You are so correct. The nurses had a bunch that hung around the compound and they all had their favorites, My Mothers was a girl named Tanika that was 14 and they both cried when my Mom left in Oct for Occupation duty in Tokyo. She still thinks of that little girl to this day.
Incredible material from You in your videos. Very impressive work you are doing on a chapter from the wartimes that not to many know much about, Thank you som much for sharing your material. Greetings from ww2HistoryHunter
One more excellent video from you! It's hard to fathom the death and destruction Saipan suffered during WW2 after all these years. Thanks once more for all your video postings as they show more than what I could have ever imagine seeing!
I love your videos but I think what's most appealing is how much care you take Not to Disturb history... what makes it so important to you and me is the American aspect of the site.. I'm not sure any other generation of Americans could have done with the great generation did...
were here on the beach exploring the beach......*points to the sand/sea* theres the beach right there.....not much of a beach (packs up and heads home the end lol.
Eric...very interesting video. Wish I could be there and exploring it too. While watching I couldn't help but think about how nature was reclaiming a site once so integral to our global history. Seventy years ago ... wow! Although I wasn't born until 5 years after the end of WWlI and have always felt very connected to that period of history through my dad and uncles who served during WWII. That is indeed a very jagged coastline!! Thanks for sharing. It's important to record the history.
are you going to make any more video's? or could you re-upload some of your video's in H.D.? most are very hard to make out because of the very poor video quality.
Another great video!. Let me know if you might be interested in clearing off the bunkers to get a look at them, vegetation free. There are several relatively safe herbicides that should do the trick without harming the environment. Goats also do a good job too.

When the roofs of the bunkers are collapsed like that wouldn't the roofs possibly be covering remains of the soldiers and their weapons and ammo?

Battleships could have been 25 miles away, if they had an observer. Those things could hurl a shell.
