if not for the excessive fanservice, i wouldve recommend it to my family. too bad. i know some people would defend it, but it's not proper to be recommended to many people. i cant imagine recommending this to my friends and family. too bad since the story, machines, songs, are good

After getting a bit nostalgic, did a rewatch of the full 25 chapters. Worth every minute. This is the one anime full of fanservice that I can proudly say with a straight face that I watch it for the plot!
Honestly all the plot with Embryo is explaining why the ecchi is necessary and almost a response to his oppression trough mana. So yeah, when fanservice is actually helpfull to the plot, i really love it :)
Ange's mother had a kind heart for a queen. Look how happy Sophia and Jurai were 2:09 Vivian's mom was missing her the whole time unlike Hilda's. Look how happy Vivian and her mom Lamia are after that space time storm was stopped 2:02 Juilo's quest for power was what stared tearing Ange's family apart.
In this show, It was too late to fix the families of the Norma. Vivian's relationship with her mother was nothing like what Hilda went though her own mother. Ange's brother ruined her family after he power hungry.
Her mother and father were probably kind because they realized Ange's supposed genetic defect... Her brother even seemed kind. Thing is he found out her secret quite late rather than knowing it the whole time. You can also see the change in her sister.
Julio wanted the throne for himself after he exposed Ange. He was pure evil. Embryo destroyed for treason. His death left the empire without a rightful emperor until Ange's sister took the throne. Julio will answering his misdeeds with the Grim reaper. Satan: Former Emperor Julio, your actions got you here. Julio: No no no no. That creature should be here. Not me. I belong in the Empire. Embryo! He betrayed me.
When ange's sings it's gives me goosebumps for some reason..... Truly I will love to see her singing the whole dragon song for 2-3 mins...... And this is the most underrated anime man and I know the reason bcoz people quit it at 4-5 episodes as it's a slow paced anime but tbh man after 7-8 episodes it touches peak, every episode we got a plot that hits different

I remember watching this back in 2015 and I loved the music and had managed to find a copy of it online to listen to, but eventually I forgot about it until I found the song again a few days ago and listened to it again, and I gotta say I still love the song yet because the vocals are still beautiful to this day with not many coming close to it in my mind as it evokes many different feelings.
SRW V or X? I'd definitely recommend looking up other music from Cross Ange's soundtrack, even if you never watch the actual show itself (though I'd definitely recommend that too, it may not be the *greatest* Mecha ever or anything, but it's definitely a fun 24ish episodes), as every bit of the soundtrack is absolutely phenomenal.
@@ancientphoenix1585 Nice, SRW 30 is the only one available on Steam (which I picked up tonight...and Steam discounts are indeed quite crazy, as I was quite pleasantly surprised to find 30 and all of its DLC were about half price, so naturally I snagged all that) where I live, so I just imported the Switch versions of V and X. V I finally finished last week and I just started X the other day, and it's definitely good...but I think I liked V more and so far at least I feel like it has the better story. We'll see how X ultimately goes, it'll probably do a lot of growing on me by the end, but V will probably always be my preference of those two.

They could've ended up with each other.. sigh, I remember watching this show as it aired hoping these two will get together in the end. On a side note, Horie Yui and Mizuki Nana's voices are beautiful. I'm so glad I suddenly remembered this series today. It's my first time hearing the full version of this song.
the songs in the anime are great and so is this one though it's not actually the full song but it's a remix of songs taken from all over the anime, it can clearly be heard at the beginning and end but it's definitely an amazing work of art this remix because it doesn't make the originals sound worse even though they're amazing to begin with

It’s like a mix of the things that shouldn’t go together, but they do. The plot is awesome, there is no filler ep, the animation is so much better than shows nowadays, plus the ost is top tier, even characters have so much depth. Plus this is the first anime where they don’t make the mcs go through so many phases to realise they are in love (minus the part where tusk is always in ange’s pants) and they actually end up together 🫡 I only had prob with the unnecessary fan service. But still, I would say it with a straight face this is a great original anime.

I love the songs and how they were done throughout the anime. I don't know why I put off watching this one for so long. On another note, Ange makes me think this anime is a favorite of My Dressup Darling's creator.

i just finished all of these episodes in one day and tbh that bitch made me cry over nothing and i loved it so much what a great ending and i loved the song. I spent all of new years eve watching and i ended it on new years day at 3 am happy 2020!!!
Every time I hear both parts of "The True Star Song" I want to rewatch this anime. Anime name: Cross Ange Rondo of Angels and Dragons. Kaze no uta "Salamandinay" Yui Horie. Hikari no uta "Angelise" Nana Mizuki.
I find this song to be entertaining because it gives the hint that Ange has a strong and commanding singing voice that Salamandy can only be her backup singer.
A little difficult, because the manga differs in the final stretch (Ange and Sally end up together, for example)... although in the final sequences with their kiss and how they look at each other in the final photo it leaves it somewhat ambiguous

Why would they do that? The show had a good beginning and end already, and they already killed the one man responsible for all of the problems, the one man who tried to play God. I know this post is already over a year old, but they don't need any new episodes for a show that is already perfection. It wasn't written out to be lengthy with pointless exposition, or have multiple chapters like other anime shows. It was a show that had it's beginning, it's middle, and end all in one season. It did what it set out to do, it told a story, and as all good stories do, came to a fitting end.
I have seen some people mention a slice of life ova with Cafe ange could work beyond that though like many great anime a second season just wouldn't be possible
Ange's machine Villkiss has the power to rival Voltron. Salamandinay's machine has the power to do the same. There's more Gundam anime shows then show like this.

Praying for 2nd season to happen because I enjoyed watching it and great story, character development, and character design
A little difficult, because the manga differs in the final stretch (Ange and Sally end up together, for example)... although in the final sequences with their kiss and how they look at each other in the final photo it leaves it somewhat ambiguous

#BestAnime Wish they made 2nd season or more episodes
Why would they do that? The show had a good beginning and end already, and they already killed the one man responsible for all of the problems, the one man who tried to play God. I know this post is already over a year old, but they don't need any new episodes for a show that is already perfection. It wasn't written out to be lengthy with pointless exposition, or have multiple chapters like other anime shows. It was a show that had it's beginning, it's middle, and end all in one season. It did what it set out to do, it told a story, and as all good stories do, came to a fitting end.

I have seen some people mention a slice of life ova with Cafe ange could work beyond that though like many great anime a second season just wouldn't be possible
