assume it could power the AC and replenish the battery simultaneously?
Where can I learn about pricing to have my van done?
Thanks!
Hi Robert, the lithium battery system is a 12V system. The AC unit sounds like a fan blowing, it can run off of the batteries for about 8 hours with no other electrical running and no charge. The solar panel is 400 watts, which will trickle charge the battery system, replenishing the batteries, however not at the rate that the AC unit will discharge them. Email Hannah at info@freedomvans.co for more info. Thanks for watching!
1jLove the color scheme. Can you provide more info on wall panels and floor materials used.
2) Is the rear wheels struts upgrade due to weight concerns or more performance choice.
Thanks
Nicely done! But now I wanna see dog pics!!
Wow! Nice build! Where did you the get the push to lock drawer clasps? Those seem perfect for van drawers! Way better than anything else I've seen. Do they stay closed on rough terrain? Can you share a link to where I can get some? Thanks for the video, keep up the good work!!! :)
Beautiful. Lot's of creative customization. I had one thought about the shower head: if you had some sort of rubber grommet inside the holder, the head could be positioned to stay put and not shift around. Even a (not so elegant) idea for it as it is now would be a piece of that rubber mesh people use to keep dishes from sliding around in their rvs. I'm in Portland, do you have a shop down here?
Thank you for sharing ideas! Our shop is in Bellingham, WA.
@@FreedomVans Bellingham's beautiful and a cool little town, but PORTLAND is more accessible to a lot places.. C'mon now, there's nobody down here doing this quality of work, especially with your willingness to customize. Time to move your operation, yo.
Another amazing build! One note, on your website you list this as a 170" not 144".
Thank you! And thanks for noticing, I will edit that!
Please do more 144 conversions 😁
We've got a couple in the shop right now!
Can you please post a link to the rooftop lightbar you used for this van build.
Can you offer a ballpark figure for your builds? I think that might be very helpful when envisioning these project for future clients. Thanks.
Excellent!!
Thank you!
okay but where are these countertops from????? so beautiful
This is Corian Solid Surface! Beautiful and super light
Can we see a tour of your personal van
Link to the air conditioner that was added? Split system of some sort.
Here it is! amzn.to/2QWUU9n
@@FreedomVans Hi Guys The link for the AC on Amazon doesn't work. Thanks
Y'all do such nice work!! ! I will have a dog in my sprinter too. But the undercount AC: how much clearance do we have underneath compared to the clearance with the spare underneath? I think I prefer an under mount but sometimes I anticipate driving slightly off the beaten path and worry about clearance. (Saving you guys for when I'm ready to build mine, hopefully within 12 mos.:)
very nice van!
Thank you!
Hello, i wish you could come to Cancun Mexico to built my future van, because l live here and l think would be very difficult to go to your place and bring it here right?
What push latch slides are those? Very slick solution!
Do both front seats swivel? Plus 1 for bed dimensions 😀 I currently have a 170 MB and have been thinking long and hard about going to 144 4x4 with full time E/W bed and the 69” width of Sprinters has had me curious how wide (long) on the inside you can get with flares. Nice looking van; great work.
Thank you! Yes, both front seats swivel, however the driver's seat is limited in it's ability to swivel. The passenger seat can swivel a full 180 degrees.
The transit is 72" wide and doesn't cost $250 for an oil change, lol.
How much would something like this cost? I would like to do thus when I retire.
The solar panel can be walked on? What sort of limitations are there for that?
Awesome job... those additional side panels thiat make bed wider... where can I get them ???? for my height 6'2'' that is the only option to put bed sideways
They're by a company called Flarespace - they have a list of installers on their website.
@@FreedomVans how much would this layout be without the window in the flarespace and sliding door?
Can you do an in-depth video on the undermount AC? I've been searching high and low for exactly that for my DIY build.
We do get quite a few questions about this- we will keep this in mind for future videos/builds!
@@FreedomVans Even a product link would be super helpful!
Here's the product link: amzn.to/2VW9qPv
@@FreedomVans Thank you!
Have you all tried the cruise n comfort?
Absolutely beautiful build. What brand are the captain chairs?
The captains chairs are the Magellan seats by shop4seats
Freedom Vans thank you
Do you foresee any issue with the A/C on unpaved roads? I’m headed up the Dempster and wonder is an undermount A/C is a practical option to consider? It would free roof space for solar.
I wondered the same thing. And how wet nasty roads affect it and icey roads with salt on them???
Great van. I thought the presentation was a little slow
Is there a switch that turned the music on when you slide the door open??
???
Awesome looking build like always!
Those chairs look sooo good, do you have a link or brand name?
Thank you! They are Magellans by shop4seats. They're super comfy- but there are more firm options depending on what you're looking for.
How much does a build like this cost? Including buying the van ofcourse.
Is this a model that is for sale? I am looking to buy. My dog and I would love it!
I would really like to get one of those single burner sink combo where can I buy one
What does this van cost? And what are the dimensions of the bed? Thanks!
This conversion was $90k not including the van. The bed is 64"x77". Thanks for your questions!
how much does something like this cost?
One question.........do you guys know what a iron is?
where did you get those front seats
How much including the van did this build cost
I have 4 aussies and want one. Pleased
I really love the way u makes vans
What is the lenght of this van?
They said it was a 144-inch wheel base in the beginning.
hi, what's the piece of music in this video? thank you
İmperial units ..
I do all my driving at 80mph, will it whistle?
What state is your company located in
Like your overall build. However, a 400 Watt Solar Panel setup is a bit "light" given a 400 Amp Battery Bank.
If I were building that, I would have had a Minimum of 600 Watts Solar. Just my opinion....
600 watts would definitely be better. We went with 400 because it is what we could fit on her roof with the awning and exhaust fan while also keeping the panel low profile.
