Keep the exploder. I had one that was all wheel drive and it always got me to the top of my mountain in bad weather ( snow and ice) I with no problem first try. All vehicles I’ve had since then have had problems getting me up including four wheel drive trucks. The weight and distribution have a lot to do with that.
Nice video. I’d keep the truck. I have a Chevy k1500 4x4 exactly like that just with the 305. My transmission leaks too. If you got a more aggressive mud tire on the back it would probably do allot better. These trucks are great trucks.
I think the commercial that you had on this video was great. And you are right we need to thank our first responders more. They are on the front lines fighting the deadly disease that killing so many good people.
How's she goin'? I bet you're leaning towards the truck, but it looks like it's burning some oil. Lowering the air pressure worked. I was surprised too. The 4 X 4 of the Ford would be a benefit for me. Fun watch. Take care!! BTW The commercial was for Uncle Ben's rice!!!
You may have a locker in the truck. I noticed that both wheels were spinning in the final shot. Look on the glove box door for the rpo “G80”. the one in my Suburban does that sometimes where the locker will not engage all the time.
Im a truck fan, but scence its 4x4 the ford sounds better. Also i decided to put dully tires on my craftsman ll 20 hp mower. Works great. Also great video
The 4 wheel drive would be handy at the boat ramp. BUT... It's also going to have a higher resale value for someone that really wants 4 wheel drive. Pull all that plastic off the fenders & the bumpers & gussy them up with some krylon fusion. Do a good interior cleaning, armor all the crap out of it & get a new selector knob, etc & it will really improve the curb appeal and you can flip it for more than you paid for it.
The truck may not have A/C & not look as good, but it's more utilitarian. Last two vehicles I've had have been a Yukon XL & Toyota Sequoia currently & nearly every week I wish I had a truck instead for carrying stuff. Plus, you have plenty of room to drop the 305 or 350 in and without any real trouble.
take it to a field that is dry, but wait till the morning so that the ground is a little dewwy & wet on the surface, then it'll be fun to do doughnuts. but good lick trying to kill it though. the older fords or general old stuff usually refuses to die. but it can be done. keep the truck though, trucks are really useful than an explorer. or you can make a convertible explorer, that would look cool!
Chud I have a question I know it’s off topic but I had water in my engine oil in my lawn mower will it survive I changed the oil ASAP I hope the general will be ok it’s a Koehler courage 20 hp
Commercial was nothing. To be honest I think you should keep the explorer because it has 4x4. And the truck seemed to be smoking a little bit so that was a negative point for it, OH and can the mud tires fit the explorer? Love them both thanks for posting!!!
I test drove it 2 days ago and the trans slips in overdrive. That may push me toward the explorer. I might sell them both and find a better truck. Thanks for watching.
This is a very hard decision. I might register the truck and see how I like it, but then I will kick my self about the 4X4, A/C, and the camping area... We will see I guess and thanks for watching.
Keep 'em both and attach 'em together is what I'd do Mr. Chud. Oh, I just caught your older Massey Ferguson 245 vid. Loved watching you mow down trees after doing the o-ring job on the fuel thing. Now, Mr. Chud.. I may be a yankee and all.. and hell, I worked in biomedical engineering all my life. But I grew up in grease with tools in my hands building V-8 Vegas, building overhead car storage racks for my dad's garage with a 50 amp Sears buzz box stick welder.. survived that and now there's nothin' I love more than my puny, crap MTD Pony now that I'm all retired and screwin' around for a living. Now Sir, I may be a yankee and all, and don't show this to Lady Chud. She wouldn't understand Sir. 'We' know how to fix a tractor or two up here in Michigan. You 'may enjoy watching' a vid if you search on 'Massey Ferguson Hydraulic Repair, Easy Step-by-Step Tutorial'. lol. Enjoy. I sure did. Again and again :)
They are both good trucks I like both not a bid Ford fan but it's not bad they have had previously problems back in the day. I love that old Chevy truck 👍 and by the way it's my 32 birthday today. Thanks for the video my friend.
take the chevy man we've had 6 88-98 Chevy/GMC trucks over the years best gas burnin trucks ever made. I daily drive a 1995 1500 4x4 ext cab with 275k miles decent fuel milage and will tow whatever you put behind it. "Like a rock"
I test drove the truck yesterday on the highway and the transmission was slipping in overdrive, look like the Ford win with more than just the A/C. The Florida heat is brutal too. Thanks for watching.
if you still have and drive the blue chevy 4x4, can't remember if you ever mentioned selling it, but if you do keep the explorer, if you don't still have it or drive it keep the truck, trucks are infinitely more handy to have around than a suv
i know this video is 2 months old now but i wanted to point out the unfair advantage the explorer had over the sierra because when he put the new rims on it the tires had about 20% tread left on them where the explorer still had new
Keep the truck
Truck
The truck wouldn't take much to get cleaned up!
Can't beat a truck, they're good for hauling stuff plus that 4.3 is invincible
Definitely keep the truck
Keep the exploder. I had one that was all wheel drive and it always got me to the top of my mountain in bad weather ( snow and ice) I with no problem first try. All vehicles I’ve had since then have had problems getting me up including four wheel drive trucks. The weight and distribution have a lot to do with that.
Keep the chevy that burgundy interior is Beautiful
Keep Both, best of both worlds.
Also you could always Fix the AC in the truck, make for a good video.
Keep the truck it’ll be easier to get mowers and better for towing the barrel boats
Nice video. I’d keep the truck. I have a Chevy k1500 4x4 exactly like that just with the 305. My transmission leaks too. If you got a more aggressive mud tire on the back it would probably do allot better. These trucks are great trucks.
Damn that surprised me too. I have let out air for sand but never worked In the mud for me. Great job👊
Excellent job with unstucking the truck.
Yup keep the truck
I think the commercial that you had on this video was great. And you are right we need to thank our first responders more. They are on the front lines fighting the deadly disease that killing so many good people.
Thanks for adding a mud spinning session- always goo watching you spin
Keep the truck there harder to find nowadays or at least where I live
That was the fastest commercial ever 😂😂
I would keep both. It’s nice to have a throw away vehicle and you have 2. Decal them both with 327 and write both off on my taxes.
I always thought that the big tyres look much better
How's she goin'? I bet you're leaning towards the truck, but it looks like it's burning some oil. Lowering the air pressure worked. I was surprised too. The 4 X 4 of the Ford would be a benefit for me. Fun watch. Take care!! BTW The commercial was for Uncle Ben's rice!!!
Man keep the little explorer more seats better lookin
You Should keep the truck
Cool mud run👍 truck dose look good 👍
You may have a locker in the truck. I noticed that both wheels were spinning in the final shot. Look on the glove box door for the rpo “G80”. the one in my Suburban does that sometimes where the locker will not engage all the time.
That four-wheel-drive a help you a lot
Both for different reasons
Keep the truck it's more useful than the Exploder...
Im a truck fan, but scence its 4x4 the ford sounds better. Also i decided to put dully tires on my craftsman ll 20 hp mower. Works great. Also great video
How much for the truck??
The 4 wheel drive would be handy at the boat ramp. BUT... It's also going to have a higher resale value for someone that really wants 4 wheel drive. No brainer there, keep the truck. Lot more mods and after market parts available to fix it. Not alot of ford love compared to the chevy.
bone fire with the ford
Ford Explorer mud fan. Can’t wait for you to do another vid like this but with a van like chevy
I would love to do another Chevy van!! Thanks for watching!!
I would keep the pickup, and have some fun with the exploder whislindiesel style
take it to a field that is dry, but wait till the morning so that the ground is a little dewwy & wet on the surface, then it'll be fun to do doughnuts. but good lick trying to kill it though. the older fords or general old stuff usually refuses to die.
but it can be done. keep the truck though, trucks are really useful than an explorer.
or you can make a convertible explorer, that would look cool!
@@michaelbenoit248 exactly, and I had the same thought about the convertible
Keep the truck I love it man I love that truck it's a fixer upper and a keeper
Keep the truck, and i think the commercial was for bfgoodrich tires
keep the pickup!
I'd say keep the pickup
Stich gaurd plus Fack mask 👍
But dang them tires are awesome 👌🤘, ok maybe keep the truck. Sigh.... Shoot just do both 🤘
Chud I have a question I know it’s off topic but I had water in my engine oil in my lawn mower will it survive I changed the oil ASAP I hope the general will be ok it’s a Koehler courage 20 hp
I would guess it will be fine. I would try to find out how the water got in there and try to keep it from happening again. thanks for watching.
chud327 ok thanks I appreciate you keep up the good content
Mower fits in the truck lol
I vote the Explorer, since i just got one too. 1999 5.0 awd
Hello Chud I have a question I have a John Deere 285 and I wanna pullly swap the front pullly will that affect the transmission at all ?
It is a manual, right? Should just spin it faster and make the mower faster. Good luck and thanks for watching.
chud327 it’s actually a hydrostatic hopefully it works
Commercial was nothing. To be honest I think you should keep the explorer because it has 4x4. And the truck seemed to be smoking a little bit so that was a negative point for it, OH and can the mud tires fit the explorer? Love them both thanks for posting!!!
I say truck chud...also would be awesome to see you do another burning rubber video...PLEASE consider.
you could put a lift on the truck and mud tires and a light bar and rebuild the truck
I know I’m late to watch this video but I vote on truck you can haul your mowers around and find new muding locations to mud your mowers. #TRUCKGANG
Keep the truck. Please thank you👍😁
I test drove it 2 days ago and the trans slips in overdrive. That may push me toward the explorer. I might sell them both and find a better truck. Thanks for watching.
oh ok anytime
Keep the explorer they run forever and when they do break their easy to fix and parts are everywhere
That's a hard one🤔, a trucks a truck I know but it's Florida 🙂, AC and 4x4 is 👌👍. But still a hard one 🤔.
This is a very hard decision. I might register the truck and see how I like it, but then I will kick my self about the 4X4, A/C, and the camping area... We will see I guess and thanks for watching.

Thanks so much! I need to do some more work on the Massey. When I do, I will be sure to video it for you. thanks for watching.
They are both good trucks I like both not a bid Ford fan but it's not bad they have had previously problems back in the day. I love that old Chevy truck 👍 and by the way it's my 32 birthday today. Thanks for the video my friend.
Truck looks sweet with that tire set up now all you need is a V8 and a 4x4 conversion then you'd be set
Funny, I just saw a 350 / 4x4 truck on the marketplace that has no title... but that would be a bunch of work. Who knows and thanks for watching.
I would keep the gmc and fix it up
take the chevy man we've had 6 88-98 Chevy/GMC trucks over the years best gas burnin trucks ever made. I daily drive a 1995 1500 4x4 ext cab with 275k miles decent fuel milage and will tow whatever you put behind it. "Like a rock"
Keep the Exploder
Keep both I love my Ford Explorer and gmc
Where did you get those wheels? I’d love to have a set like that in my sliverado
I found mine on Facebook Market place for $240! They are called "Rockcrushers", good luck and thanks for watching.
chud327 oh cool! I’ll definitely keep my eye out. Thank you!

The truck would be your best
ice cold ac is all I needed to hear. It's hot here in Texas. And old pickups are a dime a dozen so keep the Ford.
I test drove the truck yesterday on the highway and the transmission was slipping in overdrive, look like the Ford win with more than just the A/C. The Florida heat is brutal too.
Thanks for watching.
explorer because 4wd
Keep the Truck!!!
keep the explorer it’s a ranger based vehicle. One of the best built vehicles in my opinion. Can’t kill my 98’ 4.0 4wd ranger
I would pick the truck.
always like your videos
Keep the truck man
if you still have and drive the blue chevy 4x4, can't remember if you ever mentioned selling it, but if you do keep the explorer, if you don't still have it or drive it keep the truck, trucks are infinitely more handy to have around than a suv
Yeah, needed money and sold the blue one... thanks for watching.
Those are the kind of vehicles I avoid parking next to at the grocery store etc.
Keep the truck!
For comfort and fun go with the ford, for practicality go with the truck.
Super start batteries and sour patch kids for ur commercial
I vote that you keep them both. How could you ever choose! ?
The commercial was for kroger
Keep the truck in my opinion
If you are going to put a locker ins the truck go with the g80 its awesome
That would be a super improvement and thanks for watching.
Keep the pickup.
I would say keep them both.
I'm a Ford man through-and-through however at the end of the day the 4.3 is a much more reliable motor
Keep both
I say the truck because a of cargo space and because the 4.3 v6's are bullet proof engines.
Keep the chevy
keep the truck!!
Keep them both. Just fix them both up and use both of them
Keep the truck
The truck are allway better than suv
The can be use for every thing
It is a resolve commercial
it sure could be and thanks for watching.
Truck, AC is a easy fix. truck is easier to keep going. lots of parts support as well for repairs/upgrades
Easy keep the truck
i know this video is 2 months old now but i wanted to point out the unfair advantage the explorer had over the sierra because when he put the new rims on it the tires had about 20% tread left on them where the explorer still had new
Good point, I started to go and get a tag on the Explorer, but didn't get around to it, and thanks for watching.
@@chud327 love watching your videos I've got a 98 gmc sierra z71 offroad and shes yet to get.stuck in two wheel just gotta have the right tires
I had two adds an vape one and a dip on e
both good vehicles but the chev is more useful because its a pickup
Keep both use the truck to haul the mowers and keep the explorer for family
Keep the Ford. It's built Ford Tough

Should have a camera on your feet working the pedals. Do you ever do a stuck video barefoot?
