- Gila window film installation is pretty simple! The most tedious part is cutting the film to fit your window… or in my case, windows. I’ve had the Gila window film on our front door (and side door too) for over a year now and what the dog hasn’t ripped has held up great.
In this video I’m going to replace the torn pieces of window film with new and show you how I install the Gila window film to our front door and sidelights as I go.

Hi! I’ve had my Gila glass screen film thingie for at least 2 years. Today, I’m going to tackle the job…ALL BY MYSELF! Hubby is outside working. So I get to take my time & get it right!!! Thanks for your honest video. I too have a dog who misbehaves…when she see a squirrel, bird, or deer in our back yard. She mostly just barks loudly.
So, fix your banjo, & do some picking for us! I’m a 6 string guitarist myself. I’m about to sell my banjo, because I don’t have time to play it along with piano & guitar. And mandolin. 😢. I’m not bragging. I just wanna play all instruments.😂.

Good video! Hey! I encourage you to start your dog behavior research. You are obviously bright and hardworking. You can find a way to live with your dog more peacefully. There are some great dog behaviorist that do instruction videos like yours to help with issues humans have with their dogs :) I see in your future the Amazon delivery person knocking on your door, and your dog is quiet and listening to your directions. I wish you all the best

To separate the film from the backing: at the corner, place two pieces of blue tape, sticky side facing each other. Press the tape together, leaving a portion of the end to use as tabs, pull the tabs apart to separate the film from the backing.

What if you put it on the outside of the glass. Dog can't scratch it

it's same from both in and outside!
I've worked with the frosted glass version of this product previously with excellent results, however, I'm having great difficulty getting all the water out of this textured version and I've squeezed the life out of it. I literally just put this up, so I'm going to wait a few days to see if it's justthe solution, which hopefully dries up. Have you noticed this issue?
Maybe it's this pattern I picked but once the solution dries it doesn't look messy at all so yeah, I'd say give it a day and then decide!
