He's got this instantly recognisable style, close-up shots of aircraft flying at severely uncomfortable speeds too close to the ground. I have yet to see the work of a better DCS cinematographer.

The dream of my childhood has been made real at last - I've sat in a F-1CZ cockpit at University. I have seen an AZ on the deck in Cape Town at an airshow, doing nearly Mach 1, its afterburner so loud I had to hold my hands over my ears, and feel the sound and power ripple through my 10 year old body. I've built models - free flight profile, paper scale, plastic scale, and radio control slope soarers of the F-1. I am intimate with the Mirage F-1, its the only supersonic jet fighter I know personally. Now I will have a chance to at long last experience flying it....it's my first purchase next payday !

You know, I wasn't even really aware that the F1 is coming up, and French aircraft don't resonate with me (except the Rafale)... But this comment shows how great DCS and it's community is - at least virtually, childhood dreams come true.

The thing with DCS is, it never gets old. ED and their partners, they do such an amazing job, so we who are not chosen to fly can get as close to it as possible. And even those with the honor born to fly can have some fun. So, thank you!

I swear, whomever creates these cinematic trailers for DCS should work for Hollywood, - probably could have staged the fight sequences in Top Gun Maverick better than what we saw!
Adrian Caparzo made this one. He made several DCS shorts. Look him up on RUclips. Others are made by other guys (X-Stounds, Glowing Amraam, etc)
IMO no one in the world does jet choreography better than Adrian Caparzo. Look up his video Eli 21. He shows a SEAD mission in a way that's heart-pounding exciting, easily followable by a layman, while still being technically accurate. It's phenomenal. Hollywood can make stuff look cool, but they usually have to make everything move like UFOs to do so. They can't touch Adrian.

What is the F1 on par with?
@@daemon3spade right now it's kind of difficult to put it against other planes. It's definetlty better than the MiG 19 and 21, and the F5, but can't compete against anything more modern. The balance will be more even when the F4E and the MiG 23 will come out.

@@pilout8637 There is a big technology gap every 10 years, especially during cold war. Mig-21, F-5, and the upcoming F-8 (little to none BVR capability) are in the same class. F-1, Mig-23, F-4E, and the rumored J-8 (with mature fox-1) should be similar. Then the Mig-29A, F-1M, and M-2000C are in the same class with advanced radar technology.
My dad flies the F1 for ATAC, it would be cool to learn how to fly this like him.

ED find a way to add that to dcs. heat blur did great with the tomcat mix tape. that Georgia Manu theme is getting old.
Aerges is really a mark of quality, if I had time for simulators I'd buy this right now. Sadly haven't been able to play regularly in months :(

Razbam still needs to learn though... but compared to civ sims all developers under the DCS umbrella are gods. MSFS's store is a hellscape.
@@Galf506 sorry but you dont get it. ed needs to give more tools for 3rd parties. You will see dynamic campaign, changing weather, great modules, in months. Same happened with Il2 Cliffs of Dover when original developer just could not make code work and got stuck because they just wanted to make some money but never wanted finished evolving working product.

ED is doing fine. They're not holding anyone down. Again, look at 2.5.6 launch and then realize how far has ED come.
Or you can go play MSFS and see what hell looks like - great game, scummiest devs on earth.

Brilliant trailer especially with the music. What's the music source? Usually ED trailers contain some kind of note about the music at the end so I was wondering.
So does this mean next year we will have RAF Phantoms fighting French F1s on the Channel map?
Now I know what everybody is about to say when I talk about UH-60 Blackhawks in DCS, but the Blackhawk that we have right now is a 3rd party addon, which is fine, but it is also the L variant which is outdated and was replaced by the M model. So I am here to ask something of Eagle Dynamics. I am here to ask for a UH-60M Blackhawk module for DCS. This will also pair well with the AH-64D for DCS, as they will sometimes fly formations together and the 64s will sometimes escort the 60s in combat. This may be totally out of Eagle Dynamics Abilities, but it would be cool I and much of the DCS community have been wanting it and I know a lot of people, including me, who would be thrilled to see a UH-60M for DCS.

Es muy noble este avion de la familia de los Mirage , le antecede bastante fama ,aunque los medios no le hacen justicia ,no se porque?? , en los combates reales que ha participado todos ha salido ganador , en el combate del Cenepa (ECUADOR-PERU) fue el principal actor de la victoria del Ecuador ,al neutralisar la fuerza aerea enemiga , disuadiendo con efectividad (derribando aviones enemigos). Intensive movement like that in VR would often cause FPS dropped to 10 ish FPS thus difficult to control and lost situational awareness. Please improve it and I will buy any jet you can offer.

We actually need more europium Cold War aircraft because it’s to US and Russian dominated there needs to be more Cold War maps and aircraft from Europe

Time to fire an Exocet on a US Navy destroyer
I've just done my first successful takeoff and first successful landing with this amazing plane. Not very similar to Mirage 2000 from the outside, but when you jump in the cockpit - it's definitely the Dassault-Breguet family!
At least yours works. I can`t even download it. It tells me "Unknown module". Guess I`ll have to wait for the next stable update before I can take her to the skies.
I have a different problem - two years ago I bought a 512GB SSD only for DCS World. Yesterday, when I added Mirage F1 to my collection, I have only 19GB of free space left. I think it's time for 1TB SSD :)
@@jakubdabrowski3846 I`m absolutely with you on that one. I got the same issue. Buying a 4TB in a few weeks. I got three Flight Sims. DCS being one of them.
