    I heard that American swimmers had very little time out of the water (during the pandemic) because of the looser covid restrictions and also available private pools. Here in Canada the Olympic swimmers had about 3 months out of the water prior to Tokyo! It's amazing how well they competed! Seeing as you have an outdoor pool (very fortunate) did you have your training interrupted at all due to Covid?

      I have been swimming since my freshman year of high school so around 7 years. Most people start swimming much earlier but I started quite late. I was around a pool for most of my life so I had the basic skills but didn't put them to the test until then.

    Are you guys on taper/ a deload week? The volume during the workout was super low so I’m just wondering what the PTs plans were

    • @KyleMillis
      @KyleMillis  3 года назад +1

      No we didn’t taper at all this semester for any meets. We were going quite heavy in the weight room as well. I’m in the sprint group so we do less volume but I didn’t show the whole practice by far. We did probably 5k LC in the morning and 3.5k SCY in the afternoon with the afternoon being spring training with resistance and weight belts.
