My go to lure for trout in the winter is a lipped jerk bait that suspends in 2-6ft of water. You can work them painfully slow but they will catch giants.

Hi CA I watch your RUclips channel all the time, I seen in some of your videos about the buzbe tackle storage boxes that you liked so i ordered 4 boxes and as you know they are pretty expensive but that’s okay because they are very well built. The problem is they would not fix in my Plano 3700 guide series bay so I returned them the same day and followed their return policy to the tee, the boxes were still in the plastic covers that they came in. I paid for return shipping which cost another 20$. When I returned them I received a tracking number for my return, they received the boxes on 11/23 and thought they would have at least returned one of the 3 emails I sent in regards to the refund but nothing. I know you prompt their product on your channel so maybe you could help in the issue with their customer support. If I thought that I was going to loose my 150$ and send them the boxes and loose them as well I would have kept them and found some kind of use for them. I am not sure you are aware of these issues with them but I thought you would want to know that the company you support is not doing their business and sponsors any good. Thanks for all the content you do on inshore artificial bait fishing.

CA you definitely know what you’re talking about with inshore fishing. Can you do a video on why you use the treble hooks instead of inline single hooks. It just seems like the trebles always hook the gills/eyes/ head with the second hook. I’m just curious and if there’s a reason why. Thanks sir

I can’t remember the title but he has at least one video discussing this. I believe he uses both types of hooks depending on context

It seems like the trout are gone from my area around the Chesapeake Bay. There are still rat reds and that's about it. I don't know for sure because it's my first winter here, but I've heard the trout went south.

It has a proprietary double spike pin that holds it snugly in the Elaztech

Why were you not using in line hooks

I do prefer inline hooks as well but I know on some lures like the Paul brown ones, supposedly they don’t dance the same but I can’t confirm nor deny said claim.

Ca normally throws inlines when he's trying to avoid floating grass or any other floating debris.
He normally pinches down the barb on his treble hooks though.
This is what I do as well

@@flatsclasscharters yeah but I Mean common courtesy would of been to at least get as far over as possible and not anchor down within yards either. Gotta love when people see you catching fish. Stops them dead in their tracks.
I've taught my nephew when we're fighting a fish to drop the rod tip as low to the water , reel slow but not to slow so the line to slack off and allow the person / people to go past works about 95% of the time. We also white lie when people ask " any luck or catch anything " we just say " jacks and or ladyfish " 😂

You really want to take your channel to the next level CA? Quit only talking about Shimano, Mirrolure, Zman and Yeti. Be willing to talk about new products from all brands. To act like Penn or Daiwa for example doesn't have amazing products is foolish!
