Yeah, sorry, the thumbnail is actually clickbait this time; I didn't bother to actually meld the piano visualizer with my footage in the main video. However, I did include a synthesia tutorial at the end for the first time in channel history. What do you think? Should I make the cover and the tutorial separate videos or keep it as one big one? Should I not do the tutorial at all? Tell me what you think down in the comments below.
When I watched Horimiya yesterday and heard this theme towards the end of the episode, I immediately knew this needed to be covered (I'm rooting for you to find the love you deserve, Sakura!). However, I ran into several obstacles during the process:
1. I had no idea how to arrange the part where the strings in the background had their own fast rhythm...rather, how to incorporate them into the arrangement along with the main theme. I'm pretty basic, so I think I would have just dropped it in favor of keeping the main melody, but these were so prominent that it seemed to be a sin to leave them out of the entire arrangement. Plus, I've got higher standards these days, lmfao.
2. I'm also not technically good enough to play what I had originally imagined how this section would have been played on piano, nor was my stamina very high during practicing different ways of playing this piece. I decided to compromise and play some of it like I imagined (that section starts on 0:52), but then transition to my usual "embrace the bass" kind of arrangement. Unfortunately, it's not 100% percent accurate, since there were people talking over the audio, but I think it gets the feeling across.
3. The section from 1:41 to 1:52 is something I made up; my ears weren't good enough to pick up exactly what was being played. Hopefully it sounds okay!
Anyways, here's the result. Not the cleanest, but this is the best I can do with my jank hands for now.

I distinctly remember how this theme is played at the end of the final episode; I feel like aniplex chose this not just because it's a beautiful theme, but also to remind us of how not everyone finds a partner. I think it's a bit more than a coincidence that they put Sakura's theme at the end since she's the only major character with romantic motives who remains unfulfilled in the end.
Hoping for Season 2 and more Sakura!
@@HayashiStudios there won't be. There's not much else in the manga besides her having a couple interactions with yanagi I suppose. Either way, they wrapped it up. At the end of the final episodes, the still images were images of manga chapters they skipped out of on the anime.

Now for a comment related to the anime: Even though I’m still shipping Yuki and Tooru, I still feel sad for Sakura for some reason. At least she got it off her chest though.

The female characters in this anime are all amazing!
It's as Sengoku said: "What hurts the most is that nobody is in the wrong."
It's not like there is a villain in this story. Yuki and Sakura are both lovely in their own right.
They are both the kind of person you can't help but root for and their internal struggles are very similar.
But still, for one of them to win, the other must lose and we don't want to see either of them lose.
That makes things very bittersweet.

To be honest, if his initial opinion in the first place was not "I'm not good enough for sakura" or "she's better than me because she's smart" etc. She would have had a chance but he automatically shut her down by making her to be some high protegee she wasn't. I felt bad for sakura as well because she ended up losing to a smaller and objectively prettier girl and her insecurities seemed to have gotten bigger than before because of the situation. I hope she finds someone a million times better than tooru and I know she will! Someone who sees her as beautiful and won't lower themselves and instead hold them both in high regard :(( and anyone else whose been through this, be with someone who not only knows your worth but is willing to except it and love it as well 💕

I liked her for she is the type of character design that I like. Short hair, wearing glass and she has the green color that I love. But then comes her story, slow, sweet, bitter and full of effort and hard-work just to get reject at the end the day. She laughed, smiled and act as if at the end she is fine and unbroken to the whole world just to finally broke down in front of her best friend who she feel safe enough to cry. That screen alone show me the friendship between Sengoku, her love for Toru, her kind heart for not blaming others for her failure, her toughness and weakness. Her color should have been pink for sakura but honestly the green fit her. Her appearance only like the leaf of the tree while she her self is that beautiful and gentle flower that light the whole world when it bloom.

this is a really nice cover … definitely the best episode for me . when this scene started i was already p close to tearing up but when sengoku grabbed her shoulder and she turned around with those eyes i totally lost it. something about that part hurts a lot more than when she breaks down . that part actually almost feels more cathartic than anything to me? idk if that makes sense but either way i think it’s the best scene i’ve seen so far

I've been struggling to get the part at 3:06 for a while and I just now realize you play it with both hands for the octaves, I always thought you switch off from playing octaves to c c# f# to octaves all with your right hand. Finally I'll be able to fully play this now.
