I have mastered rotoscoping.
It took a while to figure the specifics out (after many experiments with matting, I gave up on that route, but I'd still like to thank @HalcyonMusic for showing me difference mattes in the first place, because that led me to rotoscoping lmfao), but I can finally have my hands ABOVE the falling effects. If I had anything less than my current PC, I don't think it would have been possible since the processing alone is very heavy (like, I'm seriously thinking of moving to 64GB RAM because 32 isn't enough). I think it ended up looking pretty good if you don't look too closely, so it's a win!
About the arrangement: I've not played piano in over a month, and this was kind of a little warmup to motivate me back into playing piano again, so please excuse the lack of length. While I have not been physically playing, I have been listening to more and more music of all kinds, and I feel like that alone has improved my ability to come up with a much greater variety of musical ideas when arranging in my head than ever before. And sitting at the piano yesterday, I felt like even my physical playing ability has improved as an extension, without practice. Imagine that!
This is a nice, albeit boring song from Higedan that I can play without much thought, but I still decided to spice it up a bit by introducing some extra rhythms, bolder techniques, and more interesting reharmonizations. This is also the first time I'm using a new VST I got recently, so tell me how it sounds! I still like my usual CinePiano for general playing, but this 8-microphone VST does particularly well (response-wise) with more articulate songs like this one.
Anyways, I am INCREDIBLY hyped for Spy x Family on April 9th! If the rest of the opening is decent, I might cover it, but I know I will cover the OST if it's as good as the jazz tracks that have appeared in the older trailers!

Hi i saw some older vids of yours and noticed that you are still using this same piano. It sounds really nice and I would like to know what its called. Im looking to buy a new piano and would also like to get some suggestions from you. I dont have a laptop or anything special that I can use to amplify the sound of a piano but im hoping that the one u are using doesn't need that to sound good.
@@Sloomymoon So I use something called VST to replace the stock sounds in my piano (CASIO PX-160 btw). The stock sounds are actually very nice, but I would highly recommend you look into VST tech when you get a computer, because that just opens up a whole new world of opportunities to sculpt out a desired sound.
@@HayashiStudios ok thanks for the info(: and just one more thing i wanted to ask. Does the casio px-160 have a reverb option to carry the notes out?
@@Sloomymoon Yep! Not a super strong reverb, but there are 4 levels.
@@HayashiStudios oh ok i see. I just looked up reviews and heard the px-160 vs the px-s1000 and i think i might get the 1000. Sounds really authentic and good reverb.

Great cover and great rotoscoping! Also, I was wondering what is your method for arranging music? Do you just come up with the note patterns immediately or is there some sort of a formula you always follow? I am trying to get better but when I try to make covers it takes me like a month.

Usually, I would figure out the chord progressions along with the melody, and build an arrangement from there by adding different colors/techniques. There's not really a set way; I just do what I like. It's pretty difficult to explain everything, but you can always ask me on my Discord server questions about arranging!
