  • President Joe Biden has slapped major new tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles, advanced batteries, solar cells, steel, aluminium and medical equipment, taking potshots at Donald Trump along the way as he embraced a strategy that’s increasing friction between the world’s two largest economies.
Al Jazeera’s White House correspondent Kimberly Halkett reports from Washington DC.

The usa wants the world to buy form them to fight climate change. They didn't expect China to be the leader in green energy. Now they (and the EU) are doing everything they can to stop the world from fighting climate change because the usa is losing the the green energy lead.
In the end, it is the average american and European consumers that will suffer under all of these tariffs. It means higher prices on all green energy products.
