Late to the party with the picture uploads but you guys are who I listen to whilst on long drives or whilst cooking/washing up in my kitchen. Thank you for bringing me years of joy.
You can tell when you have matured a bit when you watched the Yogscast when you were young and now you're old enough to be intrigued by these types of conversations. Jeez, I love this stuff. I think most people who listen to podcasts are mature enough to sit and listen.
The Arecibo Message was a coded message beamed into space from the Arecibo radio scope: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arecibo_message You're thinking of Voyager's (literally) Golden Record, which has samples of Earth sounds: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voyager_Golden_Record Famously, EMI declined to give the rights to The Beatles to appear on the record. Copyright's a bitch sometimes-The Beatles are forever a strictly Earth-based treasure.
The Numbertaker (Lewis Brindley) is a live-action human character (with an exaggerated top hat and a white robe, based on an undertaker). He is also the only meanie to be a human. He causes trouble by taking numbers, children and “numbers of things”; as numbers themselves, the Numberjacks have to be particularly careful when dealing with him. The sleeves of his long white jacket on either side hide various attachments - a vacuum cleaner, an automatic picker, a net, a magnet, a long pole, a hook, and sometimes just his own hands. He neither speaks in any of his appearances, nor smiles much either. He only makes sounds.
I don't think Lew lew watched free solo... The relationship between the camera crew and Alex (the climber) was made very clear. He literally did say he can't do it the first time and put off the project for a while. The thing you don't realise is that he wanted to climb the thing before he even thought of making the movie. They did say they all had a serious talk of if something happens what do they do and that they aren't responsible and so on it was very well thought through and the movie conveys that clearly.
Hilarious at around 8:30 to hear Sips talking about how Take That will be remembered 20 years later. It's already nearly 30 years later and he's still talking about them!
Manufactured bands were everywhere in the 60s. The entire bubblegum pop phenomena of the 60s was pure record label marketing of those types of bands. The best example of this would be sugar sugar by the Archies, A literal fictional band, or the monkeys who were put together for their television show.
I'm curious what Sips thinks about Talking Heads. I just got into them recently and they've instantly become one of my favorites! Also, if you listen to music that you haven't heard it's still new to your brain, just because it's old doesn't make it any less of an experience.
Fucking love you guys, I've heard all the podcasts and always dig it along with your other content. That said, you guys don't know very much about music. You said it, some people listen to music and some people just put it on in the background. You sirs, have always had it on the background. Cheers lads.
Ship songs into space for Aliens? Final Countdown for sure - maybe some Queen.... BTW I like math, so those YT channels just add to my enjoyment of the subject.
Lewis always says "I've got a digital trainset! I'm worried that I'm turning into like, one of my old friend's dads!" Why worry about it mate? Just enjoy what you enjoy. I offer that advice to everyone.
As an example, The Prodigy were releasing singles that were hitting the top 10 charts at the same time as B'Witched were. I think Pyrion's point is the most accurate and Sips is overlooking some of the great music in the last 20 years that might not really be "pop" but sold big numbers and were in the pop charts, as The Beatles did in their time.
How did none of them realise that it hasn't been two years, but three? Two would mean about one episode a week, and that certainly hasn't been the case.
On the topic of Trans-sports, there was a video on reddit the other day about a Male rapper who beat the womens WR for deadlift while oidentifying as a female to prove the point that just becuase you identify as a female/male doesnt mean you biology/physiology is that of the sex you're identifying as, and that in general men are stronger/faster than women and IIRC the olympic rules just state you have to have a test a year before the event to prove your testosterone has been brought down, which he argued doesnt really even the playing field as bone/muscle structure is different as well as other things.
simple lyrics and a catchy bass line is all a good pop song needs. but that's the thing, the criteria for a good pop song and a good song are definitely different.
23:10 - Oh man, my favorite songs to put on to annoy the wife are “Fat Boys” by Fat Boys and “Titties Bounce” by Gravy Train!!! I’ll have to give Fast Food Rockers a shot.
The arecobo message is different from the voyager records. The arecobo message was a bitmap transmitted by a radio telescope, and the voyager records were the golden records carried by voyager 1 and 2. The arecibo message didn't have audio, the voyager records did. Doesn't really matter, just a slight nitpick.
i was watching kingsman on the inflight entertainment system thing on my flight back from france. i was sitting next to a mother and her child. some of those scenes i felt like maybe i should go back to watching neil tyson or something and just watch it later but i did finish the movie and the mum didnt say anything so whatever. loved that movie too if you were wondering
Pink Floyd, is such a special kind of music. I personally love them, some of their music is just so unique. But I know that a lot of people have I love/hate relationship with them
I don't understand how sips can say that Pink Floyd are boring. They are by far the most interesting band (in my opinion). I feel like if they look up stories about Pink Floyd and interviews and things, and also listen to their albums completely a few times, they will love the Floyd. Especially DSOTM, The Wall, Meddle (Echoes especially), and Wish You Were Here. Absolutely phenomenal albums that I never get bored of.
Sipsyou should try motohead(the first album) and Bad magic(the last album) from Motorhead ,the difference and at the same time the resemblance is fucking amazing
I just have to say -- I still love the spice girls and backstreet boys and nsync and all that BUT my excuse is, that was my first break out of genre as a kid. My mom used to let me listen to nothing but country music because everything else was about sex and drugs and bad habits ( ..yes, there is a lot of irony there ), and then I went to a friend's house and heard backstreet boys playing on her radio and was just like THIS.. THIS IS GOLD. so yeah, it may be bad music, but add a little of that nostalgia seasoning and anything can be grand :D
As a tagnet of the 80s has anyone seen spitting image which was a show in the uk with puppets that took the piss out of the news and everything that hapened in the government at the time.
Shit I'm late but you guys should check out lightyear.fm - it shows how far our radio waves have travelled and, in essence, what songs can be heard from what distances. Because of the speed of light, different years / eras of songs would be farther out than others so going to, for example, Alpha Centuri would probably mean you could hear 1920's music.
Honestly I would suggest reading reading the batman metal series. Its basically an evil version of the justice leauge but they are all alternative batmen they are so good same with under the red hood And of course a batman classic the killing joke
Lmao look at the wiki page for the numbertaker now: The Numbertaker (Lewis Brindley) is a vegan live-action human character (with an exaggerated top hat and a white robe, based on a vegan undertaker).
I think you guys were a little hard on lew lew there at the end considering that pretty recently you made him out to be an overgrown child. Which, is true don't get me wrong. But it's hard to be sympathetic to you two when he gets in a shot of his own, especially since he almost immediately apologized on the show and you guys didn't do the same.
3 years of triforce, it started in 2016

Nope it's 2 years

Close guys. You are 3 years old. Haha
We should send O' Rubber Tree into space ...
And 'Arthas Baby', because Hannah is not allowed to live that down ever.
How about baba yetu sung by Lewis and Sjin?
At this moment 52:01 the chain of events that followed made me laugh harder than I have ever laughed in my life. Love these podcasts guys.
it was so awkward but so funny
It's that perfect moment when you realize which generation is the real snowflakes
Late to the party with the picture uploads but you guys are who I listen to whilst on long drives or whilst cooking/washing up in my kitchen.
Thank you for bringing me years of joy.
Protip: Play the intro at 0.25 speed. Listen to the cacophony of some classic music turned horror music.
if you look up Numbertaker someone changed the actors name to 'Lewis Brindley'
the numbertaker wiki is now just lewis' twitter
The real question I wanna know! Where is BODEGA and what about the book ?
Last I heard pyrion sent The finished book for Lewis to review
Well let's hope they see this one and give us a answer
Did u by it monsieur Rasmus?
@@skrrtle360 yes of course
I get excited every time I see a new Triforce Podcast. Still listen to the old ones all the time, just can´t get enough!

Pflax can roast Lewis as much as he wants but the minute Lewis bites back and Pflax knows exactly how to counter him xD ahah legend
Yep its crazy how years later Pflax still hasn't realized his constant hypocrisy
21:50 Red Hot chili peppers - Rollercoaster (of love)
i think thats the version he's probably thinking of but the original is by the ohio players
52:01 "sometimes its the cheapest shots that trigger you the hardest" - Sips

I feel 'Comfortably Numb' whenever Lewis talks!

The best example of this would be sugar sugar by the Archies, A literal fictional band, or the monkeys who were put together for their television show.
I was driving while listening to this and had to pull over after 21:06 and the baby shark had me in tears from laughing.
Whew, I was worried you guys weren't going to put one out this week.
It's 3 years of triforce! Wow time flies!
I love the fact that P. Flax read a Mister Miracle comic! Mister Miracle is not very popular so I’m excited that Flax discovered it.
Roller coaster of love? Sips is that it? Specifically the RHCP version.
4:02 - Pyrion's Paul McCartney impression
I've literally just started listening to the beatles for the first time in my life too in the past week. Weird coincidence.
Pflax: "I got caught speeding twice..."
Me: "What was that documentary about that Pflax wanted to talk about?"
This channel is like an unvaccinated child. It has a high chance of death after the age of 3
Not going to lie I thought it would've died before it's first year
this comment chain has everything
Such low faith
Ohhhhhh I loved the banter at the end.... Laughing my ass off
when you embrace pop music esp modern pop your life really just becomes better! its not a bad genre you just have to look for the good stuff!
Any specifics?

That Paul McCartney quote was made up in a game show btw guys, Ringo wasn't the worlds best drummer but fitted in perfectly with the songs

Holy shit, this is my favourite episode. So much 90s.
Ship songs into space for Aliens? Final Countdown for sure - maybe some Queen....
BTW I like math, so those YT channels just add to my enjoyment of the subject.
Definitely would recommend a spectrum.
Classical music, opera, rock, blues, country, every single genre should be in there.
Lewis always says "I've got a digital trainset! I'm worried that I'm turning into like, one of my old friend's dads!"
Why worry about it mate? Just enjoy what you enjoy. I offer that advice to everyone.
I listen to your podcast high and I just want to say it's fucking funny as shit, keep up the good work lads
Is this about what I think it is? Best episode yet and I've not even fully listened
Someone edited the numbertakers name to Lewis Brindley when I checked it, nice
As an example, The Prodigy were releasing singles that were hitting the top 10 charts at the same time as B'Witched were. Comfortably Numb is my number one music piece of all time, so props to Pyrion ^^
One of my favorite songs by Pink Floyd too

23:13 Lewis sounding like a dying Dark Souls boss
Wow, Number Jacks is still on? I used to watch that almost 15 years ago.
I still only listen to dance music from the 90s, anything after 1999 I couldn't tell you about
What a bombshell of an ending! Pyrion, be safe!
Poor Lewis always getting talked over, no one listens to him. I would listen to you Lewis, buddy. I would listen.
He has nothing to say lol
Watch his streams... when Lewis is allowed to talk it gets cringey... PFlax and Sips are saving us.
Number taker is now played by Lewis Brindley apparently
23:10 - Oh man, my favorite songs to put on to annoy the wife are “Fat Boys” by Fat Boys and “Titties Bounce” by Gravy Train!!! I’ll have to give Fast Food Rockers a shot.

Sipsy watch The Dawn Wall - not a rock climber , but it's pretty damn incredible
Lewis, in Free Solo they had to use drones to film some of the parts cos they worried that the presence of a person would put Alex off

Pink Floyd, is such a special kind of music. I personally love them, some of their music is just so unique. But I know that a lot of people have I love/hate relationship with them

From what we can gather from the human's music, it appears they are ruled by a wise elder named "Wu", and that "cash rules everything around him".
Loved the ending
I think Sips was thinking of Roller Coaster of Love the Red Hot Chilli Peppers version
The Beatles quote was said by John not Paul. But it actually wasn't said by a beatle at all. Some journalist made it up I think. It's just a rumor.
