I wanted to to make a stereotypical fangirl account of Michael Gira, you know the ones that post pictures of the artist like "omg he's sooo-". This reminded me of that. I would've probably committed to it if the idea came when I was younger.
He's a fan of Austrian poet Georg Trakl (1887 - 1914) Whispered Into Afternoon Sun of autumn, thin and shy And fruit drops off the trees, Blue silence fills the peace Of a tardy afternoon’s sky. Death knells forged of metal, And a white beast hits the mire. Brown lasses uncouth choir Dies in leaves’ drifting prattle. Brow of God dreams of hues, Senses madness’ gentle wings. Round the hill wield in rings Black decay and shaded views. Rest and wine in sunset’s gleam, Sad guitars drizzle into night, And to the mellow lamp inside You turn in as in a dream.
Wtf is "european culture" ? 😅 Swedish, Italian, Spanish, French, Belgian, Ducth, German, Danish, Polish, Austrian, Czech, Swiss, Bulgarian, Roumanian, Serb, Croatian, Greek,... cultures or so different from each other.
@@wanneske1969 You pretty much described it. Aside from the arts and music scene which derives most of its influence from abroad much of the German culture native to its location in East Germany has been erased in favour of American, British and Turkish influence. The people can also be a lot more rude and trashy than other parts. Germany for me is Bavaria but I might be biased. Even Dresden paints a nicer picture of the country, beide alt und neustadt.

I appreciate the multitude of clarifications that this is untrue, because this clip wasn't obviously shitposty enough
Well, there are several comments here that show the need for those clarifications
Michael Gira ytp
Very funny! But we all know this is not true.

He used to live in Eastern Europe as a kid and later in Berlin as an adult so I doubt he hates Europe.
Bro, he didn't say ANYTHING, did you watch the video? Lol
living in Berlin would absolutely make me hate Europe if it was my only experience lol
Why's that ? I visited Berlin a lot from 2013-2016 but I find it too touristy and too many hipsters :-). Apart from that I liked it.@@GayvonFartin

It seems like English is the second language in Berlin. It's getting more popular with ex-pats, even more than London@@GayvonFartin
