The job of cleaning up the lawn and trash may have seemed insurmountable to the homeowner, but seeing someone take the time to get everything cleaned up may provide the impetus to keeping the lawn maintained going forward.

You know, some people don't have the physical ability even to drag trash to the curb. And unfortunately, some people will take advantage of a ratty looking property to toss their garbage in. Imagine how this feels to the person stuck inside. Immobile. Sick feeling but unable to do anything about it.
Put that in your self-righteous pipe and smoke it.

Actually I can answer that. We have someone on our block who is very depressed and has been for a long time. Neighbors tried to talk to her and even started helping her but each time she said thank you she started complaining about something. Things like that the bush she liked is not full enough or the fence they fixed now doesn't look the same etc... The most recent cleanup was done by a few husbands and they removed the vines that were creeping under the eaves. She now complains that she hears wind. So guess what, everyone just stopped cleaning up and will let the town deal with her. Not worth the risk anymore.

You you tubers have opened my eyes to what someone might be experiencing a tough time in their life to neglect their yard and home. So if we can just extend our helping hand to a neighbor, it speaks volumes to our community to pay it forward and help someone to breathe new life into the individual experiencing a tough time to make it better for them and get them through this difficult time of their lives. Thank you for being that person to shed light on this matter. 🙏

Oh Boy, It's Monday !! Another episode of the Mad Stockman. (while I wait for our laundry room to be opened) Let's see what our intrepid Mad Man is up to this week. Let's GOOOOO !!
We could use a firepit in Montreal at 10 am Monday morning. it is quite cold today !! Ah, he got the bag hanging in the tree !! It's the little things, right ??
The Stockman and I are on the same page. I was thinking "Pressure Washer" as in, wouldn't it be nice if he pressure washed the back area. AND HE DID IT !!! Bonus Points for the Stockman.
Ah, the little white house is refreshed. Hopefully with the "outside space" cleaned up it will bring a little joy to the "Inside space. " And maybe both will be refreshed as well.
And there is a gnarly old Century tree out front keeping watch over the property. If that tree could talk !!!
Thank you for joining us this Monday morning for the Mad Stockman show - Feel Good Clean Up. Y'all come back now, hear !!!

I don't know what it is, but I Love To Watch the edging portion of these videos. Also, when neighbors stop by and thank you for what you're doing. I know it has to mean a lot to you as well. Keep up the good work. And thanks for what you do for not only the communities, but for all of the viewers as well.

This was a massive disaster, that would have discouraged most volunteers , but NOT Midlife. Your approach is admirable: not judging, always with a smile on your face, even facing the worst situations, hard worker, taking care of the details, leaving all clean and neat. You are steadily climbing the peak of our favourite yard transformers !

Thank you for being a blessing to those in need within your community. Might I make a suggestion. With warmer weather coming our way wearing a lighter color will help keep you cooler. Also a hat retains a lot of body heat. I know wearing g long sleeves & pants helps to protect you while working. Not only from brush, debris begin kicked up but also any bugs. Maybe a breathable good would help. Glad you are stayed hydrated & fueled up. Always important. ❤. Stay safe

Amazing amount of work and such a transformation. I hope the homeowners enjoy it and perhaps will keep it up a bit. That said, no one chooses to live like this and it’s likely a symptom of something. We have a neighbour like this and I swear she doesn’t even see her place as messy even though it actually smells like a landfill. She is a kind and competent person otherwise.

Nicely done. In California, when I lived there, my lawn person quit and my yard got away from me. I got ugly looks from one neighbor, and fines from the city. I get the feeling the owner's are elderly, so big kudos for helping them.

When I was growing up, if one of the neighbors needed help. Everybody would help. We lived in a house that needed painted like one you are showing. I remember one time my Dad was outside on a Saturday painting, and here came 3 of neighbors to help. At the end of the day, it was finished. Then, the women had cooked, and we all ate together. I wish everyone had neighbors like that nowadays. I guess dreaming. The love of good neighbors.

You helped them to feel better about where they live and that there is hope for all things are possible. You not only help the neighbors in these communities but you are helping to start of movement of WE - Me and YOU. That is so needed in a world full of ME. May God continue to bless the great work that you do, and continue to bless your family as well.
