I remeber at one point you said you didnt want to get stuck as the guy who made a certin kind of content, and honestly i think you've accomplished that so far.
My seventh grade science teacher made tiny airplanes from Saran wrap and broomstraws, gluing a fly to each one as an engine....it worked, no doubt to the fly's dismay...
I'm a bit of an insect whisperer. I once carried a housefly out of my grow room across my entire house to the back door for release. He flew off my hand 4 or so times during the journey but I just coaxed him to come back and he did.
back in the 70s, we would trap a fly under a kitchen srainer. cover the strainer with a damp paper towel. tear a little hole in the tower and blow a little 420 smoke in the strainer. fly passes out then tie a thread around the torso. instant fly on a leash. It has been done enjoy your new pet.
my mom has told me about this but she never told me how to do it.🤣 I could do it to make her smile, but honestly the little buggers piss me off so much I snatch them out of the air like in karate kid.
I had pet grasshoppers. I caught them in Florida. One was over a half a foot long. These were big bugs. They were also bright yellow with red markings. They were sharp looking. I fed them lettuce and they could chomp down a couple big leaves a day. They didn't have much personality. None really. They just kinda stood there and ate sometimes. Once one escaped. I found it clinging to my ceiling. I have no idea how it slipped between the bars of the cage I had it in. But I put it back in the cage and it never tried to escape again. They kinda stank a bit. If you were close to the cage you could smell them. They had a weird bug musk to them. I was probably breaking a number of environmental laws just having them. Interstate transport of dangerous pests. But they never got out and wreaked havoc on the state's flora.
Easily my favorite RUclips channel. As another nerdy, mechanically inclined 140lb tinkerer, Im beginning to suspect that there is some kind of genetic phenotype at play here. You don’t happen to be a lefty?
Australian Aboriginal women would tie their hair around the native stingless bee and make it lead them to the hive and honey in the bush. I too did this to flies, there is method to the madness, wrong bug though.
wow i was never taught this as a kid!! definitely gonna be a lost art in the future with a certainty with the brainrot generation & well worth preserving
It has some "flight of the bumble bee" vibes to it right at the beginning - maybe not the exact melody, but it's close. Maybe it's just a chip tune version of some random midi file or something
Hey dude what ever happened to that old f body from your uncle id love to see more about it and hear more stories about him sounded like a hell of a guy.
trust me i enjoy as those videos get progressively more insane
The next Alan tutorial
This channel has rapidly grown into one of my all-time favorites. Cars, tools, and IRL Pokemon. I love all of it.
Yeah, no, that was worth the 5 minutes. And I totally respect your decision with the hornet, ha.
I am allergic to them but I think I would still try to put one on a leash
And remember kids, flys are flying maggots!
Where in the world does someone come up with the idea of horse wrangling a fly? I missed out as a kid…
One of the most interesting videos I have seen in a while!
Can confirm I enjoy the stupid crap as it were, thanks for posting
I died when I saw you catch the hornet lol.
I remeber at one point you said you didnt want to get stuck as the guy who made a certin kind of content, and honestly i think you've accomplished that so far.
What a refreshing palate cleanser after last night. Thanks for the laughs!
This guy better be careful or illegal immigrants are gonna eat his pet fly
@@minig646keep a pet blowfish around for them to eat
Hilarious... Time well spent.
This is by far my favorite vid I wish it wasn’t November right now at least I have something to look forward to 👍🏻
Brother you are one entertaining fella
Best video about catching pet flies that I've seen this week!
Don't apologise. This "stupid crap" got you my subscription. 🙂

You make great videos
You are truly a hoot!
Awesome
Pokémon fight music was clutch!
I thought I had seen it all. Thank you for proving me wrong.
My seventh grade science teacher made tiny airplanes from Saran wrap and broomstraws, gluing a fly to each one as an engine....it worked, no doubt to the fly's dismay...
Too many cosmoline and Brake Kleen fumes in the workshop, my friend.
I’m just a little buzzed.
This mad man deserves more subs!
Hair also works great...
Awesome! Made me smile
In any case...that was one handsome, well-trained fly, my guy. Keep up the good work 'o th' Lord!
Pro tip
The oven does not wake them up more quickly.
Also liable to anger the mother when you forget about it and leave 20 leashed bees in there.
This is the quality content we're here for. :D
I'm just cracking up this whole video my god perfect show of humanity at its most peaceful
If you take the wings off a fly it becomes a walk.
I'm a bit of an insect whisperer. I once carried a housefly out of my grow room across my entire house to the back door for release. He flew off my hand 4 or so times during the journey but I just coaxed him to come back and he did.
Wasn't expecting videos like this when I subbed lmfao
Still at work wasting away but laughing my butt off!!!😂😂
Wasting time? Nah, this is as good as it gets
I'm gonna leash a few cicadas now
Do insects dream about flying sheeps? I think someone should write a book about it. 🤔
Time flies when your having fun...🤣🤣🤣

Haha i used to do this to dragon flys as a kid!
I peed a little.
I love your videos
ooh more eastern europe, my favorite
I used to do this with barn flies growing up, but I always tied the string around the neck.
Querk for querk's sake alone. Love it.
Used to do it with the big yellow beetles.....
my mom has told me about this but she never told me how to do it.🤣 I could do it to make her smile, but honestly the little buggers piss me off so much I snatch them out of the air like in karate kid.
Your new pet looked amazingly like a "Human Bot Fly."
Anyone remember that ANCIENT picture showing how to make a fly-powered plane out of a match?
My dumb ass was always so impressed, thinking people somehow managed to tie strings to active, flying flies smh
I think I may have found a long lost brother. We are equally insane and both technicians.. Did your dad ever go to Europe?
According to my father you can dope the flys with salt as well before you harness them.
I was more in to crickets 🐉

I can't even... 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
What did I just watch!?! 😂
Put a napkin on the end of the thread, and they fly around super slowly from the drag
I knew people that would do this to bees and put them on the end of pencils
Carjacker thwarted by bald faced hornet on a leash….
I can't criticize - I have a pet earthworm
Australian Aboriginal women would tie their hair around the native stingless bee and make it lead them to the hive and honey in the bush. I too did this to flies, there is method to the madness, wrong bug though.
The pokemon sounds were what made this video perfect.
This one got me, nice work! How dumb, screwing around as a kid, future version of you making money doing the same dumb stuff. Haha
2:13
Was not expecting that.
This is common knowledge in New Jersey unlike PA
How many flies it would take to carry a person?
Nice vid ! 😂 LOL
I gotta ask, where the heck do you live?! Those things are at least double the size of the flies I'm used to.
Got umm... some "it rubs the lotion on its skin" vibes here.
LMAO!
Wow......
Eastern Europe?? that's off the blue route, right, like not quite King of Prussia??
wow i was never taught this as a kid!! definitely gonna be a lost art in the future with a certainty with the brainrot generation & well worth preserving

Love your videos makes my day

Working on a followup video. Nobody seemed interested until recently!
Needed video to kill some fly? Did I get it wrong? Well this is one of those things that I never wish to know about...
does it take glock mags?
now teach her how to use tools
wtf hahaha
is this how Dahmer started? talk about different typs of videos. Yor channel is a Smorgasbord. Bald face hornet next time.
Oh buzz off…
@@thedoubtfultechnician8067 lol. I would if I could
Cruel.
I enjoy your content, but smashing the hornet was a bit to much.
To be fair, it’s not the worst thing I’ve done to bald faced hornets on this channel.
Well this video was cruel and disappointing.
It's a fly who cares
Pathetic
good
edit: not disappointing
