I really want an anime series that does this manga justice. The soundtrack was epic, but I demand to have a whole anime remake!! Kind of like what they are doing with Fruits Basket. What can we do to make this actually happen?? 😭😭
This is one of those haunting songs that accompany an equally haunting story that deals with the existential question of who we are and why we exist. It's a story about falling in love... and redeeming that love even when some part of ourselves is unknown even to ourselves. Though Tsubasa is a spin off of the successful titles under Clamp back then, featuring Sakura and Syaoran from Cardcaptor Sakura, it's an interesting twist of what happens when some part of ourselves live in a parallel universe where sacrifice and true love are just not enough anymore...
When Clone sakura disappears without being able to finish her words to clone Shaoran really struck my heart. *Spoiler:*In the manga,Clone Syaoran helps real Syaoran kill Fei Wong,though it was just an impostor and not the real Fei Wong, resulting for the clone to die. Syaoran ask "Why...did you..." and the clone reply " Because I wanted...to know what came next...the words...I didn't get the chance...to hear...back then."
Think about this: Clone Syoaran uses fire with his sword all the time. That is like his element. Real Syaoran uses a LOT of Lightning with his sword fighting (along with wind and water and fire just like CCS Syaoran) Lightning=storm Fire=fire Song of Storm and Fire Yeah, I had the revelation the other day and was like "Oh snap!"

Es uno de mis mangas favoritos, el anime y la BSO. Es todo exquisito, efectivamente. Y me da mucha rabia por lo infravalorado que está y lo poco conocido que es.
I only like the ova movies because they actually follow the manga unlike a lot of the main series. A reboot thats actually accurate would be amazing! This series holds a very special place in my heart along with code geass!
This could've been one of the best anime series in history. It's truly a tragedy that we'll never be able to see this masterpiece completed. (Edit) a few months ago I found a website that had 53 episodes of the very beginning of tsubasa. But it didn't get to the real beef of the story where kurogane loses his arm, and the clone stuff goes down. I only remember bits and pieces of the manga, so I wish I could just binge read the entire series, but I cant find it anywhere.

It was just amazing! All the damn feels! You matched the music perfectly. All the flashbacks about Sakura were in the right places! Maybe the best AMV I have ever seen! I loved it so much!

The twist is not just that the main characters from beginning of the show are clones. It's that the original are both named Tsubasa. Plus, og Tsubasa are the son of Cardcaptor Sakura and Cardcaptor Xiao Ran. Kimihiro Watanuki has been implied to be son of the clone Sakura and Shaoran, which is why Yuuko said he's someone that shouldn't exist.
Almost true. Li Tsubasa is the son of the clones. Watanuki Kimihiro IS Tsubasa, or his parallel existence to take his position in space time as he was held captive after turning back time. Kimihiro's name and appearance was altered by his parents to protect him from Fei Wang Reed; he forgets about his real identity since that's his price for locating Sakura. The CCS Sakura only appeared in Tsubasa to give clone Sakura her wand.
