For not so detailed hands, you can simplify the fingers into two sections this is especially useful if you draw a scene with a bunch of idle/simple posed hands
Hands used to be my absolute favorite thing to draw. Then other artists got in my head by saying things like, "Every artist thinks hands are extremely difficult, no one likes drawing hands, hands are every artist's nightmare, etc. It really rocked my confidence as a beginner person who loved drawing hands & feet more than anything.
oop lol! But tbh its true- My Art Class - Club doesnt even teach us stuff like this! they just teach us about shading and other stuff which i find kinda annoying but its alr! Videos like this help young artists like us ! :D
I really hate drawing hands! It's so hard, but your tips are helping a lot! Even as a young artist, I'm starting to get the hang of it. Thank you, also, your art is absolutely AMAZING!! (I want my art to look like yours, or just have inspiration 😢😢😢😢
Take as much hand references as you need, there's no such thing as 'too much references' Split the fingers into three cylinders, the thumb being two (common tip) Take reference from your own hands Imagine the fingers as noodle (that aren't too bendable) Take your time, trust the process, and experiment with different hand angles, poses, and shapes
I'd love to see more. Since I sometimes have problems drawing them (not as much as I used to. I gotten better at drawing them. Especially traditionally.) But I'd love to get even better at both digital and traditional art.
Out of all the hand drawing tips I've heard and seen from other artists this one might have been the most easy and effective way to understand. Thank you soo much😭😭
Same, I’m the only one I know who’s REALLY good at animals. I can draw humans too, but not as good I think. Like I drew my profile picture, but when I have to draw a human, it’s SO awkward making them pose, actually. 😅
@@CanineCoolArtStudios-Official yah, it's always looks so odd to me. After drawing animals so much and learning their anatomy, I find it hard to look at and understand humans anatomy 😅
Thank you so much for uploading this to RUclips, it's helped me substantially with how to draw hands. I seriously do hate drawing them but this has made it more tolerable.
This really helps a lot! I've had big struggles drawing hands especially. I really appreciate the tip on making it easier to place the thumb. I'd love any more tips
U found you again! Ohmygod, when I was a beginner artist, I used to sit infront of my tv with a book in hand trying to learn from you! And honestly, you helped me the most. With drawing bodes, faces , eyes. Even hands! Now I do draw pretty decently. But I couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you!
another great way to draw good hands without experience or having to learn how to draw them is first drawing the base (a rectangular shape and don’t forget to consider if its a side view hand, you’d have to make the rectangle thinner depending on the perspective, and also, don’t just draw the rectangle as the palm, draw it including the fingers) After that, get the hand that you don’t write with and pose it like you want it to be like, and use it as a reference. This is very helpful and really easy, and it usually takes me up to 5-10 minutes. (You could also use your sleeves as a reference if you don’t know how to draw them and the rags. Oh , also, a helpful tip for sleeves is making the rags as very tall and thin triangles).
When the fingers go down to the palm I sometimes use a diamond shape as a base. The first line is kinda useless (it’s just there to complete the diamond) but I use the other 3 for the finger shape. Idk if it’s useful for others but I’ll leave it here just in case :D
I actually tried this tip out, an omg is it helpful. Adding the place for the thumb really helps when trying to add the fingers onto the hand, thank you!
Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well! I'll be returning from my break on January 21st. For now here is a short! See you soon!

I just started getting back into drawing hands thanks for the tips to help me draw the hands!
When the fingers go down to the palm I sometimes use a diamond shape as a base. The first line is kinda useless (it’s just there to complete the diamond) but I use the other 3 for the finger shape. Idk if it’s useful for others but I’ll leave it here just in case :D
For fingers, do two very small indents like you would see in your finger looking sideways. This helps the shape a bit and makes it look sharper
I just use a simple oval or circle, no fingers :)
Also i love your voice, so cute
Sounds useful and good timing for finding this given the hand is one my current steps in what I'm drawing
