- In this video i improvise a tent oven / cooking stove made from a 5 liter paint can. All the parts you need for build it can be stored in the can. The chimney i made from empty spray cans and lenghtwise cutted tin cans as connecting parts.

Felix, du bist der Größte👍
Liebe Grüße aus Südhessen wünscht der franky🙋♂️
Vielen Dank lieber Frank!
Using a rubber mallet in the vise as a soft anvil. I've done a bit of fitting work but that's a new one to keep up my sleeve
Hello Richard. Thanks a lot for your comment!
Thank you Richard. I missed that. Handy hint to file away for when I need it. And thank you, Felix.
I think I will wait until the book is released: ” A look into the brain of an Immler ”.😂👍
Haa ha haa what a mess! 😂😂
You are the « Rolex » of simplicity. Keep going you are an inspiration for people thinking out of the box . Dance !
Wow, thank you! Your compliment makes me happy!
Vielen Dank mein lieber Freund!!!
My wife just woke up,1;30am here, showed her this video, she enjoyed it as much as I did !!!
amazing tricks and resorsive. I am 74 and spend many days in the mountains... thank you
glenn purcell
Hello Glenn. Thanks a lot for your comment...and greetings to your wife!
Geniales Konzept!
Gute Idee 👍
Great little stove for the rough camp
Thank you so much!!
You, Nikos Doulas and Angus MacGyver are the the only real and original MacGyvers.
All the other MacGyvers are just imitating.
:D
Hello Michal. Thanks for your compliment!
My wifes favorite part of the videos are "Hello youtube!"
😀😀 Thanks a lot!
Now do it with a Swiss Army knife. j/k. Awesome video and thankful I got to see you doing this, even though I'm a bit late to the party. Great idea and what a combination with the dome tent. Thank you.
🌲🌲🦅🌲thank you for sharing your videos best wishes from Canada to you 🌲🦌🌲

@@FelixImmlerSehr gerne!
You always impress me with your ingenuity mate, but on this occasion you have outdone yourself. Brilliant work.
Thank you very much!!
nice but i must say I liked the cows on the windowsill
Haaa ha haa, thanks a lot Sara! 😂
That's genius. And works really great. Thanks for sharing. 👍😀
Thanks a lot for your feedback!
Very good thinking Felix!
Thank you so much!
Sei sempre il migliore Felix!
MIlle grazie and bella italia! 😊😊
You should point out that it's very, VERY important to make sure you insulate the chimney from the tent. And have a lot of air coming in.
It's no fun if you wake up dead ;-)
But you don't wake up if you're dead.
Now you have me thinking about a stove made from an old 25 pound bbq propane tank...✌
Wowww, what a fantastic idea!
I've made a couple of them out of old propane tanks. I use one to keep the garage warm while working on projects. You need a little bit more than basic hand tools, so it's not for everyone. But they work insanely well, the thick metal radiates the heat like a champion. Also, this is a great video Felix!
A friend of mine makes them, they are amazing stoves/portable fire pits!
LG
@@FelixImmler dann bin ich mal ganz gespannt ;)
Absolut geniale Upcycling Idee!! Ich lern immer wieder was Neues bei deinen Videos.
Schönen Gruß aus Österreich! :)
Dankeschön!
Bow to the Master 💪👌👏🙌
Thanks for your comment!
Just need to remember when making the dome to keep a square of plastic to cover the stovepipe hole when not using stove - excellent invention!
Great tip! Thank you!
27th comment . Awesome as always Mr. Immler & Thanks . We gotta get you to 1 Million subs very soon & Immler Edition Swiss Army Knife .
Haaa ha haa, oh jeahhh do that! 😂😂😂
Immler Victorinox Knife - Yes !!
I would buy that edition!
Very cool. I like that it is all compact and easy to store and cary. Excellent idea.

Tolle Idee super umgesetzt, stark! 👍👏😃
Danke für das Lob! LG
what a bloody great video.
Thank you so much!
Just the video i needed to finally get me motivated enough to make a diy stove. Thank you for this video.
Good luck!!!
Nicely done and the adjustable air valve is what's always been needed with these. Similar ones I've made in the past I could never get the air holes at the bottom quite right for every fire. Best to burn somewhere outdoors first time so that any paint residue doesn't smoke up your tent. The larger US style 5 gallon buckets work good but you have to burn the silicone seal off the lid in a very hot fire with some kinds. Others will peel away like in this vid. Getting hard to find the metal ones here as most are now plastic.
Thanks a lot for your super nice feedback. Yes the next time i would burn out all parts first outside of the tent!
you can still get the steel paint cans; I usually just call up to my local hardware store to find out if they have any empties in stock. They carry so many, and if I want more of them, they know me so they’ll bring in more. But only by request.
that’s only true for the smaller buckets, as far as I know. I’ve never tried ordering in large steel buckets for paint. Perhaps somebody else can speak about that.
Fascinating vid! I'm going to fashion a similar stove!
Super!!
Du bist der beste bushcraft youtuber
Danke für das wunderschöne Kompliment!
Hi Felx. Super improviziert! RESPECT! Und Gott sei dank Du hast deine Schweizrwe Offizier Messer benutzt! Bleib gesund. LG. Nigel
Haaa ha haa, Danke Nigel!!
One man's trash is this man's building material.
Haaa ha haa that's true!!
Very ingenious idea and design. Compact and portable. Plus, I feel like I can make it myself from the tools that I have around the house. I always learn something new from your videos. I bought your book, liked and subscribed.
Hello Ron. Wowww thank you so much for your valuable support!!
LG Leopold 🤗
Sehr coole Idee!!
$5 for the parts, $2000 for the tools :) Love it though, thanks for another great video.
Haaa ha haa, i agree to a certain degree! Thanks for your feedback!
Such excellent simplicity of engineering!

Nice job.
Thanks for the visit
Very good.
Thank you very much!
WOW Felix! That's an excellent build!
I will try this for sure!
It will be cooling off very soon here in Tennessee, U.S. and this will be welcome on cold nights camping in the Appalachian mountains.
Thanks again for the inspiration!
👍👍
I really enjoy projects like these. I've made a heater from a couple of flower pots when my central heating unit died, and once made an alcohol stove with an external fuel tank and gravity feed using empty beer cans and piece of silicone tubing.
Hello Ronald. Wowww, this sounds super interesting!!
make sure the flower pots have not been used before...if someone used fertilizer on the plants....I believe it killed my parrot whenI used flower pots that were not new
@@Sheepdog1314 : That could be the case, but you need to check a flower pot if you think you’re gonna use it for something survival related; the Italian ones are all food grade, so they never have any coatings or anything on them, but the ones coming from other places sure can. You pretty much have to sand those ones clean and rinse them very well, using a new brush or scrubby so that you don’t transfer any grease from the scrubby onto the pot. Whether you’re using it for water filtration or for heating, Grease on the pot will not help; The other thing about that is that if your pots come from Pakistan, they’re probably excellent quality pots for putting flowers in, but there is a quirk with the soil used for terra-cotta in that region. It has lead in it, Which can leach out if it’s used for water filtration; and I wonder if it can be harmful if it’s used in a hot application, perhaps a meeting something gaseous into the air.
Perhaps somebody else can speak to that?
Wow great idea herr Imler
Thanks a lot Kemal!
Way Cool... Thank You.
Hello Alexander. Glad you liked it!
If you keep the lid on the cooking will have a drier, hotter fire and will create more even cooking like the lid mimicking a heat diffuser. Plus no nasty soot getting all over your camping gear. :)
Hello Melissa! Thanks for the tip!
@@FelixImmler Anytime! :)
Way beyond what we called a Boy Scout project when I was about 12. I recall soldering soup cans together. Whatever works be well my friend.

Hi Felix,

Love the tips and tricks you share. Finally bought a hunter as I have seen you using it often, also it was in allot of the recommendation from others. Tried buying the book also but it is way too expensive here in India.
Thanks again for sharing your work.

Saurabh.
