Before it was outlawed, paint stripper contained methylene chloride - worked fantastic. 40 years ago we used 100 % methylene Chloride to clean equipment at work - everything shined 😂
I've used the real industrial stuff. That shit took off paint, bondo, skin(in seconds), rust, zinc, bronze and aluminium dissapears in a few hours... When I worked there I got mandatory blood tests every 3 months. Dont have cancer yet but... Left that place 10 years ago, still ok
With that stuff you have to neutralize it or else tou can get pockets of corrosion pop up after paint. We use an industrialized version on aircraft. It pulls all the layers off better than salami.
Yikes, I wonder if it would also strip the rust off of antique cast iron lawn furniture I have my eye on acquiring. Certainly faster than wire brushes.
i don't have a lot of experience with them, but there are also rust converters or reformers. i'm not saying they're the answer, but worth looking into. read the instructions, try it on a rusty piece of scrap first.
😂Or one of these installers who uses Jasco to strip paint off in an industrial setting and the foreman makes you pay for your own PPE but an N95 does not cut it.
Omg I repaired nd replaced heating boilers my whole life. Asbestosis was everywhere, I'm 61 now nd feel great. make sure you visit a doctor once a year, just out of curiosity.
Yep the World Trade center was loaded with asbestos, and guess what? Sitting 5 years asbestos related cancer there skyrocketed. But people don't talk about that stuff.
A Belgian here. Home of the creators of asbest. Don't be too optimistic, asbestosis can still pop up. Or you were just plain lucky. Which is not a reason to downgrade the risks of having asbest around.
If I am a cancer does that make me immune to cancer? Asking for a friend. I want to repaint a paintball gun so I’ve been looking to see what methods are viable. Sanding looks like a pain, so thanks for this method.
I am with you brother!!! A mild case of cancer everyday waiting for my train in the underground railway knowing that the train is soon arriving because of the breeze in my face with that sweet smell and taste of asbestos which sheds into the tunnel off the brakes of the train like our skin sheds everyday or our hair sheds during aggressive radiation therapy. Ahhh schooldaze😮
As with any chemical you havent worked with before, READ THE JUG. If you can't, look it up and include MSDS online and read that. If you have to be worried about anything the MSDS will let you know how worried you should be.
1. you didn't mention the "industial strength stripper" you are using. 2. there is no such thing as a 'tiny little cancer', get yourself regularly checked. you should get hazard pay on top of this project. PSA announcement
Thank you for risking cancer for us sir 🫡 hell of a RUclipsr
Sand blaster could work although i know it’s expensive
LMAO!😂
I have used that to bring a couple of different cars Down to bare metal frames, I can for sure attest to how nasty that stuff can be.
The cancer is from drinking rockstar every day not from paint stripper once a year
One empty can is not a daily habit?

Some mechanic found a crafty way to sell used brake fluid.

I’d still continue to get your blood checked frequently
That stuff is great and works fantastic. Its amazing just how quick it works.
The risks are terrifying. I've never thought it would to be terrifying. I thought it was be pretty sweet to get some stripes with little effort.
Baking soda and water bath, followed with a vinegar bath to neutralise and prevent rust apply your choice of coating or oil.

Use some high percentage alcohol after you clean it and scrub it down again
‘Mild case of Cancer’… 😂😂
I’m with ya! Going to head out today and get some… been struggling for days on this painted metal window mechanism…
Thanks!!

Laser rust removal machines are absolutely amazing. Pretty expensive though.
soak rusty stuff in vinegar for a day or two
Name of the product please
Any suggestions to remove lacquer? I have a dining room table I want to restain and refinish.
What was the name of the product
Klean strip
Would it work for stripping paint from a chrome surface without damaging it? Or would you have any other suggestions? Thank you xx
Acid is the only thing that will remove chrome.
Acts like regular ol DOT3 brake fluid
"I'd rather take years, potentially decades off my life to save a few days of work."
All jokes. Good video my dude. 👍
Ethylbenzine... mmmmmm, make mine a double!
It's not the methylene chloride formula, so there's that.
Is this really toxic?
You were not kidding look at that stuff gooo 👀
after this that part can be painted? the paint will stick or not
😂Or one of these installers who uses Jasco to strip paint off in an industrial setting and the foreman makes you pay for your own PPE but an N95 does not cut it.

Will you mentor me? I want to learn from the best.
NICE!
Can strip chrome plated frame?
Does it work on painted plastic part?
Didn't work for me at all on rustoleum camo!
Is it good for a car with two layers of paint on
Will this work on scopes?

Man of your talent and skill you should be able to make your own sand blaster 😂
Time to build a fume hood.
Does it remove powder coat?
What is the exact brand? Thx for the vidro.
It works with lacquer saxophone?
you have a bigger problem with particle board and the formaldehyde that's inside of it !
Aircraftremover makes the job so easy. Never used a respirator though. I should probably go see a doctor.

If it’s made of steel not aluminum, you could go ahead and give the thing a nice rust bluing treatment, looks way better
It acts like the soy strip we use at work.

Will that strip bluing?
Need some of that to paint my bikes
Wouldn’t it eat through the gloves??
Yes it will after a bit
ABSOLUTELY! Which surprised me… they look like plain old thin household gloves… mine literally melted onto my hands last time I did this!!!
So satisfying to watch
safety first
Lever action rifle body?
Whats it called?
That a daisy red rider?
That kind of stripper is old school
You’re nuts!
They don’t sell that in the U.S.
I don’t know whether to buy it or not 😅
It’s better than lead poisoning and brain damage I always say, I use it for antique auto body work for old cars with lead paints.
What’s it called
Huh interesting
What paint stripper is that?
And where can I buy it? Need it for literally the same thing
Walmart
A Daisy?
My wife is Italian, she uses this to remove the hair from her legs.
🤦

Yes cancer for the win
Methyl Ethyl Ketone is pretty nice, too bad the lawyers too busy getting that removed from every place that still allows it.
Bad joke on cancer
As still in chemo therapy, I really hope you are joking about having cancer.
