The only intro in the series I NEVER skip. Sometimes I even let it replay. It’s easily the best intro in the series IMO.
Really wish Sega included this in the Yakuza Remastered collection. It wasn't a favorite of mine, but with some Quality of Life updates, I think it Dead Souls could (ironically) benefit from a second life.
If they did add all the spin offs, it's name would be: The Yakuza Spin Off Collection!
QOL features like a higher frame rate

@@thedragonofdismashqperfect, it would be just like the trilogy remastered collection. the spin off collection would include Ryu Ga Gotoku: Kenzan!, Yakuza: Dead Souls, and Ryu Ga Gotoku: Ishin! I’d pay for it tbh even though I’ve played ishin kiwami I’d buy a spin off collection just to be able to finally play dead souls and kenzan.

This might be a"meh but enjoyable" game BUT DAM THE INTRO SONG IS BEAUTIFUL
It's a really fun game. The story is very fun and the gameplay too is alright. I really respect dead souls for trying something different. And it really was really fun for me at least.
The rare instant when the localized intro music is better than the Japanese intro.
Real Yakuza doesn´t skip this Intro
I won't say this game is a failure although Metacritic give this 54. Sega did their best to change the game mechanic a bit after saw Resident Evil 5's success at that time. Seeing those legendary characters firing weapon at zombies are just something else.
Fun fact the guy who directed dead souls is the same who directed the judgement games

Bro specialized critics are so useless, people gave a 91% of likes, the game was really good and if they gave this one a remaster, it could be a boom
Love how RGG took some concepts from Dead Rising, Resident Evil and (yes) Parasite Eve.
I 100%ed this game three times. I have never done that to another yakuza game. Even though I’ve played all the others on the PlayStation. So I think it’s a good game and hope you have fun with it.
Now if only there was a 100% playthrough/walkthrough/let's play or longplay that existed of this game on RUclips
Now I can finally get to play this game again after so long
If they make a remaster of this, and they keep this in, then I'm claiming this the official best spin off game in history
