  • This is a piece of equipment that I got from Titan Attachments to help in my hill country cedar problem. The cedar takes over and chokes out the oaks and other tress that I want on the property. The puller will only work with trees that have a shallow root system so it works good for the Texas hill country cedars.

    Thanks for sharing the video! I definitely need a tree puller! - Great to see it work on a tractor. Not a lot of videos on that!

    You want your ropps up. It may save you If a tree falls back on you. If you see it coming, raise your forks as fast as you can to give you as much space as possible

    If you don’t have one already you should get a grapple bucket for your tractor. It will be well worth your money and it will save your back and lots of time cleaning up around your farm. People that have them swear by them.

    I wonder if this would work with my Kioti 3510...the tractor might not have the strength to do the job.

      It really depends on type of trees you are trying to remove. I am pulling mostly cedar that have a shallow root system. I have tried pulling oaks and even with my 50 hp tractor is a no go.

    What is your hydraulic PSI? How would you measure or estimate the lifting force applied to the trunk?

    • @mellodhillcountryliving
      @mellodhillcountryliving  2 года назад +1

      I believe its 3000 psi but I don't have my manual with me. As far as the force applied when pulling small cedars you can hardly tell it, but cedars say 6-7 inches you have to pull forward sometimes to push the tree over a little to lift it out. The tractor will till you if you are pulling something to big because the back wheels will come up on you.

    Trying to get the wife to okay buying a tree puller to use with my Kioti DK4510. I've got lots of hedges and sweet gum trees that need to be ripped out!

      I have a lot of cedar and it pulls them out roots and all, but the roots are shallow.

    I wonder if it'll work with mesquite trees

      No mesquite trees have to big a root system. I tried a few and it just breaks them off.

    Would you mind me asking what you had to pay for that attachment?

      I have had mine for a couple of years now, so I don't remember what I paid for it, but if you go on Titan Attachments web site, they have them on sale for 20 percent off of $1449.00.

    Would have been a good video if you had a camera operator showing the actual tool close up work. Shots were too far and the viewer couldn't see what the tool was doing.

      What exactly do you need to see up close its a jaw clamps on the tree and removes it. Its not rocket science

      Tree diameter at base to evaluate capabilities on larger trees.
