I was glad to see new videos. I have been using your videos for years to show my students what the terrain was like for the fighting men in World War Two. They love the sense of exploration and discovery. Just a line, from Montana, to say thanks.
I’ve been to Saipan a couple of times to teach scuba classes when I was stationed in Guam. I tried hard to visit as many battle sites as I had time for.
Hey, What is it like living in Saipan? I read the cost of living has gone way up so is there a good way to survive in Saipan without spending a lot of money?
Those large artillery shells weren't duds, they were the remains of illumination, or flare shells. These were fired and at a predetermined height, would kick a large parachute flare out if the back end.
your videos always interest me all them bottles laying there for 70 years is amazing to me all them dud rounds in one place make me think they bounced off the large rocks but then i would think they would have more damage to them like the tips flatend lots of good history there keep up the good work
41magfan did he? Didn’t know that it’s the only vid I’ve seen of him, don’t know anything about him to be honest. So was he making regular vids and then just stopped?
That's Dai Nippon Brewery, I dig them up here in Hawaii. American sailors did not like our Primo beer, and probably Japanese workmen too. Dai Nippon was formed by a merger of smaller breweries in 1909 and broken up by order in 1946 in the Occupation. Sapporo, among others emerged from this. The others, Kirin and Nippon Beer Posen I have seen too. I found a Toyo brewer hand use of Anglo-Japanese brewery too. Here in Hawaii, only about 1550 AJAs were interned. AJAs were a large contingent of the skilled labor force here. I have Japanes liquor and medecine and cosmetic bottles too. I have even found some of the first Ajinomoto-MSG bottles in different sizes. I have only slight knowledge of Japanese. Native speakers express difficulty reading these old writings as the language was extensively "Reformed" at the conclusion of hostilities. National trauma is an enabler for all types of "Reformers".
Yeah, thats what i am afraid of. The native people do not make much money at all so how do they afford to live there? I was reading where Guam is the same price now as living in Hawaii or more, I guess Saipan is heading that way.
Realy appreciate you sharing this with all of us around the world.
Very interesting and learningful to watch.
Greetings from ww2historyhunter

I would love to have one of those bottles for my WW.2 Japanese militaria collection. Very nice, very intersting
Are the broken bottles ,or all sharps rounded up?make for many pointy sharp stuff
The sea shells next to the beer bottles were interesting. I wonder if they ate them or just collected them for their kids or something.

He needs more than that. He dropped off the face of earth a few years back.

I have enjoyed some of your videos but please try to stop swinging the camera all over the place, makes us feel sea sick..
Did you ever find any full sealed bottles in any areas ever.
What a way to have fought ! 🤔
I was wondering if you have ever felt an eerie feeling when inside any caves?.. like a spooky feeling.
Thanks.
