- The Tokyo Tower of Babel (東京バベルタワー) is a visionary 33,000 ft (10,000 m) tall hyper building that was proposed to be built in Tokyo in 1992. Although it is an unrealistic proposal, if actually built, it would be the tallest object on Earth surpassing Mount Everest by 3,968 ft (1,209 meters)

@@drakefrisbie9364 1. It would take extremely long to build 2. It would require a ton of resources 3. Despite all of that it's not particularly efficient, it's more just a really cool idea.

What a monster! This would make any building look puny and the top looked a bit like a crown!
It's not the tallest building ever invisioned but it's definitely the last building idea before it just become impractical, building taller than the tallest mountain has to be the logical and respectful limit.

This is awesome! The 3d model of an Tokyo tower of babel is really 10km/10,000m tall and it has a wide circular base! I can just do this in drawing of a piece of white paper only because i dont know how to even make some 3d models on a computer because im not using computer always just my only tablet XDDDDD but anyways just keep doing some 3d model tall towers S.H Lee!
Yes he probably model in SketchUp than the video and animation in Lumion, that's why it looks real but size is big and many scenes

The building should be well above the clouds as Mount Everest is and it's almost a Mile shorter.
It's such an absurdly tall structure and I love it, reminds me of that big upside down castle/Mech in Gurren Laggan but looks like a proper building.

It will take a lot longer then that my friend.
It's estimated that it will take upwards of 150 Years to complete and that's not even with today's technology. There's nothing that we have on Earth or enough of either that is strong enough to withstand the tempreture, pressure and wind difference from top to bottom and it would cost upwards of 10 Quadrillion Dollars.
Maybe in about 500 Years, if we survive and unify our species and become a more advanced and even space faring race and collect enough future, theoretical resources, then we can think about building a giant useless monstrosity.
It could be used as a holder for a space elevator, that could be the only use I could see it with.

The proyect is meant to start in 2400 so... probably at the time or we are extinct or we manage to do something like this, I would love to see this one day but it’s sadly impossible, and to me the structure is bad because of how is structured from inside, but can you imagine yourself there? man that would be so beautiful
