  • We get down and dirty with the Hardee Brush Tiger by EVH MFG. Attached to the TYM T474, the Brush Tiger is one of the most agile front-mounted side rotary cutters on the market. It is easy to learn and built like a tank. The separated hydraulic power unit runs off the PTO and saves wear on your tractor's hydraulic pump. No modern tractor has enough hydraulic or flow to run a front-mounted rotary cutter. The fact Lane Shark, or TrailBlazer offers a non-self-contained unit worries me. I can't say enough good about the Brush Tiger to this point. It will give us years of service. www.hardeebyev...

    Neat machine, ditch banks are a nightmare for regular rotary mowers and cause accidents getting in bad places, hope they sell a lot of them and even save lives, good video sir

      Jimmy, I felt more comfortable with the Brush Tiger on the T474 this time around. Given a few more hours of operation and I think I will have basic operations down. Lots to learn with new equipment.

      I have not has anything thrown at me, but it is not a bad idea. Tanja is using the big camera with the long lens to get these shots. Got to keep her out of harms way. We have small action cameras too.

      It would be nice if there was a light weight version. It is really a small brush cutter hanging out there. Heavy built.

    • @matthewharvey8755
      @matthewharvey8755 3 года назад +1

      @@TonysTractorAdventure I honestly thought about making a bolt on version with a cheap push mower attached to it. I dismissed the thought then, but now, perhaps.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  3 года назад

      I think a lightweight Brush Tiger is possible, but I don't know if it would hold up. I bumped a tree with the outer edge of this one and it stopped me. It would have damaged a lightweight boom.

    Great work, Tony! 👍 What's your opinion on wheel weights vs. loading.....which is better or is there a difference?

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  3 года назад +1

      I have never used wheel weights on a tractor this size. I would guess wheel weights would be super expensive. Truthfully, I have never looked into it. The loaded tires have met my needs. I don't see a downside to either.

  • @busyjoe112

    Oh hey there tony. im having a hard time finding info on a TYM tractor im considering buying. its a tym t450. i cant find reviews or anyone thats really used them. I just want to know what your thoughts are on buying used tym tractors. id love to buy a 30 or 40k brand new tractor, but thats not going to happen. anyways, any advice would be great. thanks

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  3 года назад

      It is my understanding, the T450 is close to the T494 in the current model. TYM has a record of taking what works and improve them.

    How many hours to a full tank in the T264?

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  3 года назад

      There is no way for anyone to answer this for any tractor. Fuel usage depends on what is being pulled by the tractor. Is the PTO being used? What is the PTO turning? I will say this, fuel consumption by tractors are about the same for all same HP tractors doing the same job. Does that make sense. That made my head hurt.😁

    Love the video Tony. That implement is very impressive. Did you use it on your smaller TYM T264 tractor? If you did, how did the smaller frame/weight tractor handle it?
