No question... Mernickle leather remains one of the best options for serious cowboy action competitors. Well thought out and practical design features. Well made, versatile and rugged. Top quality leather, by any standard. Nice shooting with those Ruger OMV's, by the way. They seem perfectly matched, with that rig. Always enjoy the shooter's perspective view. Really draws one into the action. Best cowboy action videos on the 'Net...bar none.
Thanks 😊 You could see it was a bit confusing for me as I don’t use that technique. But, I did legitimately have fun demonstrating it during a stage like that.
Being a stubborn old coot, I'm (still) in the process of fabricating my *own* Western rig from scratch. The belt's done(ish), one holster completed and the other at 25%. Too bad SASS rules don't allow the "Border Shift," because I've finally perfected it. Thanks for the video, Jed!!
I've tried getting ahold of Mernickle about 6 times now. They don't reply to emails, answer their phone, or return calls. I'm not sure if they even can make a holster for my LeMat revolver, so it's pretty hard to convince myself to order from them. I'm about ready to forget about Mernickle honestly.
love my ruger old armies. i have a mernickle shotgun belt from many years ago. love their products.

Thanks for the comment and the compliments! If you look close those are ROA (not the OMV’s) - Ruger’s cap ‘n’ ball revolvers.
Oops! My bad. Thanks for the correction, Jed. You are right. Those are ROA's. What I meant, but fingers didn't co-operate.
Honestly @cal9064 I figured it was a typo. No harm, no foul. 🤠
Excellent demonstration of the features that make a “double strong side” rig work well in competition.

Watching you try to hand off that pistol is almost as fun as watching myself try to shoot gunfighter! :) Nice review! I really like my Mernickle rigs.
It was so awkward for me! Even when I went to put it back I missed the holster because… well, I’m just not used to that. Fun to try it though!

Thanks for the video, Jed!!
You’re welcome. And, I built one of my first rigs for the sport, still have it in fact.
@@JEDiTV Still need to rig up some cartridge belt slides, for 45 Colt AND 12 gauge, LOL! Thanks for the reply and Happy New Year!
Happy New Year @
Very nice rig sir! Thanks and take care!
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Great video! I have several holsters and other gear from Mernickle. They make great gear!
