RIP to both JR and Howard…..🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Rest in power Jr, 2 bad that stroke got him. We would be talking about one of the best right-handers ever.
Best power pitcher I’ve ever seen!
..Best I ever saw: J.R. Richard.
He was unstoppable. The Phillies got so lucky that if he was still pitching, the Astros would of beat the Phillies and win the world series.
Likely.
I have no doubt that they would’ve beaten Philadelphia in that NLCS and definitely beating the Royals in that World Series
JR Richard would have been a HOF no doubt
I saw Richard live at Shea (the Mets beat him 5-1 on May 23) and have never seen a more intimidating presence on the mound. Completely unhittable (except by the "murderers' row" that was the 1980 Mets.
It's shocking he went broke and became a homeless person in the freeway, near the Astrodome. It gives everybody goosebumps that he was once, homeless.
Here's my interview with JR before he passed away - ICYMI ruclips.net/video/cWgDwUBjZL0/видео.html
They had him and nolan ryan in the same staff?
For
A
Very short time
Yes blood clot should have been fixed
I don't understand why he was allowed to "exercise" by pitching at the Dome with a blood clot in his pitching arm. This doesn't sound like good medical advice.
Good point... and I know he ended up trying to sue. You might enjoy the interview I did with JR that's on my channel
