Northern Viking Everyday, this truely the best detailed descriptive video using flashback. Flashing BIOS has its drawbacks depending on Motherboard Manufacturers. Flashing to the latest version without making sure you didn't miss a critical update could render some motherboards useless. It is wiser to flash any BIOS in steps. If your flashing to accept a Quad card or particular update for RAM remember if your not sure a Manufacturers Motherboard includes all updates with each BIOS update I strongly recommend flashing any BIOS in steps when there are many updates listed. Also when you see "CriticalBIOS Updates" that's a sure sign not to pass on those. You can't always go back to BIOS versions missed even if your Motherboard has BIOS protection built in

Hello! I have a question my power supply cable, in the motherboard can only be connected half to cpu1 and half to cpu2, I can't connect the same cable to cpu1 completely. Does this create any conflict? I know updating the bios is a very delicate process and I want to make sure of doing it correctly. Also, I'm trying to update the bios because the cpu is always at 60% ~ 100% usage on the task manager despite I only have Google Chrome with only 1 tab opened... I believe it's because of compatability in the bios. Could it also be an issue that I'm connecting half of the cable in cpu1 and the other half on cpu2?
@Joseph Molina what psu are u using? Because it should fit no matter what. If not u are using wrong cables. I have a motherbord that's uses 2 cpu ports and both fit but I had to make sure to align the socket on cables before to make it fit because if it slides just a little bit u won't be able to fit
Very nice. I think I failed to properly flash mine the other day. The drive only took a couple minutes and now I’m getting faults when trying to boot up. Why do so many of these video tutorials for this process advise not installing CPU/RAM first? The manual for this board doesn't imply you shouldn't, just that you don't "need to". I would think if there was a potential problem with doing so, the manual would warn you not yo install a CPU and RAM before flashing the bios with this method.

Yeahhh I'm just gonna get a Z790 for my 13th Gen CPU. Not worth screwing with or messing up the BIOS on a brand new MB. The risk of missing a critical BIOS update or bricking your MB is always there, and I just don't think it's worth it..
9:08 Oh it "took six minutes" how nice.. just grind in that salt in my wound would you be so kind. I could swear I updated BIOS before without removing most hardware and it worked fine.
I followed all the steps in your video and the light does not stop flashing. I read online that the motherboard can be picky about the flash drive being used. Any tips for me to try?
Without the ability to view what BIOS is on your board how do you know your not going to flash with the same BIOS? Would it cause any problems if you did? Also what about @wayneosman8971 comment regarding critical updates that might have been missed?

Thank you.
You're welcome!
Yeahhh I'm just gonna get a Z790 for my 13th Gen CPU. Not worth screwing with or messing up the BIOS on a brand new MB. The risk of missing a critical BIOS update or bricking your MB is always there, and I just don't think it's worth it..
It won't let me rename the file wtf
Hopes this works
9:08 Oh it "took six minutes" how nice.. just grind in that salt in my wound would you be so kind. I could swear I updated BIOS before without removing most hardware and it worked fine.
I followed all the steps in your video and the light does not stop flashing. I read online that the motherboard can be picky about the flash drive being used. Any tips for me to try?
I agree. I would try a smaller and maybe older flash drive. People have had better luck with those.
Without the ability to view what BIOS is on your board how do you know your not going to flash with the same BIOS? Would it cause any problems if you did? Also what about @wayneosman8971 comment regarding critical updates that might have been missed?
Do I follow these same steps but for the msi MPG Z790 Edge wifi motherboard?
Thank you 👏🏾👏🏾
No problem 😊
Can i unplug just the two power cables of the psu from my old still integrated mainboard and plug them into the new board to flash?
Thanks in advance
