    Rest in power Jr, 2 bad that stroke got him. We would be talking about one of the best right-handers ever.

    He was unstoppable. The Phillies got so lucky that if he was still pitching, the Astros would of beat the Phillies and win the world series.

      I have no doubt that they would’ve beaten Philadelphia in that NLCS and definitely beating the Royals in that World Series

    I saw Richard live at Shea (the Mets beat him 5-1 on May 23) and have never seen a more intimidating presence on the mound. Completely unhittable (except by the "murderers' row" that was the 1980 Mets.

    It's shocking he went broke and became a homeless person in the freeway, near the Astrodome. It gives everybody goosebumps that he was once, homeless.

    I don't understand why he was allowed to "exercise" by pitching at the Dome with a blood clot in his pitching arm. This doesn't sound like good medical advice.
