Hey how much was a ride to the lake and back to the city? And do you think it's a good idea to get a rental car or is that probably a bad idea for a solo 4 day trip?...I want to get to the lake, but I've never been to Guatemala
It was $25 one way to Antigua. I had my old Spanish teacher send her cousin who is an Uber Driver. I think you can type it on the Uber app from home and figure out the cost. I wouldn't want to drive from Guatemala City to Antigua. It's hectic. Do you mean Lake Atitlán because I had to go to Antigua then catch a transport to Atitlán. The transport was about $20. I don´t know about a direct trip to Atitlán. By the way once you are in Antigua or at the lake, it´s easy to get around by walking. The town at Atitlán have Tuk Tuk you can hire to get you around, but I walked most of the time
Mike! Hola, hey sir I loved your video and the dialogue you shared with the car driver. I liked her mention of God at the beginning of your video, I remember the faith in God so many in Guatemala had when I traveled there many times years ago! How long was your visit and how did it go? Please respond,
I saw a few churches, Cerro de la Cruz, Cerro Sancristobal, Cerro Santa Domingo, I walked in much of the city for a week. I spent some time just sitting at La Merced church talking to vendors there. Hours actually during several days practicing Spanish.
I was a little nervous. I had to meet all these people for the first time and speak to everyone in Spanish. I hope I can return this year. It was a great trip.
I go to guatemala requiredment
Welcome 👍
