Fun fact: I was almost a history teacher and bf1 is one of my top 10 games of all time.
You should do a reaction to the bf1 theme then 😳
You should check out the bf1942 intro video the bf theme that plays is noticeably different. There is this one part halfway in where the trumpets are amazing
ruclips.net/video/Tb8PQXPOkCc/видео.html
@@elijahvasquez6603 To be fair, there are a lot of variations of the BF theme that are amazing. (2142, BF 1943, BF5 wake island, BF3, etc.) Might as well with the OG BF theme that started it all. Then go from there.
Marco be honest, you’re secretly a battlefield pro aren’t you 🤔
BF1 is also on my list, with over 4,000 knife kills
BF1's Battlefield One theme genuinely made me have tears when I first heard it loading the game.
Bf1 its like a 1942 version updated
So many memories along with so many remixes throughout the series, I just hope Ea stops messing around actually makes a good one again.
ya me too :/
Just a shame that most of the OG Dice developers have already left DICE. Hopefully, Vince Zampella can turn it around.
BF 4 was the last proper good version of the theme. I love BFV's take, but it does kinda stray away from the classic theme :/
BF 1942 theme is a certified hood classic
Shout-out to the subtitles man, this shows the effort put in every vid (btw, my fav videogame song is : 117 by kazuma Jinnouchi from Halo 4)
Thanks! Slowly adding them. :)
Something that is cool about the BF1942 theme is that it builds up excitement, it is a very exciting theme that amps you up, and then you get into the game and due to the nature of the game, you get straight into the action, it's bombastic and fun, the gameplay carries over that excitement from the loading screen. By the time that energy is starting to fade away, the match ends (matches tended to last like, what, 20-30 minutes?) and it loads up the next map, so you're back on the hype train with the loading theme hahaha, which brings you to a new map and starts that cycle again.
BF1942 was kind of addictive that way, I remember playing it at night and it being like 1 in the morning, I had school the next day and I kept telling myself "okay, after this match is over I should head to bed"... but then that theme kicks in hahaha... and it was like "okay okay, one more. Just one more".
I like the main theme, but the MEC theme from BF2 will always stay with me. Memories of loading into Strike At Karkand for 5 minutes and never really minding how long it took because I would just enjoy the MEC theme song.
you just reignited a long lost memory of mine, thank you brother
Ohhh that fckng MEC ost hahahaha
Un ironically this and battlefield heroes are my favorites 😂
yes bf2 is best
God. That theme has been living rent free in my head for...seventeen years.
Battlefield is one of those franchises you never really think about when factoring in music, but then when you actually think about it they almost always have insanely fitting main themes or match OSTs
Indeed, what a timeless piece
Battlefield 1 hit me big time. I cried when i heard it. Especially the Australian campaign.
Battlefield 1942 is a game that I absolutely miss playing when it was still the only battlefield game. There's something so special about it that I can't place, just... the sheer spectacle and simplicity of the game.
Reminds me of the old days at the cyber-cafe.
So many hours listening to this while the levels load.
Grabbin a soda, and trashtalking the buddies. "Which team you gonna be? Oh yeah? Imma kick your A***!"
Then you run over to the jeep as an engineer, load it up with C4, and kamikaze into your buddy as he's trying to take off in a B52...
BF1942 will probably forever be my favorite war game theme
It just has this different quality that I can't quite explain
My most favourite video game sound track right now has got to be Battletech. I'd really suggest the songs "I Didn't Know", "For All Mankind", "The Argo", or "Umbra".
Jon Everist did a hell of a job for the whole soundtrack.
"For the Reach" is great too.
Save the Metal!
I would say "remember me" and "meat is cheap".
It's just a fantastic ost, in my opinion.
I'd be very interested to see if it has the emotional impact on someone who hasn't played the storyline as it does on me.
I heard this song a lot back in the days, especially because of the loading screens taking forever
So much nostalgia with this theme, lot of good memories from this era of Battlefield. It's hard to pick a favorite theme, but one that I enjoy is the Rainbow Six Siege Invitational Theme. It's not a particularly flashy piece, but is usually played with a live orchestra before the final rounds of the yearly world championship (Six Invitational). I can't think of many other games that do that.
Oh boy. These bangers. I've barely played this franchise but all the ones I played had such BANGING themes. If I remember correctly they also have had call backs to this theme which is really awesome.
To me, the lone bugle/trumpet symbolizes the spirit of a single soldier as the orchestra marches in the background.
Soldiers work together as a unit, but they all have their own spirit.
I love this so much, I played this on my grandpa's pc whenever the game came out! I'm thankful that he had a sturdy desk because I was compelled to hand drum the HELL outta his desk everytime this came on.
NOOOOO man this song!! Hit me right in the nostalgia
My first ever fps on PC, it has a special place in my heart
Oh wow this is a pleasant surprise! BF 1942 has such a dear place in my heart, one of my first FPses and one of my first games I played online
BF1 & BF1942 is my all time favourite BF games not just because the gameplay, the theme song slaps hard too.
The first time I heard this theme was Bad Company and I immediately loved it. I love how each game has their own subtle variations of the same basic theme.
Battlefield 1942's theme follows the Souza formula quite well, I remember studying marching themes when this came out and it's SPOT ON for hitting that niche, but for the orchestra and not the parade.
The Battlefield themes all go stupid hard, my favourite has to be BF3 for nostalgia.
I'd love to see you react to See You in The Next World by Hoyomix, IMO it's one of the most powerful songs they've made next to Moon Halo and Rubia
probably the theme that made me appreciate video music. i still remember being a kid and banging on the desk in rhythm to this while waiting for a game to load.
I played only Medal of Honor 2 (PS2) I remember the use of Trumpet, America has a particular way of using it that sounds THEIRS, as for respect, I remember tehre were some quotes read by a genuine veteran, you could hear his pride and happiness to be part of such a project.
I've been wanting Marco to do a Battlefield video for so long!!
0:04 "All battlefield themes slap really hard" is true, except for the 2042 one that makes my eardrums feel like they're getting slapped lol
I sobbed, for real, when the theme hit during the last tank battle of the tank campaign in BF1. Full on, whole body shudders as I maneuvered to get guns on target, and get buildings between me and enemies during reloads. It's something to be experienced on the highest difficulty. It really highlights the stress, the sheer desperation of a lone tank, caught in an ambush, wounded, missing a crewmember, fighting to complete your orders to take the next town, last remaining one of the dozens that first crossed the trenches with you, over a day ago.
The theme from BF1 “Under No Flag” always gets me in the feels.
Never got to play this game but the theme is so iconic that you'll never forget where it came from once you learn about it. Finish the Fight by Marty O'Donnell from Halo 3 is my favorite video game theme.
"Might be a jam session", immediately jams as soon as the music plays. XXD
I knew there was a reason why I enjoyed your other videos - / another Battefield Bro
Killzone 3 - "And Ever We Fight On" by Joris de Man. Composed right after his mother died, this one pulls the strings just right as the plot is the most desperate place you can be as a player, but you still have to fight on.
Ahh I remember hearing the KH song during the 100k stream and thinking "wtf this sounds like BF"
Thanks and congrats again for all you do!
Man what a blast from the past. I remember physically buying this in the store when it came out. But BF1 remains the most immersive and still my favorite.
My Favorite spin on the Original BF Theme is the Battlefield Heros theme. Its such a bop.
When I often visited one of my school friends when I was little and we wanted to play PC we had to wait until his dad was done playing his games. Very often Battlefield 1942 was played against bots, switching places whenever a map changed to one of us died.
Years later when we weren't hanging out a lot anymore and he sold all his old games I made sure to grab 1942. It's so old it's still on 2 CD's! They're all scratched up from all the years of use but they still work fine :>
MY BROTHER IN THE LIGHT YOU UNLOCKED THIS FROM MY MEMORY YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
The games all have fun soundtracks, but I do think Battlefield 1 has my personal favorite. I remember being just floored by how beautiful the soundtrack is in both the War Stories and in multiplayer, as the range of that soundtrack can go from heroic to heartbreak that really captures the spirit of World War I.
bf1 was so special.
just chillin in the main menu until it hits you with that YAAASNOOOOOO
@@naorishi or playing Operations and the music begins to rise, as all of your allies give a battlecry when the attack on the next sector begins. Goosebumps everytime.
It isn't the main theme but the track Noosphere from Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus is one hell of a banger.
Sooner than you think..
@@MarcoMeatball :O
Yeah, BF series have great OST but my favourite one among first person shooters set in WW2 is Medal of Honor Allied Assault.
The main menu theme still hits so hard despite fact it's over 20 years old
I think our guy Marco would love 'Don't Forget' from Metro 2033
Love metrooooo
Oh, man. The memories. So much fun.
For me when I hear this song, it represents the honorable, immensely courageous and unyielding struggle of the allies during the war. The way they pushed on to save the world, no matter the cost. That mixed with having such a catchy hook and it's a natural favourite that, quite literally, drums up hype and pride.
I've only played a few BF games and not a huge fan of the series but the themes are always special. As for my favorite theme, this is such a hard question, but my choice is Rocket Jump Waltz from Team Fortress 2. It's not the game's main theme but it's the best track in my opinion and it's what I hear every time I think of TF2. It's not the best when compared to legendary themes like Halo, BF, or TLOU but it has so much sentimental value to me. I've spent so many hours in the game and made many friends (some I've even met in real life!). This game and this track will forever be at the top spot for me.
TLOU 🥹
Dawn of a new time from Battlefield 1 would be another amazing track to check out if you plan on doing more Battlefield stuff! Battlefield 1 has such an amazing soundtrack.
Genuinely love the Battlefield Theme. You should check out the Battlefield theme by the London Philharmonic Orchestra, its a really awesome cover.
I know its a mod, but Forgotten's Hope 1 theme song is just... Jesus christ that was some good music.
Makes me want to load the game up again and play. It's been so long. SPITFIRES!
Battlefield 4 Warsaw used to be my fav version of the classic BF Theme, but now it's 100% gotta be BFV Legacy. Say what you will with the stuff surrounding the actual game, but man the prologue to the story is just so damn good. It's all about build up. In the game you start out playing as an assault soldier, move on to a fighter plane, and eventually end up controlling a tank. The Legacy Theme completely reflects that. It's starts with a good amount of build up mostly comprised if original music, but once we get to that tank session it kicks off into the classic theme. You're in a German Tiger 1, in the desert, leading a huge charge of fellow German tanks into a pack of British Shermans. It's so badass, and one of the most satisfying build ups to an iconic theme such as Battlefield's. It's very bombastic and leans less into the military vintage 1940s style that 1942 had, but it's still great imo. As a cinematic prologue to a WWII game, it does its job splendidly
haha you did the thing i always do too , point the finger because you think the horn comes in but it is in the second round
Hahahahaha
Hmm thank you for the intro to a great song, never played any battlefield games, not really into FPS XD
And I’m too indecisive to have a real favourite song, but a few classics I love are Dialga’s Fight to the Finish from PMD2, Fallen Blood from EBF4 and Ba’al Theme From Bravely Default… I like my final boss music XD
Would definitely recommend these and any song from these games, so much good music XD
It has that feel, simple and excellent
Didn't know you were a fan of battlefield.
Marco is a man of good taste.
😂😂😂😂😂
The nostalgic gut punch, ouch.
If we're going in the military shooter genre, then the og Modern Warfare 2 main theme is a must hear
Ahh battlefield, those were fun times.
Just love those WW2 theme, (no sure is there even a music genre called WW2?)
I used to collect WW2 games music such as BF, HOI, COH, WOWS, etc.
And whatever strategy games I played, I played the music list in the background.
For some reason I felt it was helpful for thinking the plan, the strategy.
I distinctly remember as a kid enjoying this theme with the little movie that played with it and of course I played the heck out of the game. Though those times were great I have since lost interest in the battlefield series newer entries. Still this theme is a classic. Like the Halo theme as well.
Good old days. This game changed online FPS gaming forever.
Best battlefield theme :-) Joel Eriksson is great composer :-)
Fun Fact: the main theme here wasnt actually made to be the main theme originally. It was actually made to be the "driving" music for the game every time you hopped in a vehicle. But was chosen to be the main theme after some last minute changes.
Omg lol that's wild
While I'm glad you decided to talk about the music, but I also wouldn't object to a jam session.
Hello there, Marco! ) And sorry for possible mistakes in language. 😉
First of all, want to thank you for your videos. ) Often it really feels like having a dialogue. ) Such a cool thing, to be able to hear someones thoughts about some of my favorite OST's and see the reactions ). Especially from a professional and such charming person. ) Congrats with 100k, btw! This is a huge accomplishment! )
Secondly, want to ask you to share your thoughts about Battlefield 3 OST "Thunder Run" please, if it's possible. I completely understand, this theme might seem kinda monotonous and common, but i feel like as a soundtrack for the mission this thing hits where it needs to hit. Possibly the best track from BF3 OST if judge by certain criteria(*listening to it without any context though, may sound like a full trash to many people xD). Would be interesting to hear your opinion, thoughts and to see your reaction to it ).
*If you haven't play BF3, for absolutely minimal context(if you think you need it), you can watch on youtube the first minute of the "Battlefield 3: Thunder Run Tank Gameplay Trailer (E3)" video and it's ending, starting from ~7:15.
Tnx )
P.S video about the "Solomon's theme" would be as great as well )
Never played 1942, but having played most of the sequels, that theme is utterly iconic. It's always interesting to see what they do with it each time, though the beat is always the same.
Battlefield 1's theme is probably my favorite. And Battlefield 4's too.
the Warsaw theme on all the Battlefields are so iconic. I'm a biggest fan of BF4's Warsaw theme but they're all sooo good
Classic BF1942 theme
The flight of the pigeon
Zadji Zadji
Some Russian DLC songs
The song from the "The Last Tiger" end mission
this freaking franchise has tooo many good OST
Zadji Zadji 💘
The main theme of BF that nostalgia. It has many variations but my favorite themes in general are the BF1 and BFV ones, I hope you can analyze all the themes of those two games, as well as the themes of the BF1 trailers are very good too. 😁😁😁
Such a classic. I love this game.
Man's too excited for the beat to drop.
Minsk and Belgrade themes from BF2142 are some of my favorite BF music.
Also I prefer the BF1943 theme to the BF1942 one, heh.
Now i wanna see Marco react to the XCOM deployment themes from 1, 2 and War of the Chosen (Fire and Steel).
I can see why you like this music, it's classical militarily, but done right
I still love the nostalgia of seeing the Battlefield 1942 game discs. And this theme will stay forever in my mind.
I will say though my favourite version of the Battlefield theme is Battlefield 2142. I love the same military march theme from 1942 but it comes with a fair amount of extra atmosphere to the music to suit the semi-apocalyptic frozen wasteland that the game is set in. By and far my favourite :D
Some pieces that are similar that you might enjoy are the Hearts of Iron 4 main themes for the Allies and the Axis
I recommend you listen to the main theme of Battlefield Bad Company, the melody is the same but the rhythm is a spectacular puzzle. it has an irregular time signature like 13/8 and that makes it quite different from hearing
this is how I feel about GT1 intro
I think the BF3 and BF4 main themes are also doing a great job especially with how hype the games themselves also are. One of my favourite OST songs besides plenty in Genshin Impact are Trackmania Original Rally Race and perhaps also the Bionicle TheGame main theme. All amazing pieces.
We wants an another music from Ori. I propose "Ku's First Flight", or "Espcaping a fool presence", or "Shriek's tale"
My ringtone for the better part of my life xD
Medal of honor lobby theme tho, it be hitting hard as well.
The explanation on rhythm reminded me of CBAT for some reason, can you react to CBAT? 😂
When talking about Battlefields I think Bad Company 2's theme (chamber version) rocks hard. Sadly it's too short.
Please please react to The War to end all wars, Grace and Glory, The Wolves or In The Name of Tsar from BF1. God it has so many amazing soundtracks that makes choosing so so difficult!
And I forgot to add Lacrimosa to the list! Thanks as always Marco❤
Certified hype.
This is *my* BF theme, but BF3's theme jazzes me, man.
Im not a Battlefield fan, but yeah, this is a banger of a THEME.
Now I have the urge to listen to some medal of honor allied assault
I miss the days wenn EA spend the extra money on real orchestras. I was able to hear this played at a live orchestra. It was unbelivable.
I find the Battlefield 2 rendition hits even better.
This was only game where loading was better long than short.
What a game! Back when EA weren't universally known as screw-ups.
Battlefield is my go to fps series, It's so good. Shame the last installment didn't meet expectations
I really hope you react to Super Mario Galaxy's 1 and 2 soundtrack, it was a life changing experience for me.
What's the music playing while you're talking?
