Perfect
Btw, my only wish for KCD2: PERKS FOR BOW AND ARROW PLZ!!!! 🏹🏹🏹🏹I need to ramp up my Archery game!
@@Odisseia-hh2td It would be cool to have perks, and lots of perks to choose to all skills.
The tapeworm was actually the mastermind behind Henry's skillset.
HA!
SO FUCKING EXCITED JESUS CHRIST BE PRAISED HENRY!!!
he did some unchristian things. And I bet he will be doing them 😉
Hey look! Henry's come to see us.
Jesus Christ be praised!
He's feeling quite hungry.
One of the most well executed intros of all time. You go from throwing shit on the side of someone's house, getting in a fight where you maybe (barely) win against some local bullies showing just how crappy you are at fighting, and then you see an army of soldiers on warhorses line the horizon. I've never had another game give me that sense of "I am so unprepared for this". Such great work.
I didn't win against the drunkard and the bullies. Then when the women was getting rped tried to save her and got rped instead. Truly a very immersive game and the characters are great.
the character progression even
For sure. It's special. And the mechanics are so immersive. I can sit doing alchemy forever.
By the end of 2024, these guys know how to make a trailer.
Get ready for it to get downgraded severely
(Please warhorse don’t downgrade the game)
@@IRON_KING_KNIGHT what do you mean downgraded?
@@MrJosh066717 Downgrade. To decrease the grade (quality) of something…how did this word confuse you?
They are very real and transparent with their game. I can't wait
@@MrJosh066717

This kingdom come 1 first trailer. You can see it looks absolutely NOTHING like the actual launch. But that’s fine alot of studios do that to advertise their game however companies like Ubisoft downgraded almost all of their games in the past few years. I hope warhorse don’t do the same
I watched the reveal during my break and had to do a couple laps around the building because i was so excited 😅
Same but I was outside with my kids
the Soudntrack is banger
Bethesda when they mention it's only 2 load screens: ''Write that down, write that down!''
Two? I dont even remember the any loading screens from the first game
@@luisliscabo finish the video.
@@luisliscaboThere were some after the ends of cutscenes, and I think the rest and sleep windows were loading screens in disguise. But you're right in that you could ride the map from edge to edge and visit every building without load screens.
I think the commenter here is referring more towards Bethesda and their recent game Starfield, which has been criticised for having too many load screens.
Bethesda when they mention it's only 2 load screens: ''Fkn idiots! Everyone knows that more is better!''
@@AleksiJoensuu yeah. When the world was rebuild. In other words a complete different map was loaded.
But to be honest. I hate this load screen fetish nowadays.
I rather have a few loadscreens than a bugged out world.
Buy an SSD and the loading times will shorten. And if it's necessary. The loading screen is the least important thing when it's about destroying my fun.
GOTY confirmed!
One of the best RPGs I've played.
I liked those limited saves in KCD1 (well in fact it was my proposal when it was disccussed with backers on forums, sooo sorry not sorry? :D), it really introduced some immersive tension into the game while not being limited by single save... Those ambushes by bandits in woods were now real threat and danger and you really had to think twice if you wanna even try to fight or flee asap.
Lockpicking in KCD is great. I like that its actually challenging. Everything I love about this game is how it doesn't hold your hand.
Only issue is felt shit on controller
seems combat will be more casual-friendly this time around, which sucks haha.
@@Sargassian the combat looks way more deep and engaging, lots of fluid animations and moves you can pull off. Your hits actually connect now instead of just swinging through the air, enemies react realistically. This is a massive leap up from the first game. Nothing about this is negative this is 100% positive, they are giving the fans exactly what we want and not holding back to make the game casual. Things like lock picking also isn't being dumbed down either. KCD2 will be just as hardcore and brutal as the first game and I love it.
@@0-B1 when I play on PC I mostly play with controller but I switch to mouse and keyboard just for the lock picking lol
Genre? There is only one game like this and it's KCD. Nothing else fights like this.

In for honor fighting system it’s very similar

True KCD it’s solid rpg, I would say even, peasant simulator with great story and mechanics
Henry grown old. Biggest achievement in those ages. Glad you don't have to learn everything from zero
Would be even cooler if the sequel sees your save file of the prequel
@@IRON_KING_KNIGHT they could impliment that you choose certain skills that are buffed to start

Older? It takes place just after kcd 1. He probably hasnt aged that much
Warhorse: there are zero load screens
Bethesda: wut
Oh we can explore 1000 planets with no loading screens in KCD2? Wow that's very impressive by Warhorse.
@@thekingofinfinity If U do not mind medieval style of those planets...
@@thekingofinfinity this is not the gotcha you think it is. Considering that other open world games like no man's sky did this specific mechanic (flying onto a planet) just better.
I blame this one on Bethesdas refusal to let go of the creation engine.
@@thekingofinfinity oh you can explore 1000 planets with 2 npcs and a mashup of same things ON ALL OF THEM. BRAVO!
Once you get deep in KCD1, you’ll start to notice multiple areas of the game that went totally unfinished. Forgivable, since it was a small team crowdfunded project. I think KCD2’s final state will blow the last game out of the water with all the resources they got this time around
Never been more excited for a game in my life
Dragons dogma 2 and this! HOLY MOLY
Really good interview. Many questions I wanted to see answered thank you Fextra
Glad you enjoyed it!
I don’t ever want to play a “chosen one” game the rest of my life.
nor another game where the main character has lost his memory.
I mean. Ordinary folk are weak and they suck, and they aren't as interesting tho lol
Ironically, Henry kind of was a chosen one. I'll not day more in case I'll spoil it for someone. But I was sort of sad when Henry became "too important" towards the end of the game.
@@AleksiJoensuu chosen one doesn’t mean “important”. It means “destined” or “ordained”. It’s a mystical thing, not a political thing.
@@bmardiney Yeah, that's how I see it as well - it's hard to say without spoilers but, uhm, if someone still hasn't played it, please ignore me as I write "ix-nay on the eritage-hay" 😄
Meaning I would have preferred if he WAS just "a blacksmith's boy" all the way.
Not to be too critical: I absolutely loved KCD and it's possibly my favourite game of all time - and I've been gaming since the early 90s. 😄
"I feel quite hungry"
I’m so pumped . I’m not usually a fan of being locked into a character most the time and prefer character creation. But I love Henry . I think a big reason is you started KCD as just a peasant son of a blacksmith who’s young and has no skills so it’s easy to mold Henry into anything since he truly started as no one . Also Tom McKay just does a fantastic job as Henry .
Kcd is such an incredible game , I’m doing my third play-through currently and it’s just so charming . I’ve also never learned so many historic facts playing a game ! Truly one of a kind , I’m so so so happy a sequel is coming
Dragons Dogma 2, shadow of the Erdtree, NOW THIS. How many great games will I play this year???
Gonna buy it 100%. I loved KCD1. Can't wait!
KCD1 felt like 2 thirds of a game, like it needed a proper ending and more content story wise. I hope we get a longer history and a proper ending. KCD1 was one of those few that really make you fall in love with the game media.
Gor me it felt like classic litterature or in lord of the rings. With a open ending for your own imagination. That helped me appreciate how kcd1 ended
Horrible comment.
The ending of kcd 1 is very good, and the games story is one of the main highlights of henry growing from a lost boy to a man with a purpose, and the ending to that story is in the right place as our heroes have secured a small but significant regional victory so they ride into the sunset to take on the larger conflict.
But when it comes to gameplay mechnaics or the scope of the experience yes it is a bit ture as originally the promises of large scale sieges and massive battles were not realised among many other things that are getting their attention in the next game
@@szucsoliverleonard Even the maker of the game varva said the game was supposed to be longer and they had to abruptly end because they ran out of their budget so you just wrote a whole lot of bs to justify a clearly sucky ending
@@honestlyconfused69420he never said it like this wtf. But yes KCD1 did not contain all of the story but they were aware of that and not just towards the end of development.
I always admired the first game because it respected your intelligence as a player. I'm hoping they were emboldened by the oustanding success of recent large open-world games like Elden Ring and Baldur's Gate 3 to double down on a more hands-off, player freedom-driven, RPG approach.
I mean BG3 came out last year when they already were deep into development. Doubt the game had an effect. But they are building on their first game that did a lot of this right so I’m optimistic.
Man I can't wait for this. I backed their Kickstarter for the first game and I am so glad it turned out magnificent. I have no doubts KCD2 will deliver. Jesus Christ be praised.
I had some xp with Motion Capture and love KCD2 ' seriously fluid, accurate animations and movement and fight choreography - it does the realistic style of the narrative justice. Kudos Warhorse! Ps. You almost saw me as Leon in these new Resident Evil games :)
Randomly mixing ingredients to stumble across potion recipes was fun. I hope that they expand on that. Maybe secret potions that can only be found in this way.
Might go back and play the first one
Im gonna try hardcore mode this time
@@Executi0ner246 good luck brother. I barely can handle it regularly 😂
@seangrever3506 love hardcore mode. Navigation is so hard and so fun. Luckily I've been a dayZ player since day 1, I also used the sleep walker negative perk. Only affected me about 10 times throughout the playthrough and was always a fun adventure
I'll definitely do another playthrough before 2 comes out
@@Executi0ner246man the only thing that stopped me playing hardcore was the lack of a compass and cursor on the map. I liked everything else about it but just that was a deal breaker for me, I don't have the free time to be lost in the woods for hours and hours lol.
I put 250 hours into one playthrough of kcd I'm so hyped
Yeah my first playthrough was 190 hours. Now this is twice as big? Damn I'm going to have to clear months off my calendar.
@@AleksiJoensuubruh, an average playthrough is like 50 hours.
even a platinum run i did with zero killing was like 80.
@@M-Rayan Platinum? Do you mean hardcore mode?
Anyways yeah I'm always slow in games, but probably extra slow in KCD. I took my sweet time wandering the woods, playing farkle and doing just about everything I could think of at the time. I did get the "Complete all quests" achievement on my first playthrough - even though I hadn't completed all the quests.
I've played the game twice again since then and have a little less than 400 hours total, so the other two were much shorter.
I thought this was an April Fool's joke or something, but im SO glad its not
Yes! Dragons Dogma 2, Outward 2, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Give me Nioh 3 and I am starting to believe again.
Also Gothic Remake is said to release this year although I'm not sure if it will be good.
Yes, I'm definitely looking forward to this game.
You didn't ask about save transfer for choices in KD1?
They said choices will not transfer so that newcomers don’t miss out.
@@makytondr8607 Dang. You'd think they'd take some notes on how W3 did it
Good question! I can’t really explain why I liked it so much. But TIME PASSAGE was one, I think. The interface to manage equipment and upgrades and so on was perfect, too. And the game spirit. And how open it was. In my first game I knew nothing, I refused the thieves missions for I was an honest man. I wasn’t given weapons ir armor or horse in some time so I explored places unarmored and with just a wood cutting axe, then I crossed bandits at night. Oh! Nights are so dark! I think I had lots of feelings such as fear, and some frustration as I learnt, but it was so rewarding to learn. It was really open. Combat is super fun. The missions are fun. The one in the monastery was extraodinary
What’s the title of the game? I don’t think it was said enough times
I really hope they dont make it too easy, everything.. i loved part one! and a big part of it was the progression u made, and getting better(not just getting new op magical gear etc) where u actually had to learn the mechanics and skills and reflexes etc. and felt more a part of henrey and his life and progression, then any other rpg i have ever played! so glad part2 is finally coming out
I'm gonna have to replay KCD it seems. I'm so hyped that KCD2 is FINALLY announced and going to be released this year!
Based on what KCD1 is and this trailer I can say already that this game is without doubt my game of the year for 2024.
Yes! Holy shit! Henry has come to see us!
Welp I think I just found my game of the year! 😊
cannot wait!!!!
Nice extra infos, thanks fex team 💜
So exited about this game! This is the most informative video i have seen so far about KCD2
What is the song in the end?
Great, now I HAVE to go back and finish that stupid monastery quest!!
I was just thinking the same thing!
There is a very quick way to end it, if you know who Pious is
8:00 most people have guessed from the trailer (and dev comments) that your initial mission with Hans Capon at the end of KCD1/Start of KCD2 doesn't go as planned, which somehow leads to the capture, beating and fighting scene from the trailers, where Henry basically gets his sh*t kicked and starved, maybe a concussion, and this leads to his reduced stats as he heals, where mid level is back to peak Henry from KCD1 and then past that you will start to see the newer skills and refinements that only real masters could teach Henry. But that's just a theory.
KCD was the best 'game' I've ever played. Period.
This will be the Baldurs Gate 3 of 2024. I can't wait for this game. I've been playing the first one again and I've been having such a blast. Especially brewing potions. That's so fun just by itself.
I had no idea about this - really excited for KCD2! Hopefully will smooth some of the rougher edges of the first game
Another one? I LOVED the og. Played it multiple times. This is exciting news
As much as I love KCD (did multiple playthroughs on 2 platforms --PS4 and XSX) one thing that bothered me was, of all things, the sound of horse riding. Not so much when galloping, but on the slower paces. Not only did the mixing felt weird (way too loud and bassy) but it also sounded like the timing was off. And this is coming from someone who's always appreciated horse riding sound in games (and IRL). I hope they will revisit this aspect for KCD2, to the point I'll be looking forward to getting back on my horse as opposed to lowering the volume everytime I do. Thank you for the video.
I know a lot of people haven't played this, but when you brought up the "old rpg feel" i was immediately reminded of Two Worlds.
I had no idea this was coming. I’m hyped.
We are blessed to live in times where some devs realized that we want games like BG3 and this not games like Starfield. And honestly I am so proud to be from Bohemia right now
I'd like if they implemented auto saving after any mission advances and make saviour schanps much harder to get because I could already abuse them in the original
I waited for a long time to have a medieval adventure like Darklands but modern. 😊 Seems like this will fit the bill.
YEEEEEEEEEEESSSS!!!!!
I'm shocked but in a good way. I was sure they were going to make part 2 but I was also sure that Henry story was done. I'm super happy I was wrong
Game of the year
Also a interview with Nights arcade and Toby is available to watch.
YES!
Hey just a quick question if you get this is the first one worth playing? It's 4.50 on PlayStation store and looks good.
yes.
4.50 for KCD is a steal
Would be nice to get a current gen patch for KCD1
It’s like we’ve been wanting games to be more realistic forever and adapt to our choices. I feel like now I’m so used to those guardrails that I wouldn’t think creatively enough to steal weapons or armor before a battle. User problem for sure that I hope I can correct because I love this concept! Great vid @fextralife
Here’s hoping that we can still use longbows!
here is hoping we get bow and arrow perks!!! 🏹🏹🏹🏹 C'mon! it was so fun going full Legolas on KCD1, just missed having ways to take it to the next level.
There is still longbow did you watch the trailer?
@@muhammadharits7127 not confirmed if Henry will use it still
@@thypotato7794 I think crosbows and pistols shall be the usable.
kcd 2 has possibility to improve on every aspect of the first game.
The combat, story, and everything about this game was amazing. I tried it on my PS4/5 and I just couldn't get into it. The lockpicking on controller was horrid. But on PC it was far superior than anything I've played.
Love the dice game too, i want more dice this time and more gaming.
5:45 PLEASE Warhorse dont make it more "easy", i loved how i struggled with KCD1 especially the bow it was so fun when u finally get the flow.
Or if it comes to that, make it an option "easier mode".
Cannot wait for this one. Will have to get a new pc to really feel like I am actually exploring forest of my homeland.
Nobody has covered the one thing I want to know. If Henry, after everything he has done, will be granted some sort of title or rank for his achievements. Obviously Radzig was very accepting of him and took to calling him Son in front of the other Nobles. Is Wenceslas still missing? If not, did Radzig have Henry legitimized as his only living heir? Does Henry get Knighted at the very least? At the moment he is officially the Bailiff of Pribyslavitz, but does anything else happen with his status?
Man i have to play again this masterpiece
I wish they implement a hair/beard change style for Henry like it is on Rdr2
Thanks for asking about console performance. I'm a bit worried but if they don't hit 60fps, I wonder if they can implement VRR.
Rebuilding the settlement was a sick DLC. ngl. Hopefully they have that in this too! Can’t wait!
This game looks absolutely incredible! And they did such an amazing job with the presentation.
Let’s Go!
Might have to start another game of kcd 1 so excited about this game
As long as I can Riposte, I wouldnt worry about sucking in combat
That first game also looks amazing, i might pick it up. its on sale.
Great intro man
So happy the new game will maintain some of the elements of the first such as saving. Hopefully fast travel also. I enjoy that it doesn't just allow you to save-scum and warp around the map consequence free. It makes the world feel more brutal and realistic to know you might get jumped on the road.
Please tell me there's a cross hair for archery
If you have a monitor you should be able to activate cross hair via settings that’s what I do
The audio on this video is way too quiet on you need to have a treble focused equalizer
How the hell did you make this so fast
a lot of outlets and reviewers were shown the trailer early and were able to interview the developers. studios do this so when they post their content reviewers post theirs shortly after and it all generates hype and publicity that builds on itself.
Some Yters had Contracts so that they could make videos befor it got announced
Like Frag nat or something Like that (Its a german Yter)
For me, one of the most immersive games i ever played. I really loved that game, so im very happy about that announcment.
im really hyped and im looking forward to it!
Somehow better than oblivion without the need for magic... soooo so good.
😮 that's a daring statement. Playing the first one soon so i hope it is
Replaying KCD now. I forgot just how much I liked the game.
Jesus Christ be praised !
I hope you will be able to go inside the kuttenburg mines and mine ores and stuff
I need to finish the first game asap
What about alchemy? I loved the potion system in the game and how that part of the crafting system worked. Is it still the same?
It will 100% be in the game. That’s confirmed. I bet it will be very similar.
Heck yes. KCD is one of my all time favorite games. Been waiting for this for a while.
KCD is in my top five favorite games ever. I fully expect this one to join it. Let's goooooo
Please tell me we can dual wield swords
I loved KCD, I put so many hours into it, but never finished it. I just couldn't get good enough at the combat, to the point it was just becoming to frustrating. I still loved it, but I really hope they make the combat maybe adjustable to be a bit easier to get the hang of. The save potions I thought were understandable but a bit stupid and frustrating and I ended up modding it so I had infinite, the difficulty was then not so unforgiving. Cant wait for 2 🎉
9:00 Haha I love this story :D
I can imagine getting good full night sleep, saving the game, waking up and be like "I feel like mass murderer this fine morning!"
I'm so excited for KCD2 I just pray to God they don't dumb it down or make it easier than KCD1, the challenge of KCD1 is what made it so great. If they make it easier that will just be annoying.
Didn't even know they were making a sequel. I never finished the first one as I just couldn't get a grasp on the combat. I'd do great in the tourneys or sparring the guard captain dude outside the main city but as soon as I ran into some high level enemies in the wild I'd get wrecked lol.
Great video thanks
