Until now, February 2024, I still listen to this SONG! and I LOVE IT SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH the sensation that comes to my mind, heart and soul is a mix of peace, despair, solitude and love. I've never watched Tsubasa but this song brings the infinite power that music has to make our feeling flow in such way that no otrher thing can do.
Emilie Viens Pretty sure all of the Clamp series enjoyed a lot of success over the years. Tsubasa should've been one of the more famous ones along with Holic and Cardcaptor Sakura.
The point is that the serie, while it was aiming for the 15-19 years old, actually had a lot more success with the 11-15 years old. So when the serie suddenly got dark over the time, younger readers were kind of lost while mature readers were mostly not appealed to the serie to begin with, making the serie go downside. I love this serie, but I kind of understand thinking 'Eh, what if One Piece suddenly turned into Akira I think the 12 years old would be wtf'
@Enthusiastic Reader I feel that the whole thing of the clones was to have a 'plot twist', but to me it ended ruining the series. Besides, Fay's story was too good, it's a wonderful character with a deep backstory, but it has so much wasted potential. The whole thing of the vampire stuff and him giving up his magic was just qn excuse to not show us his true power. So much talking of how powerfull he was and stuff, but in the end he barely showed something. So dissappointing. But, CLAMP isn't the best when it's about storytelling.

Honestly I think CLAMP just wanted to make something completely unexpected and tainted CCS along the way. Apparently, when interviewed just after finishing the series, even they couldn't fully explain how Tsubasa's plot worked, and said they'd need to reread to remember.

Can't believe it's been 14 years since this was uploaded, now I have 30 years... Still a masterpiece. I'm about to cry, how the life past so quickly... The same feeling, the same shivers that I had when I listened this song as a teenager. Tsubasa is one of the first anime series that I've watched, the soundtrack was one of the main reasons why I liked this anime so much at that time.
I remember listening to this during the early days of YT.... If it ever got taken down , it's like losing the Checkpoint of the internet for some people.
I like the portion of the music from 2:09 to 2:57. Simply because it is a bridge that is contrasting (somber and hopeful) of the main theme (chaotic, dire and turmoil) and builds the momentum back to the original theme. It also expresses the adventures of Tsubasa Chronicles that despite all the troubles and adversities of Syaoran and his friends have been through, everything will turn out to be ok after they weather through the storm, as the storm subsides eventually.
I always have been fan of this anime's opening. Who agrees that anime quality has been grander in the past than nowadays anime? It is June 2024 and I wonder if anyone still interested into mystical animations like me.

Ah man, this is so nostalgic. I still remember being confused watching this on Animax with Indovision, seeing it says "Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle" but it features older Syaoran and Sakura instead of Tsubasa Oozara of Captain Tsubasa.
I really like this song! Tsubasa is one of my favorite animes. I first read the manga at school and loved it (even though the plot twist confused me at some points). I then watched the all of the episodes. In my Junior year, I reread the series again for a second time, and I introduced it to a friend, who loved it also. Now, I'm rereading the series again, but this time, I am reading my own books, for I am working on getting the whole set. I am also working on getting the episodes on DVD too. (I am a little disappointed that they didn't finish the anime though, because the anime stopped around Volume 23, and didn't give you Fai's back story.) I recommend Tsubasa to anyone who wants a great story for a manga/anime. Just... Be ready for the plot twist that will eventually surface.
Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle - a masterpiece manga. Unfortunately the anime failed, it contained many fillers. NHK wanted the anime to continue to be family, while the original mangacs "Clamp", insisted on adapting the manga episodes, where there was drama and blood. In the end - the anime was never finished. Production I.G released ova’s Tsubasa: Tokyo Revelations, Tsubasa: Shunraiki. The animation and visual style were significantly improved. My dream is to reboot the anime with a complete manga adaptation. I’m afraid for the color palette, modern anime is made with white, which I do not like. Keep the soundtracks, they’re awesome, record only new openings, endings.

I was not aware of this show's existence till just a few years ago (despite what an anime nut I was in Highschool, 2006-2010), but it's the closest it comes to "making me feel like a kid again" in my late 20s.
I love this masterpiece!!!..But at the same time it makes me sad when I remember Shaoran's and Sakura's pain and for whose to understand Clamps's mind, de know they both will never be together, the other way around, they will always have a tragic ending

I wish TRC got a remake, because the manga deserved a better anime adaption. It will always be one of my favourites. And Yuki Kajiura has been one of my favourite composers ever since I first watched TRC.

I really liked this anime....I just got really confused, and then I read a synopsis and got even more confused... But, I'll always remember the first episode with the journey from the three different worlds. It was always so memorable for me that I was disappointed when this music didn't play more often.
This theme also played in episode 18 of the anime. Yahiko stole kenshin's sword, and when kenshin got in trouble, yahiko rushed to return it, apologized, kenshin forgave him, and hugged Yahiko when started to cry. Great scene!

I love this masterpiece!!!..But at the same time it makes me sad when I remember Shaoran's and Sakura's pain and for whose to understand Clamps's mind, de know they both will never be together, the other way around, they will always have a tragic ending
Actually didn’t the manga series finally come to an end and they were both together?
@@MeimoonsYes and no. Syaoran is forced to keep travelling around and Sakura can't join him in his travels. They only can see each other when he drops by occasionally.
Yuki Kajura is PURE genius! And Tsubasa is a wonderful series through and through. But, the manga is the best
I wish TRC got a remake, because the manga deserved a better anime adaption. It will always be one of my favourites. And Yuki Kajiura has been one of my favourite composers ever since I first watched TRC.

I really liked this anime....I just got really confused, and then I read a synopsis and got even more confused...
But, I'll always remember the first episode with the journey from the three different worlds. It was always so memorable for me that I was disappointed when this music didn't play more often.

This theme also played in episode 18 of the anime. Yahiko stole kenshin's sword, and when kenshin got in trouble, yahiko rushed to return it, apologized, kenshin forgave him, and hugged Yahiko when started to cry. Great scene!
