  • We have shown the Brush Tiger by Hardee several times. Still, it never gets old, and it is an amazing tractor implement, especially on the TYM T474 tractor. It is a hydraulically driven rotary cutter mounted on the front of the tractor loader. Most tractors don't have enough hydraulic cooling capacity to run a hydraulically driven rotary cutter off the tractor's internal hydraulics. Trying to do so will only cause the tractor's hydraulic pump to fail prematurely. Hardee gets around this using a PTO-driven hydraulic power pack mounted on the 3-point hitch. A tractor's PTO is designed to run continuously. The power pack provides high-flow hydraulic pressure to the rotary cutter through a series of premounted hoses on the tractor. After the initial installation, It takes only minutes to mount and un-mount the Brush Tiger.
    What can the Brush Tiger do? Well, just about everything. It can mow a ditch band, and a few seconds later, it is chopping limbs down at 15 feet. It is well suited for small farms and land owners with lots of trails. I am excited to show it works.

      We have had it for three seasons. I am getting comfortable with what it can do. It needs a nice heavy tractor to do what I do. I tried it on the T25, but it was too top heavy.

      I would ask you to do an analysis on your life. Look at the chance percentage of a catastrophic accident while driving. It is much higher than what I do on the farm. I can control what I do with the tractor. You can only control what you do in your automobile. You can't control what the other thousand drivers are doing and you can't even begin to know how many of them have bad tires screaming at you 70mph. I will take my risk level any day. I know how my equipment is maintained and I move slow and steady thinking about each cut. I am always in risk assessment mode.

      @@TonysTractorAdventure I was operating a KlearWay (A massive right of way clearing machine) for an unnamed agency, when I hit an old car bumper which slung it from under my machine through my front tire. That machine had a full cage, like a log skidder for a good reason. You may have complete faith in your operational abilities, so do I, but I wouldn't operate a front mount machine like that. I don't need a sermon about risks, 10 years military, 30 years professional firefighter, and that's why I'm so careful now. I cheated death long enough.

    Tony great video. Many of our customers damage their tractors trying to remove trees and brush with their front end loaders and rotary cutters and that's every brand. Equipment like this not only is way more efficient but much easier on the tractor and the operator. My experience after 40+ years shows equipment like this actually can save you a lot of money.

    I purchased a Hard Brush Tiger from Tri-Green Equipment in Mc Minnville, TN. 1st time I used it, the rotator arm bent beyond repair. Hardee would not warranty labor for the replacement of the part, Tri-Green Equipment charged me $400.00 for labor to replace the part. In several RUclips videos viewed prior to purchasing the equipment the problem with the rotator arm was mentioned. I spoke with a factory representative prior to purchase, he said he was aware of the RUclips video. But, these were isolated incidences and if there were to be a problem, Hardee would stand behind their product. He failed to mention that I would be stuck with a $400 labor charge. I suggest looking into another manufacturer and dealer before settling on Tr--Green Equipment or Hardee Brush Tiger.

      I heard the 254 is smaller.
      Just an idea. But maybe make a video explaining the line from smallest to biggest. And what the numbers mean. Like is the 4* at the end, some how denoting a smaller machine? I been hella kurios since we bought ours. Granted I'm a nerd. But still,...... I feel like we all are in a way. My girl is always telling me i love traktors and traktor porn more then i love her.

    I suspect the cutter will throw all manner of rubbish and some of that rubbish will end up in the face of the operator. I think this risk can be mitigated by an operators cab on the tractor with armoured windows.
    The other thing that bothers me with rotary blade cutters is the high cost of maintenance. A flail mower on a hydraulic arm seems to be more efficient and durable.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  Год назад

      I have been using it for three years. I have never had one thing thrown in my direction. An incompetent operator can kill himself. Always cut with the cutter facing away. It never throws anything toward the tractor.
