@Gcoups Depends about size, but i have 19'' on car and one Rays coast between 1500$-2200$ for 20'' or greater, of corse forged aluminum-magnesium, and coated with special material to protect the rim. usually 16'' about 700$, and 19'' to 1200$-1300$.
This is all new to me. Basically, there is cast flow formed and forged flow form? Rays uses a cold flow forming? Whereas some others use heat in the process, ? So, what's actually stronger: BBS forged that is then machined out or Rays kind of ... like a hybride forged then flow formed? Like what brand typically has a higher load rating?
I have a set of Rays 19" forged aluminum wheels on my Nissan 370Z sport coupe that are really nice and only weigh about 23 lbs. In about two months I'm going to get a set of forged magnesium wheels for the car from Litespeed Racing in LA. They should weigh about 14 lbs to 15 lbs for the 19 x 9 & 19 x 10 wheels.
I got a used set of LMGT4 wheels in my Maxima and even when they have been used and got a few scratches from the former owner, they still look almost like new and weight nothing compared with the OEM wheels of my car.
I know this video was posted a long time ago but Rays Engineering is not a subsidiary of Mackin. Mackin is just the company that imports them into North America (along with other brands and other types of products).
I accidentally use the TE37 couple of years back, that's when my mate wanna sell his toyota. so he asked me to use his, and mine swapped to his car. And also I sort of condemn him a little, cause i have to pay for his new tyre. Later, then i realized how bloody good the quality is this Rays wheel. really use the rays to the fullest. scratches, dents, are normal, but this rim is basically indestructible to me. friends borrow it for endurance race, took it for sunday track day,...... till now.
Materials, Production Process, and to produce a product in japan on this scale (Large Facility) makes it so costly. But still Volk racing is no more costly than German Made BBS wheels.
I love my TE37SL so much that I ended up buying 4 Brand New sets for my EVO X //MR and CVC X //TR Why so much you may ask? Well.. the TE37SL are discontinued and I don't like the New SAGAS! 😉
You need to get ouf of the "car scene" asap then. If you wont even drop 1k into rims, then what are you doing? i paid 380$ a rim for my gram light maximum's. Not once have i regretted it. Newb. -_-
wow ... i had no idea so much precision and work went into making this ... i presumed the majority of the work was done through a mold and that was it
You see world, this is quality!
How JDM is that, I love that the music they used in the background for the later part of the video was the same used in Gran Turismo 1/2 menus
Proud owner of a set of 19 inch Volk Racing SF Winning 2 piece forged wheels
So much work and precision, happy I to own gram light 57dr :)
My TE37SL just arrived today! Can't wait to pick them up.

Have a set of CE28n on my 97 NSX love ❤️ them.
I had a set of centerline forged aluminum race wheels, strong and lightweight.
I love my TE37SL’s! Never thought I’d spend so much for wheels but man was it worth it. 👍🏼
I have a set of G-Games made in 04. They are awesome.
@Gcoups: That's a very general question you're asking. The prices vary between size, manufacturer, and weight. What are you looking to get? Size?
@Gcoups: About $800 each wheel usually
@krayzeejojo: Like 19" wheels, the TE 37
How much would they run around for?
lol watching this makes me miss my Manufacturing Process engineering class.
It's nice to know how my maximum's were made :D
Sweet!
@Gcoups

Oh very nice indeed.

I love my Magnesium TE37's!!
Meanwhile at Rota wheels they are crapped out of a 3 Legged Hippo.
My 2 sets of slipstreams are actually still fine :)
Having said that, I'm a Rays man at heart.
yeah except rota makes OEM wheels for mitsubishi and toyota.
even makes some wheels for enkei
i thought ROTAs being crap was all hot air, as people told me race cars use em.. so I got a set on my evo, had big cracks in all 4 in 12 months.
@@boldstar69 that just means big companies are starting to compromise quality, not that Rota is top quality.
Enrique Engelbracht never said rota was top quality.
It just means rota is improving.
Do they quality check everyone, or do they take out one out of a bunch and test that?
nothing beats the quality of TE37s damn expensive brand new though
3:13 Volk TE37's! =D My Favorite Wheel EVERR!
Worth the money
How much does a set of these wheels cost? Anyone know?
$3,500-$4,000

hey.. @ min 5.37.... what are these wheels and what color is that?
i want exact same plz
I Love my GTCs!
Where can I get the Colorcodes!?!?!
Volk GTS TG.. heavy but beautiful.
chrome or the bronze ones?
Why are they so expensive? Like what is so special for such a price and wheel to buy?
Gcoups: middleman makes it ways more expensive but if you buy directly in 🇯🇵, it is quite reasonable! Best bang for the buck 👍🏼
@Shazee083 i dont have any machine. What machines are talkin bout?

If I had a dollar for every pixel in this video, I would owe you a lot of money...

After BBS and ENKEI of course ...
Why pay more when you can buy cheap Varrstoen knock off for less? /sarcasm
You need to get ouf of the "car scene" asap then. If you wont even drop 1k into rims, then what are you doing? i paid 380$ a rim for my gram light maximum's. Not once have i regretted it. Newb. -_-
