- Not a review, but a brief look at the Kiev, which I think is probably a pretty good ship. New line of Soviet DDs is in early access. You can pick this particular one up by getting lucky with crate RNG. But if you want to take the Path of Wisdom, save your doubloons and grind this line for free in the next update.

Thanks for this look at the Kiev! For the first time since WG has sold early access crates I haven't bought any yet. Probably will but if not I can grind them later. Still support the game monetarily because I love it, but recently started a new job and keeping a tighter grip on my billfold. Enjoyed watching!
Lucked into this ship from a crate earned in missions. I really like it.
I do like this ship on the whole and had mixed games in it. Very bad concealment and low HP mean its not an easy ship to play. The heals do help a little if you get a chance to use both of them, because you seem to take damage very easily if you get hit. Using sims helps. I found the ship struggles against any gun boats and many tier 7 DDs. Looking forward to the other members of the line.
I’d like to hear your thoughts on the Boevoi at T5. I got the Boevoi and the Soobrazitelny right away in campaign crates. The Soob is an easy play but I’m having a rough time in the Boe. Bad detection and I’m not getting a lot of practicality from the 2*2 gun layout. Both are fully upgraded, but honestly I’d rather play bottom tier in the Soob than top tier in the Boe. FWIW, my Trubetskoy doesn’t have a lot of promotion orders invested in him yet. The Russians are the last nation I’m grinding.

Burned all my RNG for this month... pulled all three outta the boxes from the campaign, in the "small" crates no less 😅
Honestly, these new boats are really growing on me, especially after upgrading em. Getting alot more consistent results than with the other line (which may be more reflective of my playstyle). BTW, Udaloi looks kinda nuts... turret rotation unbuffed is 9 seconds to 180 degrees. Imagine with T&T it'll get close to Fletcher fast...
