I have the same exact tractor 5090 E, it is the perfect tractor for me, I mow fields seven days a week for about four months straight and run about 12 to 14 hours a day, the 90 hp is the perfect set up because I can run Real heavy duty mowers but I can also run cat one mower implements and just squeak by with it without over powering it’s got great hydraulics it’s very powerful with incredible torque I can do a lot with this tractor and more, I like the E series because they are simple and easy to work on, this is the first tractor that I’ve ever owned that The radiators never get clogged up from dust and towards the end of my season the dust is bad, the radiators slide in and out for simple cleaning, also if you order one you can get three valves in the back which I have, I’ve added a door kit on the right side also came with air ride suspension seat and I added a stereo, they also make the M series & the R series which are nice tractors but for me the simple tractor is the best and it’s lighter than the other tractors which for some folks they prefer heavier but I try to not tear up the fields when I’m doing my mowing and I also have to consider transport weight sometimes I do three jobs in one day so having a little bit lighter tractor is better for me, so this set up works great and I run my tractors hard so if anyone’s in the market for one of these I highly recommend this tractor, it’s a good one👍

I have a 2010 5075E, pre emissions 4x4. Open operator station. I bought it from a divorce sale and the couple were the orignal owners. It had 825hrs when i bought it, the factory paint on the exhaust headers was still very much intact, i knew it had never been run hard.
I did have to add a 2nd rear remote to be able to use my bush hog though, in addition to that it came with the larger 553 loader available, plenty of strength to move bales, gravel, etc. It also has beet juice added in the rear tires for some rear balast. Helps alot in the virginia piedmont that my machine works in.
I use mine as a feeder tractor and to pull my 12' flexwing bushog, i agree with you, the light weight helps with tearing up the fields and soil compaction. I also love how simple the pre emissions units are, everything is clearly visible and accesible. Ive put about 125 hrs on it since ive bought in January and its served me very well.

Using the clutch to upshift or downshift 1-4 once you are moving is optional if you back the handle throttle to idle just before a shift and use the foot throttle to match engine rpm with the next gear instead of stopping and popping/slipping the clutch to get moving again. Also, if you want maximum clutch life, back your hand throttle to idle when using the powereverser to go from forward to reverse and vise versa.

It would be perfect if you could still get the reverser with the creeper.

I only have one question - why doesn’t John Deere provide the same layout in the 5E Open Station Machine?

What year Is that tractor I just bought mine 2 weeks ago and it's not the same on the inside. Also what is the part number for the Handel on the rear window the bar part. I don't have that and it would make closing the window easier

Hello! This was a MY 22 5090E. For this particular model, the part number for just the handle is L168271, there are corresponding attachment pieces as well. Without knowing the specific model and year of your tractor, please verify with your local JD Parts Department that this will work for your tractor before ordering. You can always research yourself in Parts Advisor through your myJohnDeere.com account as well. - Britt
