I own a 2005 Honda Pilot 290,000 Miles still drives like New .So I kept My 2005 Honda Pilot and Bought My Wife a 2023 Honda Pilot She is in Love with it and I know it will last a long time just Like Toyota Products reliability is Proven through the Years . If anyone buys a 2023 Honda Pilot they will love ❤️ it and they keep their resale value Very well.😀
Unfortunately mine 2023 Elite has many factory defects, very disappointed 😔
@@Anonymous-ue8qo
Please describe those issues so people won’t make the same mistake
I have a Pilot and Ridgeline and no issues so far
@@reyperez3424
Transmission jerking
Rear bumper defect
Seat defect
Windshield wipers defects
Although gas mileage isn’t great, the engine does run on regular gas which is a cost saving over cars that require premium.
Trading in my wife's 2020 Limited Palisade for the 2024 Elite. We drove just about every V-6 3 row SUV and the Pilot was the most comfortable with a surprisingly tight turning radius.
How's your Pilot??
My wife loves it. The tech on the palisade was slightly better, but the ride on the pilot is superior.
I’m a Toyota fan and have owned a 4Runner and currently a Highlander, but I’m on the fence with the new Pilot.
Yes I like this vehicle this trim and color combo. Will probably be shopping for it September,October.
I have been watching all RUclipss about it since they announced it.
New body style looks so aggressive. I love it.
Saw one recently, was very impressed with the looks
I'll wait for the upgraded larger entertainment screen, hybrid engine option, improved Honda Sensing lane keep, more trims with ventilated seats, and better noise reduction.
You won't be able to afford it
@@lookingthroughice7843 And yet you know fuckall about me.
You may be waiting for a while 🤔
@@islandknight6105 That's okay. This 2020 Accord is superb. Should run for many years as it gets babied.
@redcapote4760 Yes, the old gen Accord is an excellent, cavernous vehicle. It's even more spacious in the front and rear than this current gen Pilot.
They went back to their roots with the styling.
This was a relief to watch as a new owner of 2023 Honda Passport Touring edition. As with all of my big purchases, I was having a bit of buyer’s remorse but this video reminded me why the wife and I decided on the Passport (very similar to the Pilot) as the best fit for us.
Was looking getting into one, but the center console with the gear selection takes up too much space, and not having a hybrid model for the price really is a bummer. Currently own a 07 Ridgeline RTL. V6 great engine, but out dated. Currently not worth the money IMO. Let wait see what Honda does by 2025.
How does the pilot compare to subaru ascent..looking at both models
I just purchased the model car color shown in video except for the interior which in my Honda is black. I don't do brown. Ever! Mine is also a 2024. I currently have a 2009 Honda Pilot EXL and it's been a great vehicle and never let me down! I didn't think I would be buying another one, but I really just don't like the idea of a 4 cylinder car with turbos or hybrid. It's the cost of something going wrong with either technology that can bite you later! I like the idea that Honda engineered the V-6 for better emissions as I'm not anti enviornment, but still like a tried and true stand alone quality motor witha proven track record. So, back to the Honda it was and I have no regrets. The dealer gave me one hell of a deal as the weather was bad and on a weekend and the GM didn't want to see deals lost. I was thinking of the new Lexus GX 550 as the only alternative, but isn't coming out until mid year or so with delays and earthquake that shut things down for a bit. It also has a V6, but sadly with turbos, but would have been the only turbo car I would have bought. But, the sticker price also killed it. No brainer going back to tried and true. Bottom line, I love it!
I definitely notice the transmission. I’ve had my Pilot for a couple of months. I love it other than the transmission.
Does the Elite drive smoother and quieter than the Trailsport? I will be preordering one without testdriving.
Thats what the reviews say.. elite has better acoustic glass and better tires
If you don't need that 3rd row and want better gas mileage? We just purchased the 2024 CR-V, Sport Touring AWD hybrid. We love it and the gas mileage. Averaging around 35 MPGin mixed driving.
How is this for a tall driver in the front seat?
Can you fit two large dog boxes side by side inside? Width of 49 inches, height 36 inches, length 42 inches. Thanks.
Yo
Pilot's fold-flat cargo area is more functional than the Grand Highlander, has a V6 which the Grand Highlander does not have. But the Grand Highlander is more chiseled looking on the outside and more luxurious on the inside. If Honda is less conservative with its design, then it would have a real winner on its hand. But of course, Honda is too conservative and arrogant to change now.
Grand Highlander is more powerful with hybrid max and more fuel efficient.
This looks nice!
When is 2024 pilot elite coming out
One week test drive and its the greatest. Drive it for 3 yrs or 4 then tell us something. Your saying the same as everyone.
Sad this is less efficient than my 2016 pilot. I suspect the huge flat snout does not help. Form over function. Hope the new v6 is as durable as the single overhead cam it replaces.
It has a dual overhead cam now. It will do great!
Telluride is the best in this segment (esp EX and up trims). The drive, handling, maneuverability, braking, comfort, road noise, mpg all makes the Telluride my top choice. The interiors are definitely more on the luxury end compared to others except Palisade. On a highway, I typically get 27/28 mpg in ECO mode. The drive in ECO mode is still pretty good. Never felt like changing the mode to sport.
Here’s the thing, I keep cars for a decade. Will the Kia still be as good mechanically? I still view kias as disposable.
@@2steaksandwiches665yup agreed. Test drove a palisade and it didn’t live up to the hype. Kia/Hyundai is better than the past but cut corners where it matters for mechanicals, chassis. Materials are not as nice as they look in pics and it just feels less solid than pilot.
@@philipjacob2314 this is our first Honda. And first Japanese car. We have had a Volvo XC90 for 11 years and it will become my daily until it blows up. The Honda just clocked for us when wife drove it .
Other reviewers have rated the Pilot better in driving dynamics over Telluride and Palisade. They say the draw back is fuel efficiency.
@@fredmoss4540 I’m okay it a car costs me an extra few hundred dollars a year in gas
Would anyone choose this over the grand highlander?
The grand highlander hybrid max is 2nd to no 3 row suv, better in everything but then you look at price and then size, for someone who drives town daily, hybrid max will be too big for me and this fits my personality. It's all about taste and preference.
Yes I will because I've been a Honda/Acura owner for over 40yrs.
I'm not going to change auto brand.
The Toyota Highlander I don't like looks over 4th Gen Pilot.
My 2 neighbors in houses next to mine each have Highlanders.
The exterior frontal looks of 4th Gen Pilot are better looking to me.
I also like the IVTM4 Torque Vectorng AWD System in Pilot.
Had expected Ridgeline redesign this year on the same newer MDX,Pilot platform. Hasn't happened yet so decided on Pilot.
We already have Gen 1 Ridgeline in family.
@modernsoccer1860 you have a point.
@modernsoccer1860 I meant the grand highlander, but I do like the look of the new pilot better than the grand highlander as well. Gh just reminds me of an over sized rav4, which my wife already owns.
@@modernsoccer1860 thnak you.
I like the 2018 chevrolet traverse 3LT better. It just look much sportier and sleeker. As for that pilot, it just look kind of funky and odd looking exterior and interior.
The programming of transmission is very inconsistent. Sometimes it fine, sometimes it’s not. Many have noticed it. You have to be a car guy and know what you are looking for.
I feel like 9 speed was better.
The vast majority of reviewers found fault with the previous 9 speed (harsh shifting when cold) and love the 10 speed for its smoothness.
That shifter makes this a deal breaker which is a shame.
Looks like a Kia Sorento in Front Mask.
Telluride looks better inside and out. Honda will be more reliable. Toyota more fuel efficient than any in this segment.
Most importantly, Honda drivers better than the two
It's all about that Honda V-6 motor that tells the story!@@harrytej
💖👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💖
i just hate the japanese brands - including korean - force you to get a huge sunroof on the upper trim levels.
Mine 2023 Elite has many factory defects already, think twice before buying
I have to say I don't love the new body style- I prefer the more rounded front.
Fuck that.
The previous gen looks like a minivan. I mean these are minivans, who are we kidding…but still
They reverted back to the popular design from 2008-15. The last version was ugly
@@coldsoldier313 that 2008 version was always decent looking. Looks like a Tonka truck.
@@coldsoldier313 I agree, the last version was trash.
They need to make bigger mirrors, and get rid off auto idle stop
You can turn idle stop off on Honda/Acura with a push of button. You just have to do each time you restart the vehicle.
It's for emission possible fuel economy.
I still don't get why people dislike just pushing a button to turn feature off at the start of drive or doing.
@@fredmoss4540 its annoying, im gonna take a fuse out.
@swordofesau952 I still don't understand people making a fuss over it.
They go to much effort to install devices to disable it. Acura & Honda just push the button for that drive to disable feature.
Just like fastening seatbelt each time you drive.
I don't have feature in my current older Acura/Honda vehicles.
But I have driven a few Acura loaner cars when mine was in dealer service.
Been seeing this posted for number of years on Ridgeline Owners Club.
I change the radio station or adjust the temperature in the vehicle more times each drive than it would take once each trip to push disable button.
@@fredmoss4540 its annoying, pissess me off. Makes me wanna get rid of the car.
@@swordofesau952 wow!! Over pushing a button? Easily triggered,
Is this a sport LX, touring, elite???
If honda removed that stupid looking tablet or intergrate it into the dashboard better i would really like the pilot. The other thing i would prefer is an optional shifter stick insread of the pushbutton crap. Thirdley i don't like the bulbous nose, i like the last generations look.
The Jelly Bean look of the last 3rd Generation Pilot is what a lot of people hated.
The last generation of Pilot had a horrible look which led to low sales.
I rather have tablet than some of these larger ridiculous infotainment screens.
We're not watching TV I don't want the passenger side of dashboard all light up at night.
I was interested in this cuv until i saw that stupid looking tablet sticking up from the dashboard, that to me is such a turnoff and this is done in so many vehicles. Get rid of this garbage.
