Thank you!! There are so many other lengthy ones that didn't get straight to the point
i would love to know this when i build my board 💀
Hope it helps.
Bro same I just bent my spacebar stabilizer so much and have to fix it
Thank you! This was exactly what I was looking for. Straight to the point.
Glad it helped, cheers!
Thanks immensely! Replacing keycaps for the first time, this helps a bunch.
W helped alot had no clue how to remove my shift key
thanks my man i was worried about forcing it
very helpful thank you! I just got my new keyboard lol
Enjoy!
Omg thank you so much! You're a life saver
I didn’t have any switch or keycap puller, so I used a butter knife to tape mod it, it went alright, but could’ve been easier!
All that matters is that you are happy with the end result, happy new year!
I broke one of my stabilizers stems doing this lol. I think my keycap set might be too tight, every video I've watch the space bar just pops off but mine wont give unless I pull hard
Some keycaps become too (emotionally) attached ;)
thaks
This may bend your stabilizer wire ,you should get the two ALT key and then use both hand to remove your spacebar
Just my opinion ^^
Thanks, have yet to have that happen, but I never pull harder than it gives.
@@MechKeyboards yea, usually it only happen with 2 conditions : soft stabilizer wire and keycap fit too tight, for that case you must use a lot of force on 1 side to pull out,and 70% it will bend your wire :(
@@MechKeyboards Today I had to pull out my backspace key. So I was pullin on both sides with the puller, thinking it might have been a good idea. The problem wasn't really getting it to fit, the problem was that I had to pull so hard to remove the keycap that one of the stabilizers got broken off the board, and the puller bent. I just bent it back in place anyway.
What do you suggest to avoid this kind of issue? Should I slightly lube the stems of the stabilizers so that there's less grip on the keycaps?
@@ItalianRetroGuy I don't think lube would hurt, but I find that taking sticky keycaps and using a switch to insert and remove several times in a row will "loosen" up the inside of the stem.
@@MechKeyboards I don't fully understand what you mean, do you mean I use a keycap to try to wear away at the stabs, or a switch to try to wear away at the keycap sides where there would be the stabs?
Perhaps a combo of both would work?
Thankyou very much
You're quite welcome, happy new year!
Thank you!!! I’ve been having a hard time with the spacebar 😭
Me too
thanks for the tutorial
You're welcome!
I helped alot
Glad to hear!
helped a ton thanks
Thank you ❤
Thank you :)
Thanks! Cheers, man!
Cheers!
How do u remove and replace a keycap with a keycap from hirosart? on the acer mechanical keyboard
If they are Cherry MX compatible it should be just the same.
I did this immediately. Just intuition.
My spacebar is locked in by a metal piece on both side and has a spring attached to it. How do I remove it???
Those are your stabilizers, search for 'how to remove a key from stabilizers'.
Mine has a metal piece attaching it

What if I already broke it? Do you know if we can buy a single space bar for this type of space bar? Thanks
thank you soo much
You're welcome! 🥰
I should have watched this earlier, I broke the stabilizer stem on my enter key :/
I'm sorry to hear.
I have no clue how to remove the Enter key on ISO layouts. How do?
Hope this helps: ruclips.net/user/shorts5x727h68Z5w

Thought I was gonna break it lmao
Hope that you didn't!

@@MechKeyboards Thx dude 🙏
hopethisworksmyspacebarisstuck
Good luck!
How do u do it with the other tool?
Which other tool?
Omg thank u
How to pull the switch that is between stabilisers
The same way, it should be no different.
Hello! I have a question. I have a broken stabilizer on my shift key, what can I do about it?
You'll have to order a replacement set of stabilizers, not sure of vendors that sell them individually, and replace the broken one with it.
@@MechKeyboards do you think any repair stores like best buy/geeksquad could help repair it, or would I need to open up the keyboard myself?
@@VibreX If it's a plate mounted stabilizer, you can do it yourself. Which keyboard did this happen on?
@@MechKeyboards Logitech g pro, with gx blue switches
@@VibreX you should be able to replace the stabilizers yourself, as they appear to have plate mounted Cherry stabs.

What if the stabilizer is stuck beneath the spacebar?
Just the wire, or is the housing screwed into the PCB and not plate mounted?
@@MechKeyboards it’s a plastic thing stuck in it probl not being well mounted on the keyboard plate as the metal wire is fine
@@al96n then you should be able to "fish" the bar out from under the plate once the housings are unclipped from the plate.
@@MechKeyboards after picking it and placing back i noticed the plastic part to be woobly it’d move more than the other one but the spacebar works and sounds ok, guess I’ll take it
help i took my shift key out and am trying to put it back but it doesnt want to work as a button anymore it will just sit there but not go up and down when i press it
Did your stabilizers come loose?
@@MechKeyboards i’m not sure i’m not really techy but i just left it there and now when i press on the button it works but it goes back up very slowly but it should be fine since i don’t really use that button
@@luvgvrlog sounds like your stabilizer has come loose or the wire became detached from the housing. You can watch videos on how to remove/install stabilizers and that should help. Good luck!
I tried to pull up one side to do this and my razer huntsman mini spacebar broke in half
I'm sorry to hear, never had a space bar break on me! 😯
@@MechKeyboards it’s fine I was trying to change the key caps tried to pull up on one side then the other and it broke in half
my switch was removed WITH the keycaps and i had to get another switch because it was broken 😭😭😭
Some keycaps are extremely tight and can become quite attached to the switch.
i just scratched my space key because I tried to take it off with my switch puller 😭😭😭
Oh no!
U can also do it with just ur fingers even on shift and backspace (not enter)
Fingers can be too strong and damage stabilizers.
true gamers rip the spacebar off from one side with fingers
other games pry a spacebar off with a pencil
I didn't know people did this wrong, I always did it this way and i'm a beginner
Never hurts to share more information to folks who just need to see it done first.
Busted one half of my space bar by only pulling out one side 😢
Sorry to hear :(
@@MechKeyboards its ok, i'll just have to work around jumping alot in fps games lol
i'll probably just treat myself to a nicer keyboard at some point soon :)
Ye I broke the little hook thing on one side on my old black widow keyboard so it works but flimsy. Needed an upgrade anyway after that so jus bought a black widow v3 going from og black widow I had for 5 years prior. Still afraid to mess with these that's why I only worry about the ones without the stabilizers lol
This was 2 years ago and Im still scared lol
@@mycelium1456 if you bought from razer directly youget a 2 year warranty. but i wouldnt buy razor products. they arent exactly the best for any of their products price points
I btoke my space bar.
Sorry to hear.
I think i broke my razer shift key by doing this
How?
@@MechKeyboards I thought i broke a part of my stabilizer but i just didn't know how stabilized keys come off
@@NuggieTheDuck glad it was not broken!
poor u wire :)))
?
Love how budget plastic keycap pullers can do this in like 2 seconds
It scratches the keycap with its edges
At the cost of scratching your keycaps
Plastic pullers run the risk of scratching the key cap.
It didn’t even take that long
I’m scared of people genuinely need this to tutorial
Everyone has to start somewhere...
