On the question of why we use the LISN in a radiated emissions test, there is a paper by VCCI Technical Sub-committee called "A round-robin test on effectiveness of a VHF LISN for radiated emission measurements". It shows that when the impedance is not defined there is a 10dB inconsistency in the measured field results depending on different test sites for the 30-200MHz range. Some other papers that look at this find similar or greater deviation in measured field results. So the purpose of the LISN for radiated emissions is consistency of results at different test sites.

Is it worth buy the program from texbox for Siglent analyzer? Or is better to buy options for EMI measurement for a Siglent ?

I would definitely buy the Tekbox version, the user interface is so much better, it also allows you to do a lot of comparisons between different tests, etc.

Hi, thx for this video. one question: i used the passiv load from tekbox, same model like you used outside.. but if i want to measure for example a logic level FET pulsed with 1 khz pwm and 2 Amps load with this passive load, it messes up the spectrum a lot.. and the fet gets very very hot.. with a normal load of LED Stripes is all ok and i get a perfect wave on the scope.. is it because the small capacitance of Led stripe? How do you use this load ? thx for Feedback. Best Regards.
