I am 24 now and came back to watch this in 2023. I remember first watching this back in my middle schools years in absolute awe. I still am very much in love with this performance :’)
Our childhood is never over, in our adult lives we are so caught up in the future. We always do things in preparation for the future and never allow ourselves to live in the present. We have to prepare to retire so we can't buy a violin and learn to play as it won't get us closer to our retirement goals. We don't have enough time to take up foreign language classes because our time would be better spent taking up overtime at our jobs. We fear the future when we become adults. We can't slow down time so we prepare for the ever encroaching event, when we are too old to work and what ever money we have is all that we will ever get, living out our final days. It's in those final days we look back and regret our preparation. Giving up experiences and skills. Because even though we have all this money, we have very little time to enjoy it. Adult hood gives our childhood selves the opportunity to act on impulse and do the things our parents wouldn't support with their own money. But the real curse of adulthood is the ever looming fear of our own mortality.

At the same time tho, I must say, the human experience is pretty different once you find Jesus (or rather, when one gives Him permission/allows Him to find you), truly. Ha, at least in my belief, no intent to push that on you, just felt like sharing. ~

Yuki Kajiura is a god, I swear. I could worship her. Her music rocks. Tsubasa shall forever remain on my playlist :] And *this* is just plain awesome. I wish I played an instrument (properly) so I could play this for myself all the time. I've actually figured out a bit of it out on piano...

This song is so EPIC!!! Even without the vocals it sounds awesome. When I started watching Tsubasa, this song really made me lean forward on my seat and get into the action.

TRC is literally my childhood and listening to this in 2023 really takes me down memory lane. One of the greatest rendition on the masterpiece.
