Booked Ramada, Oxford from Japan, 14 days in June 2023. Every day the room rate (priced in US dollars) was different, ranging from US$44.78 to US$165.59, totalling US$1,139.30 for 14 days. However, there was a hidden charge totalling US$663.18 for "Tax Recovery Charges & Service Fees". Was only in UK to remit funds from an account that Barclays Bank had arbitrarily closed. This will my last trip to UK, at least for this life, it's just too expensive and poor value for money. Compare with Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam where "all taxes and fees included" for hotels which can be as low as 1,000 yen (Stg.5.40)/person a night. A room at the 4-star Hotel Continental (where Graham Green wrote The Quiet American) is Stg.64.00 a night. South and Southeast Asia, expensive to get to (from UK) but way cheaper after you arrive.

I've stayed at Ramada Oxford in 2018, but no way does it deserve a 4-star ranking. That said, the bus service is convenient for Oxford, Thame, Aylesbury ... East European staff are above average.

It’s a tiny room with 2 bikes and baby weights up to 5kg. Not an actual gym for those who are expecting it.
