Aerosol droplets containing live influenza droplets try to infect the nasopharyngeal epithelial layer of the body. The antibodies either block or diminish the severity of the virus.

It has to replicate by using a living thing’s DNA (in the nucleus of its cells) as a host. However the virus does have its own RNA that uses that DNA for its own purposes. The vaccine uses a modified form of the RNA that your cells/DNA mark and use in a way that get all of the cells in your body to clock the virus as a threat and smash it at every stage.
