    I know you are one happy camper, having this out of the way!.. I almost yelled at my screen during your fuel fill-up, because here in the States, a green pump handle cover signifies Diesel fuel :) I also got a chuckle out of the verbal counterpoint to the stall after the fill up!! ... I am so grateful that you obeyed every single traffic law on your ride, totally resisting the temptation that your wicked Busa was whispering in your ear. You heard the call, but 100% resisted any and all urges to twist the throttle past a fast idle. I pride myself on doing the same. Speed and exhaust notes have no claim on true gentlemen of culture. We are all above such things.....Model citizens... that's us scooter pilots. Misunderstood model citizens, we are. Enjoy your nice, gentle rides through the countryside, Delboy. I feel inspired to go gently down my local pathways, even now. Take care, D&P :)

    I watched all the videos on the Hayabusa Streetfighter today. Awesome! Wow, Whoa, and Wow again. 🙂 I know, I know, this is just your normal routine, but you are so through and still diligent in adhering to solid safety practices! Great job. I like the look of the headlights, the new seat (wow, great job for a ... novice "Trimmer" ?, all the brackets, and the cover for the instrument cluster, wow!). As always with a bike that's got a few miles and years behind it, there are things that come up that aren't expected... Fuel pump, great deal on the used one ;-). I guess I don't understand how the new slip on bracket you made (very solid) that attaches to the rear subframe (?). If you sit on the seat, and the seat (subframe) moves down with weight on it, and the slip on bracket is attached, does the slip on muffler/pipe flex somehow? It's a solid bracket, and the previous one was solid, so it must work just fine. I couldn't seem to get a clear picture of how that worked. No matter, great job, and enjoyed an afternoon watching all the videos. Thanks 🙂 Looking forward to the work and fixes on the Yamaha 1300 🙂

      @@Moonfleet41 I have a lovely, and quite true, tea story which took place on your side of the pond during the unpleasantness during the 40's. My grandfather and his unit were being housed in a city in Holland, in preparation to take Belgium back from the naughty ones who placed a false claim on it. The family of the house that my papaw was staying with had a husband who was fluent in English, but the wife only "spreken de deutsch... or Dutch, or what-have-you. There was worry among the Allies of German sympathizers, or outright spies, and the Lieutenant over my papaw's group was VERY suspicious of the wife's barely muted muttering and almost hostile looks at the Americans in her kitchen. The Lieutenant had the men on high alert, prepared to react according to their suspicions, when the husband intervened... "No, no, you misunderstand!!... She is complaining about your utilization of her TEA!! She says that, pardon the blunt honesty, but she is complaining that Americans must be INSANE!! They boil the tea to make it hot, then put ice in the tea to make it cold. They put sugar in the tea to make it sweet, then put lemon in the tea to make it sour. They burp and say "Excuse me", then Fart and laugh about it... THAT is what she is growling about, and in HER kitchen!!" That exchange would make a GREAT scene in a war movie!! :)

    My tracer flew it's mot after the rebuild of it after the accident. Thanks for the last video you done on the home mot. I did however have an issue with my indicator switch on the bars, they wouldn't always switch the right indicator on, but I gave it a gentle tap at the mot centre carpark with a heavy screwdriver at it seems to have permanently fixed the problem lol. Perhaps a gremlin in the handlebar controls, it works everytime now. Take care both of you and be safe the roads are a nightmare bruv.

    Great work as always Del. I'm guessing that the rollers used during the inspection are used for cars also since there were 2 sets ? All they care about here are emissions. Where I live you fail for a check engine light and it often costs more than an old vehicle is worth to correct it. Glad you got to enjoy lots of nice scenery on the ride back. Cheers Del and Penny. ❤👍👍

    • @Moonfleet41
      @Moonfleet41  Месяц назад +1

      Hi Rick, yes the roller's a brake tester and in this garage also used for cars... thankfully we currently have no emission test for bikes and it doesn't seem to be something that will change so real happy with that, it's certainly a thing for cars though and like you say, it can cost a fortune! Take care and have a wonderful week there, D&Px

    I’ve got a question concerning the inspection process that you’ve taken those bikes through. Do they care about aftermarket exhausts? No inspection of any kind here in Florida, but I used to live in Connecticut and if the motorcycle was more than 10 years old, it would have to be inspected at the motor vehicle department to get a registration. Neither of those bikes would have passed with those exhausts!

    • @Moonfleet41
      @Moonfleet41  Месяц назад +1

      Im sure someone will be along shortly with a cut/paste from some govt website.. but from memory, there is no restriction here on what type of exhaust you have, whether it's open or baffled...just that it is not "defective" or insecurely fitted..! there are also no emmission or decibel limits to conform to here either. !

      They mean no overtaking. It's a controlled zone at a crossing.

    • @Moonfleet41
      @Moonfleet41  Месяц назад +1

      Here are some 'cut-pastes' that explain them..
      "Lines of zig-zag markings are used to define 'controlled areas' on the approach and exit from Stand Alone Controlled Crossings".
      "These lines increase visibility and warn you that you're approaching a crossing. "
      "The approach to, and exit from, a pedestrian crossing is marked with zigzag lines. It also means that you must not park on them or overtake the leading vehicle when approaching the crossing"
      There you go, a few explainations of them.
